Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Peggy isn't happy to be going back, she was finally out from under Don. Now she is back mixed up in things again.

Did this really happen?

I am speechless.

This episode was huge.

Wait..

I can't process this. They really gonna merge? But Don hasn't asked anyone else at the company? Aren't they gonna be fuming?

I don't get what's to feel bad for peggy. She left SDCP because she felt she wasn't advancing her career enough. She wanted to prove herself on her own, she did that didn't she? Or are we assuming she's still unfulfilled on that front. Either way she's young, she's a woman, and she's working at a huge ad agency now, and will probably take on EVEN more responsibility. For someone as career driven as her, sounds crazy.

More good for her than bad that I see.

This season is shaping up to be my favorite since 3 (which is my #1). If it ends as strongly as it has been the last 3 weeks, oh boy.

She wanted to get out of Don's shadow, and now she's back under it.

Wants to get out of Don's shadow ---> acts like Don.

I think she has proved herself though. I still think she has more to gain than lose from this. Not saying her weary reaction isn't justified, but seems like this will escalate her worth.

reallly? i thought most of the episode was boring except for the ending
what were you watching! Show was non stop from the get go.

This episode was really huge.

The aftermath will be interesting to watch.

Especially with the longstanding rivalry between Ted and Don, not to mention all the other complex relationships going on.

Don didn't know they lost Vick's yet when they merged? Does losing both Jaguar and Vick's threaten the deal, or does having Chevy make that insignificant?

So this episode undid both big changes from The Other Woman.
Considering that was my favorite episode last season (aside from "Signal 30"), I'm a little peeved that its impact was dulled tonight. But without it, we wouldn't have gotten Joan's scalping of Don, so I guess I'll accept it...

I guess Peggy never fantasized about Don.

I read Peggy's reaction more as being upset because she was enjoying the little world she had there especially now that she is crushing on Ted. Now her feelings of him....can't go anywhere with so many more people around/involved/etc....She was settling into her world and now it's time to pick up and move again.

Joan's tirade at Don was accurate. Yet, Don again comes through with his clutch ingenuity. Based on the make-up preparation before going into Ted's office at the end, I feel like Peggy's disappointment at the end also had to do with expecting something else when being called into Ted's office.

to be fair though, without him they are nothing. He is the straw that stirs the drink. The gift and the curse.

I have to wonder about that. Ken and Pete pulled in a lot of that business.

I guess we should have seen this coming from last episode. Odd that Ted saw how these big companies treated the smaller firms and not people at SCDP.

I guess this merger also effectively eliminates Land Pryce's existence entirely.

This is probably also true.
