Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

I can't understand how anyone could actively dislike her. She's this tragic figure who despite being horribly disfigured during war, still decided that she wanted to be useful to her Kingdom and agreed to be grafted with some experimental synthetic parasite. Now she can't have any real physical contact with anyone without putting their lives at risk. Yet she ignores all that and devotes herself to playing the role of a mother figure to the war orphaned kids of Lab 8 who probably wouldn't be accepted anywhere else because of their appearances and "modifications". She understands they need someone. She tries her best despite her appearances. She dislikes engaging in confrontations and abhors what her abilities can do to another human being, but will not run away when her adopted family is in danger.
I think Ileum's a pretty likable character.
What? Dudes design is so plain. Everyone one else looks cool. He just looks like some guy who couldnt afford the rest of his furry outfit. so he stapled what he had to overalls. He looks plain.

Yeah about Ileum, you know when you see an open wound or a nasty injury etc. and you get weak in the knees, can't make a fist, and all that stuff. That's her. With the superb animation of Skullgirls I think I would get that feeling whenever she is on the screen. If I weren't such a wuss she would be higher on my list cause gameplay wise she sounds pretty cool.
I also like Painwheel's story for similar reasons. I also find the strange adoptive mother-daughter relationship that she is sort of starting to form with Valentine, who is one of the reasons Carol is Painwheel now, interesting. The whole tragic aspect to the thing.
And it's that dichotomy between kind loving mother figure and horrifying dangerous intestinal creature thing that is part of her appeal for me. It's strangely charming to me that she chooses to wear a expressionless mask as her "face".

Yeah, it has nothing to do with being ugly and everything with her being gross which is different. Sure, that's the entire point, and yeah, I like it too (not over my top 10 choices but I'm ok with her), but the whole "pretty much being made of intestines" is just too much for some people.

If a male character makes it in I rather have one of the more interesting ones. The fact beowulf is so popular is pretty fucking sad. Panzer is pretty bad too but at least he looks cool.

The top 8 was an even split and a guy (Beowulf) missed the top 4 by 9 votes. I think it's quite plausible that a guy (again, Beowulf) takes it this time.

Panzerfaust and Beowulf are probably the only guys who stand a chance at all. No way I'm changing my top two of Annie and Feng, though.

It's not like I would be mad if Beowulf makes it in, but disappointed at the people who made it happen as there's so many better picks in the roster than a half-assed fur suit Kanji.

This is how I feel, but I feel like I'd be cool with either Issac or Taliesin on the male vote. I've really warmed up to the latter.

Panzerfaust is the legit best male candidate for this game. His gameplay sounds fuck awesome to look at/straightforward, he is a dark horse with lots of fan art and his fanbase is respectably quiet like Aeon's. I like him the most.
Mike has been pretty good about making interesting air normals that change the trajectory and speed of different characters in the air. I'm very very curious about how Mike plans to make Panzerfaust compete with the rest of the cast in mobility.
This needs to be stressed. People kept thinking this about Beowulf even during the final days of round #1. It persists even though it's clearly stated that he will be different in his gameplay description.
There should be a collection of these online somewhere. They make me crack up every single time.

That's a bad sign- IMO. In an even 4-4 split, not a single dude made it through to the last round. Team chicks outnumbers team dudes (by a lot, more than likely), and with the new voting system, no female voting split will be able to occur so that a dude could slip through.
I don't have doubts in your guys' ability to do that but I still can't take the image out of my mind. Best thing that could happen is to rid the possibility altogether by not having him show up in the final vote at all, but due to his performance last time and the fact that the voting pool in the final round is larger that's going to be impossible.

I do not know about that, familiarity attracts people quite a bit too.
