Survivor 26: Caramoan |OT| Fans (Recruits) vs. Favorites (Crazy People)

I would like to see an all new cast of characters, these returning Survivor seasons are good, but it would be nice to have completely fresh faces. One world was a disaster in the sense that they cast people who we're too dumb for their own good, but I would like to see a more intelligent cast of characters for Blood versus Water.

Blood...........the entire Hantz family maybe?

my assumption is that there will be two teams. one of favorites or whatever and the other are those peoples relatives. the blood vs. water will happen at the merge. like, are your alliances made on the original teams more important than blood. which, of course, won't be because who would trust someone youve known for 3 weeks over someone youve known for a lifetime?

If you guys are willing to entertain potential (highly likely) casting spoilers, you can check out all the speculation about next season starting here in the spoiler tags.

No results spoilers obviously, as the season hasn't started filming yet.

I hate that they didn't get to talk to any of the pre-juror votes. Hell, they didn't even talked to Erik! What the hell is this? They should have scrapped boston rob, rudy and that little girl. Ugh.

Also while it's already confirmed more or less, looks like it will be Rob C and his wife on the next season.

Plus, tonight I can tell you a bit about some big news for @NicoleLuvsShoes and I that you might be sick of hearing about by September.
NicoleLuvsShoes is his wife.

Recap the F9 ep for those that don't have crazy memories, like me. :)
Double blindside. Mookie has the Idol, and is allied with Alex/Edgardo. Dreamz learns that they're playing it on Alex, and has their alliance target Mookie instead. But people are worried because Dreamz is in the middle. So the other 5 all target Edgardo without letting Dreamz know, leading to a wasted Idol on Alex, and Edgardo being voted out 5-3-1. The facial reactions were amazing.

Jesus I just saw that Dawn toothless pic on the previous pages. I'm gonna need to steal one of my wife's Ambien to get me through the night.

Good winner, though I would of been happy with Dawn too.

The reunion show on the other hand was absolutely brutal. It felt like an episode of Jerry Springer. A true low for the series.

And next season's twist? Barf. :/

I'm soooo glad dawn didn't win. Before the jury I thought Gumby screwed his game by taking her. Obviously he's a smarter player than I would have been. If he took Eddie he still might have won but no way unanimously.

Good job Gumby.

I haven't watched the whole reunion show yet but judging by comments here I'm doing myself a favor.

Didn't get around to the reunion tonight but did they mention the pre-jurors at all? If it's because of Brandon, well, hopefully the Hantz' run is over. Going through the last few pages I assume Russell didn't make an appearance either?

No Hantz's at all, no pre-juror talk, hell, plenty of jurors didn't even get a word in. Really badly time managed, hardly got past the first 3 in the first half hour and then after that Rudy, Richard from his IRS prison island (S1), some crappy tweets, a random young girl and Boston Rob propping up Philip basically covered most of it. You missed Malcolm winning the fan prize and some awkward attempt at peace making between due-any-time-now Brenda and Dawn, but that's about it.

Ouch. I'd be pissed off too. Part of me hopes CBS cancels the show after watching this train wreck of a reunion.

And I can't believe Malcolm won player of the season. I guess looks are literally all that matter, because he played the game terribly.

Hooray! The player of the season wins Survivor. Really happy for Gumby, he played a fantastic game. Really entertaining season, got off to a rocky start but really improved over time.

Yeah cochran!

so glad they cut down the reunion format. no need to hear from the early contestants, no one cares about them.

and Blood vs Water? god don't tell me it means family (ie hantz)...

I think after preparing so much for the game and actually participating the least they could do is talk to each of the players. :/

I think it's fair game to talk about the next season's cast now, they haven't started filming yet so there are no real spoilers.

Here's the cast, according to the interwebs as of this afternoon:

RC (season 25) and Craig (father)
Kat (season 24) and Rob (cousin)
Laura (season 19) and Ciera (daughter)
Tina (season 2 winner) and Katie (daughter)
Monica (season 24) and Brad (husband)
Rupert (season 7,8 and 20) and Laura (wife)
Aras (season 12 winner) and Vytas (brother)
Tyson (season 18 and 20) and Rachel (girlfriend)
Rob C (season 6 and 8) and Nicole (wife)
Gervase (season 1) and a male partner (nephew?)

Rob C on his podcast had been mentioning for a week or so that he was moving and taking a break after this season for a while. But at the very end of his podcast tonight he said Nicole, his wife and potential partner for this new season, is pregnant. So now I'm confused if they're going or not. Why add another lie on top of the others he's come up with?

