Not lighter, I like the weigth, maybe make it even heavier. I hate flimsy controllers.
didn't bungie just say that they were asked for input into ds4 and they wanted the controller to feel more substantial?

btw anyone find it weird it's on campus. why do you think they did it that way?
I always preferred the Duke controller over the S-controller for the original Xbox. Not lighter, I like the weigth, maybe make it even heavier. I hate flimsy controllers.

Great weight and shape, it was awesome for Halo: Combat Evolved. We're probably not getting something as big as that for the next Xbox though, but it would be nice with something a bit heavier than the current Xbox 360 controller.

What I'd really like is real force feedback on sticks.
I mean, them becoming harder to push, fighting against you, being able to move by themselves.
would open a number of possibilities.
Battery and size make it impossible though, I think.
C'mon people, get hype!

Bringing the Windows kernel to Xbox is a big deal. It means middleware developed for PC will quickly be available for Xbox devs and it means apps can be ported between PC/Xbox very quickly with only minor changes to the interface. It doesn't mean that Xbox is going to be using Windows 8 OS though. WinRT apps and games can be ported in weeks instead of being created from scratch for months or years.
The fact that they can run the Windows kernel (minWin) on phones now means that it will not consume too many resources of Xbox. Bringing the Windows kernel to phones last year was a major breakthrough. They're running this kernel on 1GHz ARM processors with 512MB of RAM and the devices are snappy and have instant resume in task switching. Xbox will have much more power than that to spare.
