Whoops, forgot about that. Microsoft will probably lock down some huge timed exclusives, thus ensuring they'll make more profit over the life of the console than their competition.
I know you are just joking statham, but for those who would say that in seriousness (there are those people) then I'd say look towards all of the people who buy Gears and Halo, or even all the people who buy the CoDs on the Xbox because that's the place to be for that series.
I know it's crazy for some people to think outside their narrow-minded bubble, but there are waaaaaaay more people than you, who like different things then you. There are a lot of people who like video games just as much, but for different reasons. They might enjoy stuff like Gears or Halo more than Mario or Uncharted, but I don't see how that invalidates their "Hardcore Gamer" card more than anyone else.

Not sure if that'll be the case with 3rd party exclusives like Respawn's game, but we'll see.
In real life? Nothing. On here? Well, it's just not a popular opinion. People seem to forget that all consoles have hardware issues and that Microsoft still only has the Halo franchise and nothing else.
The OS reserve rumor never got as much traction/corroboration as the RAM, GPU and CPU rumors. Have any sources talked about it lately?

I'm gutted in a way that MS haven't followed this campaign up for this coming generation. It was great being part of that. I genuinely hope that it isn't an indicator of a complete change in focus at Redmond and that they are going to blow everyone away on the 21st.

nothing is wrong with it. I have a lumia 920 and surface rt and roll with a win7 laptop for school.
Doesn't mean fans can't be critical or have distrust for them.
Based on their actions in video games since about 09-10, I personally speaking on my own behalf, just don't see them going all out on hardware....I seem them having a console that is $300-$350 to manufacture, packed in with Kinect adds an additional $50-$100, putting total price at $400, then selling it at $499 to make a $50 - $100 profit.
It's exactly what they did with the surface rt. Lot of people hate it, but I think it's a great consumption device and far more prefer it to the ipad, but it definitely is not worth the price tag the thing has.

You seem a bit bored of the fanboy shit, I understand that so why give them an audience . I've seen it elsewhere, if people don't reply they soon stop doing it or end up fucking off.
MS couldn't secure a single Yakuza game this yen. Their relationship with Japan in general needs to be addressed.
Are they still interested or not? I don't want another half assed effort that get shoved halfway through the gen because Mr Don Mattrick is not happy spending money to get more games.

I generally do. It seems I spend most of my time here on the gaming side replying to those who are confused by fanboy crap and calling out a few select fanboys who I enjoy messing with.
That's crazy because I remember seeing him say that he didn't like to go into hardware/software specifics because of his NDA, even though he no longer works there. I know he had issues with their corporate culture but i must have missed him confirming this tidbit. Anyway, thanks for the answer.
Hardcores trust Sony more? Sony Move - a complete failure. Sony Vita - a complete failure. I think theres a a shitload of problems still burried within the core of Sony. Maybe if they keep selling buildings you guys will continue to feel better about their financials also eh? But youre out of your mind if you think you represent this voice for all hardcore games. Maybe Sony Gaf will go with enjoy your slant, but the rest of the gaming world thinks very differenntly. Move, Vita, both shoot down your point. PS4 has one hell of a battle up ahead.

Ram reserved for the OS can change though, it might have been 3 gigs last year, but it can change.

I really hope microsoft doesn't focus too much on services that will never be seen outside the US. I feel that If you live anywhere outside the US it's just better to be a PS3 owner like comparing EU PS+ and the US version, we get the better games usually and we get more TV services as well compared to Xbox. We also still don't have access to the Indie games store which is totally baffling.
At the start of this gen I was primarily an xbox player, but as time went on I couldn't see what I was getting with my Gold subscription so slowly migrated to buying all multiplatform games on the PS3. I still have a Gld sub but the only game I played for the past year on Xbox has been Fifa and that's only to play with a family member who only has an Xbox but I also have the PS3 version.
I really hope they focus on more international users.

Posts like these shows your projecting your own biases more than anything.
It's like a sports fan thinking the refs are biased against their favorite team because of bad calls. When in reality those bad calls happen all the time to every other team in the league, but since they're not emotionally attached to the other teams, they don't notice or care.
There's nothing wrong with being critical about a company or product, but when it gets to the point where people make stupid pictures and everyone piles on like some sort of schoolyard high-five-fest, it gets really fucking annoying and shitty to go into any Xbox related thread because you can already see the awful posts being quickly typed up:
-RROD it's awful! Microsoft gonna' screw it up again! It'll burn down your house!
-Xbox Live Gold is robbery! Call me when they don't charge for multplayer!
-Microsoft has no games except Halo!
-Kinect is so dumb because I dislike it!
These are the horrible, awful posts you see strewn about any thread involving the Xbox (and usually Microsoft) stuff, even when they're not relevant to the topic at all. Instead of people commenting about how cool or stupid the name "Infinity" is in that thread, they're just making dumb pictures with dozens upon dozens of worthless "sick lol" "cold lol" posts that add nothing at all.
Not to mention that these points aren't always as completely black and white as people make them out to be. The 360 has had bad hardware problems but so has a lot of other consoles, and Microsoft has seemingly fixed most of their problems with the Slim. Xbox Live has way faster download speeds, cross-game chat, and stabler infrastructure stuff compared to PSN. Kinect is something that a lot of people have bought and enjoyed, even people who would consider themselves hardcore gamers. Once again, if people don't like this stuff than that's fine, but don't tell me people don't go out of their way to keep harping on it in every single Xbox-related thread because it's there.
People like you who are critical yet reasonable and fairly objective aren't the problem, it's the people (you know who, they post in this thread) that go out of their way to keep harping on the same (sometimes unrelated) shit to keep a negative aura about the thread when people are just trying to talk about what they want to see or expect about the event. Thankfully this thread has cooled down since most people get it out of their system earlier on, but it still happens.

I'm not upset (sorry if it came off that way), but I see what you're saying. The pictures may be one thing, but the posts with just a quote of it and a two word response adds nothing to those threads at all. I still don't see how those pictures are on topic in a thread about the name of the console though.
Responses are just acknowledgement of the truth and positive feedback if the picture was genuinely funny. I don't necessarily agree with that Xbox Infinity pic with the "infinite Halo, limited warranty" subtitle, but I still laughed.