Blood vs Water sounds very interesting to me. Also the Hantz won't be there. Rumored cast is saying otherwise at least. Plus they wouldn't being Brandon back after this season. That would be extremely irresponsible.

I might be done with survivor reunions after that mess. They leave out the pre jury members and ignore several actual jury members so that they can interview Rudy, a guy who most have forgotten about, give Boston Rob time to promote his new book, and talk to a frightened little girl about why she likes Malcolm. Im not exactly sure what they are thinking anymore.

Man the reunion show was terrible. Dawn's apology was fake as hell, although I think it's moronic that hey made her apologize in the first place. Glad the nothing-player that is Brenda didn't win 100k, but Malcolm kinda sucked too. Gumby shoulda won it too lolz.

Man I thought the idea for next season sounded dumb until I started imagining someone possibly backstabbing a loved one.
Could make for awesome tv.

Glad Cochran won.

Yup. At the very least re-uniting with family members at merge could mean people backstabbing their previous alliance.

"I couldn't vote my wife out"
"I don't give a fuck, you back stabbed me"

Still need to watch the actual vote from tonight's finale (have seen everything up to it). Sounds like the reunion was as big a farce as usual.

ALL HAIL KING GUMBY!

Rob C (season 6 and 8) and Nicole (wife)
Gervase (season 1) and a male partner (nephew?)
These three are new to me. Prior speculation had Terry (Season 12), Stephanie V (Season 22) and Natalie (Season 16) in these spots.

I know I could sure do without seeing Rupert play the game for a 4th time. Laura didn't exactly impress me in Samoa (she was a lesser version of Vanuatu's Amy) and Monica was a complete non-entity in the Colton-dominated first act of One World (although I can see why she would be asked back to get her husband on the show). Would gladly take Natalie and Terry back over any of these 3.

Wait.... Brad Culpepper would be playing with Monica? That would make some news.

Still, only really here for Rob C./Nicole, Aras and his bro, and Monica/Brad if that ends up being the final cast list. I don't really dislike anybody else, but man... what a shitty concept for a season.

This season was kind of all over the place, but a lot of fun in the middle. There were about three tribals in a row that I just loved. Cochran was getting a bit smug for my taste by the end, but he definitely deserved to win especially among that final group so I am glad he did. Brenda at tribal looked amazing and was amazing.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Eddie in the finale. Just came off as a lovable goof. I'd be first in line for his bar/doggy day care place... haha.

Also that clip of Malcolm acting... oh my god it was terrible.

Why are these reunion shows always shit? They only talk to a few people and ignore everybody else. Yet they find time to talk to Rudy (Daww, isn't homophobia adorable!) and have Rob peddle a crappy book that nobody will ever read.

Anyway, Jon was the most deserving winner and I'm glad Dawn didn't get a single vote.

ugh. I've been a Dawn hater and Brenda lover like many of you all season, but I kind of wish she didn't follow through and make her do it. I went oh shit when Brenda offered up her challenge to Dawn and loved her for doing so, but then I did feel sympathy for Dawn after she obliged.

I agree that was kinda messed up.

And Brenda didn't even vote for her in the end. The whole forced rivalry by Jeff was cringeworthy, "DAWN LOOK AT HER AND TELL HER SHE'S RIGHT THERE!"

Crappy finale and I'm not too thrilled about S27 either, the cast sounds much better on paper than what it will most likely be in reality.

Just finished watching...

While I'm glad crazy crybaby Dawn didn't win, it's kind of fucked up that Brenda made Dawn go through with that, and then didn't even switch her vote to Dawn as a result.
That was one of the most cringe-worthy scenes in Survivor history.

Wow we wrote this at almost the same time...

Brenda: "You humiliated me, Dawn. I want you to feel humiliated now, too. You're a dog now. Bark for me. C'mon, do it. Bark for me!"

Pulling her teeth out was essentially the equivalent of Dawn getting down on all fours and barking like a dog because Brenda (and the rest of the jury, frankly) led Dawn to believe that owning her actions in the game would lead to them giving her their votes... which was never going to happen. They'd already made up their minds. It was cruel and Probst was right there pouring gasoline on the fire.

Crappy finale and I'm not too thrilled about S27 either, the cast sounds much better on paper than what it will most likely be in reality.
No cast that includes Rupert Boneham on it is ever good on paper.
