I want a Lego Halo game.

I once joked about this, but it's definitely something I would love to play.

I never changed my GAF avatar, but since you made the effort, and it goes so well with her scarf... Thanks!

I hope a new IP. And no Kinect in it.

I think Kinect is going to end up becoming standard for in-game navigation for games and so on, I don't we'll see it in gameplay for every game but I wouldn't doubt them all supporting navigating through motion and voice.

2 minute turn around. Sheesh.

It was faster than that I refreshed at about 8:51 xD.

Is your avatar from like the set of Planet of the Apes?

Nah, it's Errata Stigmata from Love and Rockets.

The more you know...

Anyway, I decided to follow the herd (but still added a little something to the one FordGTGuy made). I hope it won't look too fanboy-ish. But I like how there are different ways to read into it. ^^

Nevermind yours is better anyway. :D

I couldn't deal with it. :P

I'm glad I bought a premium photobucket account.

My predicitons:

Xbox Live Service Evolved:

Access to online multiplayer, leaderboards, group chat, group video chat, skype (+ "X" number of free minutes) Social functions, like recording gameplay/screenshots. New Profile customisation, will take a page out of Facebook and try to evolve Live as a Social platform, not just a gaming one.

I want to hope that they match PC/PSN and say Multiplayer is free. Everything else? Subscribe.

I'm not sure what they are going to bring Games-wise.

I expect a new PGR.
I figure they may do some modified Halo 4 code built into the dash (like an arcade game) that includes all maps/modes for every new console owner to play thats compatible with the 360 version. (if they DON'T do BC built in)
Something new from Epic - Fortnight? Exclusive? Maybe the Samaritan?
Alan Wake 2.
Ryse
Conker 2

I don't think games like Ryse, Alan Wake etc will be there for Launch, more like Launch Window (first 3 months)

I think the controller will be a nice ergonomic evolution of the current 360 pad. Not much more to it. I think specs will probably be spot on to what has currently been leaked. Doesn't really worry me. It's all about the games and the platform as a service. Bring it on.

I'll be in Redmond that week on the MS campus - perhaps I'll see if one of my clients can get me in to see the thing. However, not really interested in all the FPS games listed and rumored. I'm tired of FPS's. Also, Windows 8 is a huge turn off for me - cannot state how much I loathe that operating system and its derivatives.

Everyone is tight lipped after the last incident, though it worked out in MS favor - looks like they decided to pull the always online bit after the backlash. Would have been too late if that hadn't come out first at the reveal ...

That is the rumor, at at least.

I really want there to be subgroups in addition to your friends list.

For instance a "friends" list for your Forza Motorsport friends and one for your Halo friends and keep your more personal friends on your main.

They really need to do something new with Xbox Live if they want to keep justifying the pay model, something that not even the new Playstation network could do for a while.

EDIT - A family subgroup would be nice too.

That would be a great new feature. Sometimes I get invites from people with who I only play a certain game with or have played with, would be great to keep that separated.

basically 'circles' from google+ crossed with livearea from PS vita, crossed with the current XBL is what I want.

I want a real file organiser.

drives me crazy that you can't select multiple items to copy or move.

Also, no more fucking locked saves!

Forza is really bad about this but they do it to prevent people from modifying their game saves.(Not like it's stopped them.)

Doubtful. If a software engineer working on Xbox Live can't get in, I doubt they would let you in. Even if you get one of your clients to ask nicely.

Unless of course that client happens to be Steve Ballmer.

This is weird but the thing I'm most hyped for is to see how they've evolved Xbox Live services. I think they should transfer network app access and multiplayer to Silver (free) and put all other features into Gold/Platinum.

If they include an Xbox Music/Video sub with Xbox Gold I will go insane.

Batman isn't exactly a non-violent peace loving show/movie.

Nor Lord of the Rings.

You are not alone. That's probably the thing I know about (since we almost have no idea what games will be there) that I'm excited about the most. A new version of Live is always an exciting thing.

I'm sorta amazed that more people aren't talking about all the MS "cross platform" gaming that will be coming this round.

I'm on board with a lot of what others are saying (please, please, please PGR5...), but heres one I think people are missing:

1. Lionhead F2P-like game that ties in across multiple platforms: XboxNext, Windows Phone 8, Windows 8 with a tablet focus. MMO-like in that you can interact with a persistent character on any device at any time, but the activities you do are different on each device. Let's just call it "Fable world".

2. MS studios creates internal teams that only create indie-like XBLA games. One studio in the US, one in the UK, one in Japan?
