You could always call them at (310) 907-2400.

Ask for Aileen Budow (Senior VP, Digital Media & Special Events) or David Schwarz (Senior VP, Communications). They should be able to answer your questions about this.
Or you could simply ask the operator to direct you the right way.
that would require talking to another person. ya, no. The schedule for the 21st will be out in a couple of days. I'll wait.

If this is true Microsoft dropped the ball. A month GAP between E3 they need the momentum.

I wouldnt call that dropping the ball. E3 is for game reveals. A console reveal is for revealing a console. Talking about the features, showing the console, showing the controller and then a few games will build all the momentum they'd need going into E3. Unless of course people don't like what was shown, and then there will be zero anticipation for the games that will run on the console that was revealed.

I think we'll see at least one big game. Something big enough and good looking enough to silence some of the spec criticism and generate hype for rest of E3.

They don't have to show a lot of games. Just what they show has to deliver a strong message. Something like: one great first party core game, some Kinect game, and an exclusive third party game.

The more I think about it, the more I think this will be games focused than people think. The fact that it's going to air on Spike and Gametrailers, makes me think it's targeting games. The E3 presentation will probably look like the ones of the last couple of years.

So COD Ghosts (which is confirmed) and ... a racing game would be my bet. (Or Fifa)
Yeah would be my bet. Announce support from third parties, demo CoD on new Xbox (+exclusive DLC), show a trailer for the racing game and demo Kinect 2.0. After the unveil third parties will all announce their support for the Box and MS can release new info till E3.

There they bring out the big guns, hats and only a little bit of Kinect (mostly optional integration).

I'm predicting:
PGR5
New exclusive IP from Epic (Samaritan?)
Rare's game

For E3:
Rare's other game
New Lionhead IP
Alan Wake 2

Anything else in the works by Microsoft (Black Tusk, Victoria, Big Park, etc.) probably won't make the cut for launch so I didn't list them.

Some CGI trailers?

FUCKKK, I super pumped for Alan Wake 2. No game can come close to that Remedy Touch.

That is very little for E3. They will need a lot more than that. I wonder if that Killer Instinct renewel will make something happen. Also Crackdown 3.

I actually think it is much more likely for them to show their exclusive games at this event than E3. E3 will be used to show off the OS, discuss Xbox Live, and show Kinect 2.0 for the mainstream media. I think this event is going to be geared toward the hardcore.

I'm not getting my hopes up for Crackdown 3. Still think its unlikely. Plus if it happens, it happens, and will be a surprise that might steal the show if they've learned some lessons from 2.

I really doubt Alan Wake is for launch. Remedy is a small team and needed a lot of a time to build the engine for 360. American Nightmare could be developed fast, because the engine and tools were in place. They are probably building a new one for Durango.

So I'm pretty sure we will see a trailer at E3, but no 2013 launch.

The Sony unveil showed that the mainstream media doesn't give a shit about games that much. They are only interested in Apple features. So I'm sure MS will focus on that (+CoD) to get the goodwill of the mainstream press. The hardcore gamers are probably gonna be a little bit disappointed, but they can easily win them back at E3 with a strong showing, an event which is followed by hardcore gamers. Not so much by the mainstream press.

No they said most will be at E3 for the big games.

"On that day, we'll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19 days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we'll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games," said Xbox's community guru Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb.

Four first party titles (and The Witness is an exclusive). Then there was Deep Down, Destiny and Watch_Dogs. And the tech demos from Square Enix and Quantic Dream. And that phallus drawing tool.

Many, but the mainstream media didn't care. The unveil is the best chance MS has to excite them. They need to convince them that the new Xbox is going to be the next hot entertainment product. Gamers can wait till E3.

I really don't care what the mainstream media takes away from conferences. This is the same mainstream media that lapped up Wii Fit and Wii Music. Their interests are not mine. The app thing is even more irrelevant to me because a lot of those features are going to be shared. Microsoft will have unique apps and Sony will, but most of them will be shared.

Witness is timed exclusive i remember

I've heard a lot of harping about how Sony has this huge first party studio advantage, but when you have companies like Remedy, Crytek, Harmonix, Epic, Respawn, Frontier, Ruffian making exclusive games (in addition to Turn 10, 343, Rare, Lionhead, BigPark, etc) why does it matter where the exclusives come from?

More likely 2nd or 3rd party exclusives will have a bigger impact on sales than the first party titles.

I was about to post that... the latest videos from MS Research should give a good idea of the integration of kinect in metro interfaces.

I really hate the hover to select with Kinect. If they implemented that gesture to select by opening closing your hand it would be much faster. Hope they are completely rethinking the gesture control with Kinect 2. Wave to activate is terrible too. An open close hand gesture with both hands simultaneously would be a much faster way to activate/deactivate gesture recognition also without that annoying wave your hand icon constantly popping up. And the hand at side gesture to open the guide should go as it is too slow and doesn't work easily when sitting. Something like making an X with your arms would be much faster to bring up the guide and tie into the theme of the X-box.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but juding from this tweet I think they'll be doing something similar:

Don't think they will be hyping the event.

Hype leads to disappointment.

I thought The Witness was on PC and iOS too.

Our deal with Sony is a limited-time exclusivity that applies to competing console platforms. Basically it is that you will see the game on the PlayStation 4 for a while before you will see it on the Wii U or the rumored next Microsoft console. (We haven’t been disclosed on Microsoft’s next console, so I don’t know anything about that platform besides the rumors that are on the internet).

This exclusivity does not prevent us from being on the PC or iOS at launch, for example.
