I'm glad she's not. When her sister came out, they thought it was Amanda and damn near bum rushed her with bullshit, cops should tase them.

How come it seems like parts of Ramsey's story keep changing. In all the interviews I've seen there are a few things that stay the same but small variations. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, but it's mostly involving whether he knew who Amanda was or not. He said in an interview it started coming to him when he went to call 911 and he though she was dead, then we hear his 911 call and he has no clue who it is and actually gets the name wrong. But for the most part he's been consistant on saying it was more than just him and they kicked out the bottom of the door. At least from everything I've heard.

In reference to him saying he waited til the police got there, I think it may have just been heard wrong. He's said pretty consistantly that the cops got there and got the other girls out of the house.

from some of what ive seen he said in the first one that he pryed it enough for her to come out

Yeah that's the impression I got. They couldn't get the door opened all the way, but enough for Amanda and the little girl to squeeze out. When police got there they busted the door open and got the other women out.

In one interview he kicked the door down. In another interview he couldn't get the door open so he waited for the cops and they kicked the door down. Lots of stuff like that throughout the interviews.

He kicked part of the door down so that she could leave, the police broke the whole door down... at least that is what I understood about his statement.

EDIT

sloooww.. what they said ^^^^

I see GAF is well on the way to stripping Charles of his 'hero' status already. While also foaming at the mouth for these girls to say something.. Shameful.

It would be much better if we as a people would just let these girls heal and not 'need and want' them to address people that had nothing to do with anything by providing a statement.

Don't do this.

Maybe he didnt kick the door down and it was someone else there, but there's no way they waited for the cops to kick the door down. Both he and the girl called the cops separately. They waited for the cops to go in and get the rest of the girls.

The national and world media are disgusting. The way they rushed the sister as they came out of the house and apparently talking to other family members when they were told not too is just wrong. Give the families the time they need.

Yeah that was disgraceful and disgusting. And honestly, the police should have known better than that. They should have set up a location for someone to talk with the mics arranged there and set up a perimeter a few feet away from that to keep the media back and out of her face.

May sweeps, gotta get those exclusives. The more sad thing is when the story first broke no one nationally really seemed to cover it for the entire first day. Or even sadder you get people like Rush Limbaugh using the story to try to blame Obama...

Yup, media is just disgusting.

How did he manage to attempt to do that?

He was comparing the story to the Hawaii 5-0 story from the night before where a couple were kidnapping kids to get more welfare. Then he alleged it could be the reason by saying Cleveland was an Obama town and that no one really knows the reason why they kidnapped the girls yet, so why can't that be the reason? It was pretty pathetic.

They don't care, but they've been handed all this money-making potential. Can you blame them for using it? Really?

They do need the money after being locked up for ten years. I'd milk it for all it's worth. Exclusive interviews, tell-all book., rights to a movie.

The media isn't exactly helping the families begin the long road to some semblance of normality.

Missing for 9 months like Elizabeth Smart is one thing, but 10 years? Sheesh. Does she even know her sister anymore?

I think financial stability is the last fucking thing on the minds of these women right now.

I just saw the Anderson Cooper and one of the other interviews with Charles - dude is a real dude, hahaha!

How about missing for 18 years like Jaycee Dugard? You want some honest nightmare fuel? Read the wiki article on it.

I now have to read her book.

I read it when it came out. I think I'm traumatized for life just thinking about her descriptions of when Garrido went on his "runs" (series of drug binges and sexual assaults) and how he needed her help with "his sexual problem". Not that it goes into minute detail or anything...just the whole idea and horror surrounding what she went through for such a long time and at such a young age.

Yeah just the wiki article really fucked with me in conjunction with all this. I want to read Dugards book, but I know its going to be really tough. I already checked out the first ten pages on Amazon and just how she describes being shot with the stun gun to being thrown in the car....it made me feel sick to my stomach and want to cry at the same time.

Yeah, while reading you keep thinking "she was a pre-teen...she was 11...ELEVEN!!"....when this was happening to her. And then the first pregnancy at 13 or 14 or whatever. Horrifying. Just horrifying and really difficult to digest

Oh please.. no one here is trying to strip Charles of his hero status. The man is absolutely a hero. We're just questioning why his story seems to be constantly changing.

Memory isn't all that reliable. And the more detailed you're ask to recall something, the more the memory gets distorted. The brain fills blanks in to make sense out of missing details.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek is uncovering more about the dark world inside the home where three women were held hostage for years and years getting sexually abused.

Multiple sources say that the man living there had written a suicide note years ago outlining what he did and why. Ariel Castro is sitting in the city jail, so of course, he never did take his own life.

But Gallek has learned that in the note, Castro talks about a sex addiction and needing help. It puts some blame on the victims for getting in the car with him, and it refers to family problems and a poor childhood.

Castro and his two brothers, Pedro and Olin, are being held in jail in separate cells. A source who's been in the jail says the suspects are getting a lot of verbal abuse from other inmates.

from what he said in several interviews, i think he and the spanish dude kicked out the bottom of the door and the girl and daughter crawled out and when the police came, they knocked the door in and got the other two women.

They were supposed to charge yesterday, I'm assuming there's a whole bunch of shit they keep learning and filing the charges is delayed as a result.
