I'm pretty sure Jtevenson said Sony's made money on every Ratchet game. I have to imagine there will be a tie-in for the movie.

Wow really?

This changes everything. If the movie is successful then they have to do a Ratchet game for PS4.

They need to get the hype train at full speed. Microsoft will have momentum going into E3 after their reveal so Sony needs to bring out the big guns.

Pretty sure they have more than one team.

Stig's new game. He has his own team now at SSM I believe.

Ah okay, I forgot about Stigs team. I heard rumors it's a fantasy based game?
Edit: actually it could be GG who is working on a fantasy based.

Why is Sony so brilliant when it comes to capturing nostalgia from its loyal fans? First it were the videos leading up to the February 20th Meeting, and now the Gran Turismo one.

I think I'm going to go shed a tear now.

How do u explain PASBR then? :p

Too many licensing issues got in the way of that. We couldn't have classic Dante because Capcom wanted to push the new one. No Lara because Crystal Dynamics wouldn't allow it. Doing simple marketing is much easier to tap into a platforms legacy since they really don't have to be concerned about that nonsense.

Well this is interesting. Sony Santa Monica has put up these two new job postings.

Notably, unlike the puzzle/platforming and online programmer job postings from a few weeks ago, these do not list "Join the God of War team!", so these are either for a different team in Sony Santa Monica, or they are trying to not just be known as the God of War people anymore.

In summary, the desired skills they are looking for are:
-First/Third Person Shooter experience.
-Vehicle combat experience.
-Open world experience.
-Boss design capabilities.

understandable
no explaining the sad 1st party lineup though
fat princess and Zeus really?

I'm sick of FPS games just as much as God of War. :(
same here, only FPS's I am looking forward to are Shadow Fall and Battlefield 4

I am most interested in the Quantic Dream PS4 project, Final Fantasy XV, Naughty Dog, Ready At Dawn, DriveClub, Knack, Planetside 2, The Last Guardian and Infamous Second Son

and whatever else Sony is cooking up

I want something like Zelda and Shadow Of The Colossus from Santa Monica.

Shut up with your good ideas.

Im hoping for a good platformer from someone...something similar to Ratchet if Sony doesnt want to jump right into Ratchet right away. A good, mascot platformer. Spyro, Crash, Ratchet. Something like that. I just want to jump around and collect shiny things.

Knack?

I just want the forum ending 'fantasy' megaton to finally become a reality, with the announcement of Final Fantasy VII remake as a PS4 exclusive.

I'm not even that bothered about this after over a decade of rumours and tech demos that lead to nothing. Just in it for the reactions.

I would rather have new games.

Cant believe people are hoping for FFVIIR. That would be a massive waste of ressources imo. Plus, most people would end up hating on it anyway.

I don't even know how well it would actually sell in todays marketplace. I'm 29 next month and most of my friends from the PS1 days remember it fondly but I doubt any of them would flock to buy a remake all these years later. I guess it's just such a defining 90's game that it's sort of held in the highest regard to this day.

a remake is gonna happen eventually
nothing wrong with hoping for one that looks like the tech demo instead of the FFV shit they pushed out their anus

The Mark Cerny Show @ E3, The Prequel

To be fair -- that Verendus post was a reply to me asking about GG and their new IP. They ended up showing another Killzone. It's obvious they are working on something else -- but he was wrong about what they decided to show unless GG is pulling double duty.

Sony recently trademarked Order 1668 (or some year) which seems to be the other GG IP so maybe that will be shown soon. Maybe Sony will do: here's what's gonna be coming to PS4 from launch until holiday next year thing at e3.

I definitely have my eye on it. It looks good and Cerny is behind it so...I have high hopes. Really hoping its playable at E3 so I can get some impressions.
Aside from Killzone, it was the only game we saw pure gameplay from at the Meeting (over Remote Play), so likely will be playable.

BLR hinted at knowing who the IP belonged to and he said it was not GG.
