Yeah, I can't wait to see the fallout from this. Peggy, Joan, Pete, ROGER
Does this make Harry more likely or less likely to get partner status?
13 episodes with the premiere counting as 2 since it was a double. How many episodes are in this season? 8 or 12?
lol I can't help it. Horrible I know.Posting on GAF is also NOT GOOD, lol
I love puppies.
Lots of foreshadowing this episode:
- "Before we get bigger we need to get bigger"
- "We are the same sized company"
- "Leaving the small guys to fight for scraps"
- Everyone ending up in the same bar afterwards
- "Lonely hearts"
My first thought, is that how they will bring Peggy and Don back together? It's obvious they're a better team together and less successful apart.
SDCP joining with Peggy's firm?

I thought the same thing. Makes you wonder with Don emphasizing that they need a new name and she should call it something she would want to work at. And then not revealing the name. What do you think the agency will be called?
Any chance it will be a real agency name?
Both were lamenting lost clients and low returns. I think this is a Hail Mary with the hopes that Chevy will pull them both through, regardless of the collateral damage. So, aren't there going to be a ton of conflicts of interest and lost clients as a result of this?
I'm still a little incredulous at the speed of the decision, even if the details are to be worked out later.
Why give an agency instant fame and recognition? What do you think the agency will be called?

A chick is suing for having her face in one of the ads during the intro. In other words, not happening.Could be a now defunct agency
The logistics of showing two agencies running at once would seem to be difficult to pull off. One way they could fix this problem would be for Don’s firm to absorb Peggy’s firm. It would be incredibly ironic, and, of course, she’d be drawn back into Don’s orbit, this time unintentionally.
Great episode. Interesting twist with the merger.. I can't remember feeling like Don has been genuinely happy in a long time but he seemed like he was when in Chaough's office.
the opportunity might have came up due to circumstance and timing but he still thought of it then and there and executed.Hot damn, this has been an amazing season so far. So many stories and characters working seamlessly together.
I could feel the merger coming early on in the episode, but it was still really exciting seeing it come together, despite the fact that Don's gigantic ego put them in such a position. I was rooting for it to fail and succeed at the same time.
I hate the Don sees this as some stroke of genius that he had despite the fact that it was born of circumstance and timing. My heart breaks for Peggy.
It was the right move, but he has no cause to be smug about it. He held the livelihood of dozens of people in his hands hanging by a thread, all because he can't keep his raging ego in check.the opportunity might have came up due to circumstance and timing but he still thought of it then and there and executed.
Pretty great move to take advantage of the situation.
Alan Sepinwall said:(I cannot tell a lie: this review would have been done at least 30 minutes sooner if I hadn't been watching this GIF of Pete falling down the stairs on a loop.)
Pete... how do you take sooooo maaaany losses?
Don told Joan not to whore herself out, sucks that it was for nothing.
Because he only thinks of himself. He assumes any action that he deems acceptable should instantly be embraced by everyone else. The look of shock on his face every time someone disagrees with him, while hilarious, is also a huge sign of how incredibly self obsessed he is.Yeah, he didn't even know how hard he was fucking up.
From two episodes ago:
Eeek.
Joan's breasts are just a caricature now.
Murder-suicide for him.Pete's office killing spree confirmed for the finale?
SCDPCGC is pretty much a dream team. Time to start making history now that Peggy is back to home. I love how Megan's blowjob was the catalyst for the entire thing; it definitely helped put Don in the "fire us" mind state.
It was good to see em out and about the office this episode.

Murder-suicide for him.
