I wish I was better @ puck, I just never seem to get the teleport part down the way I intend to.. end up overextending myself and getting into trouble.
The tri lane got blown out in 2 seconds. I believe I or someone else died in our jungle within 20 seconds. I have been playing since mid march so even since that game there has been big changes in my game. I was not expecting to be a captain where practically no suggestions were made especially when i had 0 idea how anyone played.

You asked for captain, was thinking about drow ban/pick, actually picked pa with no synergy. By all means, the gaf ihs are very open, and as milkman has put it, we love to see new faces in our inhouses. If your game has picked up, then maybe you'll feel a little more comfortable in these inhouses? (And not leave the game 17 minutes in)
Look, you said teams were stacked, they were not stacked, agree to this and then carry on with your current story.
The KOTL called gg and left 1st. I asked for captain assuming suggestions would be made given I knew no one.

The tri lane blew you out in two seconds because you drafted dual lanes instead and didn't field a tri lane, and we didn't help you draft because when we set up a games with not-top tiers captaining against each other, experienced players try not to give any input to keep the game even. Meaning, 109 and I didn't say anything except "please don't ban or pick drow", and milkman didn't really help Final. You called gg first, and I thought you had left first but since we can't get the replay I suppose we can't resolve this. My point being no one will fault you for not being the best, but playing a game where you asked for captain, got outdrafted, and rage-unfriended everyone on either team isn't going to earn you any friends here.

I will never forget the time I outcarried the other team's Sven with Puck though. It was an incredible moment (our team literally had no one with any carrying potential).
Also I need to play more IH's, but won't get to play Dota 2 anymore until Saturday due to moving out of my dorm (finally graduating, woooo).

Match in question. Anyone familiar with GAF players can say those teams are reasonably balanced, you just got completely outdrafted and blown out. Which 109 tried to tell you, about as nicely as 109 can manage it.

Does heartstopper even proc quill sprays? Seems like a death by spoon kind of match-up between the two provided necro is given any time to itemize.

The teams weren't even stacked in anyone's favor really. In fact they were probably stacked more towards radiant, you guys just had silly lanes and picks and that lead to total domination by our sexy Tuskar / TA / Disruptor lane.

So can someone give me some good tips for what to look for when constructing a team for a trilane? I know you want someone who benefits from offlane solo, but I'm not sure what synergies I should be looking for in the trilane itself and/or which heroes do well splitting experience three ways
Only reason it worked out so well was because Milk was in charge of it, really. Game is much easier when at least one person communicates.
Also, that painful Nightstalker game I had during that same IH session motivated me to start practicing with mid heroes. I play mainly support heroes and occasionally carries because I have really bad game sense, maybe practicing with aggressive gankers will help improve that.
Grinding some Nightstalker really helped me improve.
So how do I get in on this inhouse league?

Friend everyone in the NeoGAF channel, play regularly at nights preferably with other GAFs, get on GAF Mumble and maybe you will get lucky. Truth be told whenever I have free time there isn't really an IH up and I just play with some Gaffers which is always fun. Whenever there's an IH up I am not free myself. I guess its for the better, I don't have Mumble or even a damn microphone to communicate with.
There honestly should be some sort of a schedule or prior notice to these IHs. And there should be more than 1 going on at a time.
Someone will probably post in this thread that an IH game is up. You can also join the GAF Dota 2 steam group, someone will likely post an announcement. Finally the NeoGAF chat room will have people saying that an IH is up as well. Just enter "neogaf" as the password and you'll find the lobby if it's up.
It's not really a league, anyone is free to join in and play. No minimum skill level, just warn the players if you're new and the teams will be balanced accordingly. And don't get mad if you're offered advice/critisism. I get a lot of it from 1.09, and rightfully so, haha.

You have a higher % chance to get an item when you level up. Simply having a bonus doesn't guarantee anything.

-Have at least one easy to land set up spell
-No more than one melee
-Make sure your tri-lane has a goal and succeeding at that goal should help you win the game

Offensive:
Usually a setup that tries to go for kills or to bully the other side out of exp/gold range. Here you have heroes like VS, Veno, Lina, Io, Sven, Tiny, CK, along with some combos like CC hero + Juggernaut or CC hero + Ancient Apparition.
Defensive:
A ricing setup. You want heroes that can really babysit your (usually) hard carry. Though you'll want disables/slows as well, the way you use them is different, and you'll often want a lot of harass. The poster child of defensive lanes is KOTL + PL. UD, Omni, Dazzle, Tree (theoretically), Void, AM all work well here.
Flexible:
A trilane that is a good mix of offensive and defensive capabilities. The key point of this is that it doesn't have to be a trilane at all, and that you can bugger off to roam or go support safe lane/mid if you need to. Most Offensive trilanes are also Flexible ones by nature of being disable heavy.
Dual Lane + Jungle:
This is when your Jungle occasionally pops in to fuck up your enemies. Not really a trilane in the normal sense but can be really effective if your opponents aren't prepared for SUDDENLY ANCIENT CREEPS/BATTLE HUNGER/ION SHELL.
Honorable Mention - Nature's Prophet Trilane:
When every 2v2 is actually a 2v3.

This pretty much. We typically do inhouses on Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun at American night, because those are the days most people aren't busy.

Did a clean install of windows and played a couple games, and my packet loss issue seems to be gone, thank fucking god.

CM is great in most duel lanes if the second person has any sort of aggressive spell. At level 2, she does 240 Magic Damage, has a 1.5 Second stun, and a 3.5 second slow. Pairing her with Sven, CK, Skeleton King, just any carry who has a stun often works out really well.
Also, she can get a decent amount of extra income by freezing some Medium/Hard camp, her Frostbite will do 700 damage to creeps.

I bought it yesterday, after it was mentioned in this thread.
I will be monitoring the market then. There is already an inconsistency: either the six-day bonus should be cheaper, or the 95-day bonus should be more expensive.
