No harm in putting Hubrecht as your second and Annie as your third.
She could have ended up higher for me, but there are just so many other characters I like in so many ways more than her. Ileum, Regina, Ottomo...
I can respect this.
I can never look at Sampson, and not think of Fullmetal Alchemist Shou Tucker, ha. And it'd be so weird if his Filia hood ornament leads to awkward pantyshots everywhere... I do wonder how important Filia would be in this setup, though. Would she basically just be a near-corpse, or should she constantly be screaming her dissatisfaction and torment aloud, while Sampson does as he pleases?

I almost placed her at number 10, but had to give the spot to Scythana.
She looks passed out, so I guess this version doesn't even realize what happening, or if she did, can do nothing about it.

I like the idea of Sampson in the same way I loved "Future Tense" in Gargoyles or the "Days of Future Past" in X-men but I think a storyline like that needs to be saved for SG2 instead of this expansion pack.
The same goes for Aeon and Venus.
Characters like Isaac and Scythana are better as part of this segue arc.

Just voted. Will post my list for ridicule later, but I did go with Beowulf at the top of my list. 2-13 were much tougher decisions...

May I interest you in Scythana if Beowulf's not your cup of tea?
The game's missing someone with her default range on attacks (and a likely greater impact per hit, maybe shorter but stronger combos, as opposed to the "death of a thousand papercuts" so many others tend to inflict in SG), not to mention her demonstrated feature of weaponizing fallen characters.

"Aw" for Ileum, too. I really wonder how she'd turn out, once we hear her voice, and get to see her in action. Female 'Sim + Posion does sound really annoying and interesting, overall...
Yeah, it's just a... interesting situation. I'm sure she'd do SOEMTHING, even if it was just to wake up for a win pose, freaking out, only to get swallowed deeper into the Symbiotic body...
It is a creepy idea, ha.
I don't think it really matters much storywise. If anything, this is a good time to get a bonus "Lets just write a funky what-if!" style story. All the SG stories are What-if's so far anywho, so getting to peak at a characters powers is no different than, say, Akuma's Appearance in Super Turbo.
Plus, getting a Story character out of the way would make room for a "for fun" character to be created for the sequel, potentially.
I'd be perfectly fine with every non-canon, "Why are they here?!?" inclusion being chalked up to Aeon writing fanfiction, even. She's probably the one behind the Scythana X Beowulf pairings, anyway...
I guess I just like the idea that these DLCs could tease the whole universe, rather than just the straightforward story we know so far.

The complicated methods in which one could ship characters, with such vast knowlegde and perception...
I imagine her playing a game of tag with Valentine. Valentine tries to revive team mates and Scythana keeps throwing them away.
I can see that happening, she does look stressed, and Samson does use her to perform some attacks.

Problem with voting like this is that its easy enough to vote for the top and bottom 5, but in the middle Im like yeah who cares, somebody being 23rd or 25 doesnt mean anything to me.

I never noticed it before, but as I went through the voting, I saw that in Beowulf's gameplay inspiration, it has Captain America listed.
Beowulf is even more my character now.

I'll admit, I kind of felt the same way. I was tempted to just sort of move characters up and down at random after I picked my top and bottom 3 characters, although I eventually changed my mind and put my whole list in order.
This is the reality of votes that start out very large with many candidates. As candidates dwindle, people get more focused and actually vote for who they like more aggressively. There are benefits and pratfalls to any voting methodology. There's no perfect way to do this really.
I personally prefer this voting method though. It gives characters at the margins considerably better chances of performing well.
