hmm... is there anyway to defeat enemies.. other than using your Personas?
I keep running out of SP... and dying at every level of the castle

P4G?

The trick is not just fight *every* battle you get. There is a 100% chance of escape if you initiate battle first, and it's real easy to score that once you'll get used to it.

Really, fighting *every* battle you're thrown into is a bad idea. Well, not unless you raise Hermit's level considerably.

Well what mode are you playing is the real question.

Easy mode is just press X to attack and win really.

Normal is a bit harder but its still just as easy.

Hard is where you need to think about who to attack with and with what tech.

Very hard is grind until you are 10 levels over.

But to answer your question just use the attack command when you run out of SP. Try to get the card shuffle after a battle and grab the restore SP card to get some back.

Comeback another day if you are low on health and SP and cannot recover them.

Unless its the last day, they you are screwed.

That damn Guacamelee glitches on me while I was having a nice run on the Caverna del Pollo arena (for the orb). Fuck that game.

---

Damn it. Is this game serious? I've reloaded my save and restarted the area and it glitches on me AGAIN.

---

Still does it on the third time...

I had that happen to me too, first couple of times i tried it the enemies wouldnt spawn when i went into a new arena/section. Luckily it worked fine after those 2 examples.

this last life of pixel level is killing me

I like the graphics <3

Whelp, looks like I'm still getting the PS Store glitch on the Vita. When I download something it gets stuck at the "Please Wait" screen -_-

I often got "can't connect to the Internet" error even though the wi-fi is fine and web browser works fine :\

Damn it, Sony, it is as if you actively hate my money. Well, not really, as it ALWAYS happens AFTER my wallet got cut and the "Preparing to Download" prompts appear.

When the wallet is cut, everything works just fine. But when the time to download comes... Nooooooooooooooooo.... >___>

Use basic attack on enemies that aren't dangerous enough to spend SP on - one heal costs just as much as an elemental nuke.

You might be a little underleveled for the dungeon level.

Yeah. Hopefully an update will fix it. I'm enjoying Sine Mora though so I'm satisfied.

okie thanks for the tips
now to try out the whole Social Links thing.
not quite used to the whole game yet

I assume you're playing P4G?

There's a vending machine in town where you can buy some TaP sodas each week. They restore a bit of SP and are quite useful early in the game.

I love Persona 4 Golden, but man aren't most of the sidequests lame... "go back to this dungeon, kill x enemy and bring back this item!"

Some of those are little tedious, but most of the side quests are completely optional. I don't think there is even a trophy for completing all of them, which I found weird.

Thank goodness for that.

Playing Persona 4 I can't help but wonder if I'd prefer the game without the Dungeon aspect altogether. Can't help but dread the next time I'm forced. Especially after revisiting the Castle only to find a boss that one-shot my entire team..

Unlike an earlier post in the topic, I do however kill every enemy I run into. But I don't die.
Is there any point in raising the stats of a Persona (the card rewards) if you're just going to fuse it later?

What I personally dislike most is that seemingly, you can only talk to certain characters if you have a corresponding Persona equipped? Eck!

You can still talk to them, but you get more S.Link points if you have a corresponding persona in your party (you don't have to have it equipped), so it's best to have one before doing an S.Link to optimize your time. If you need to, just grab the cheapest one you can get from the Velvet Room before going to an S.Link.

When I was doing dungeons I would do 4 floors each day, so I would never run out of SP. Trying to do everything at once can be hard since you will end up without mana really fast. And don't try to go back to the same dungeon after finishing it and rushing to the top floor because you will face mini-bosses there that are also hard early on.

And yeas, I rarely picked cards to raise stats for my Personas. And your persona doesnt affect the npcs you can talk to :)

I am really lost by this whole Persona thing.
I more or less pick cards to ensure I keep getting Sweep Bonuses lol.

never understood why only my Hero can switch Personas.. and the whole merge thing. :O
-this is a sign I should just spend more time in the game-

I just completed the Castle bit... think I'll probably restart.. or is that a waste of time?
thinking of playing it with a walkthrough lol

It doesn't? Maybe it just boosts the affection or something. When I talked to the sister and father it said something like "Because you have the /x/ Persona.."

I used a walkthrough and have no regrets. It was spoiler free, and I usually only referred to it to make sure I wasn't missing something important (or later on when you have to do a few things in specific order)

I could link you it if you'd like.

(P.s. I never really understood why only the MC can switch either....even the merging and skills and all that still confuses me)

If you skip battles, then how are you suppose to grind to get the required levels to fight the bosses?

The castle part was really an introduction, so game gets more interesting later.

Having appropriate persona to the SL you are involved will boost affection by 1.5
Topping the exam rank will boost the affection by 1.5, for school buddies only.
Saying "yes" outright to the SL person asking you out after school during lunch time (so that you are bound to be with the person whole after school) will boost affection by 1.2.

All of them gets stacked up so 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.2 = 2.7 is the maximum affection boost you'll get :)

a spoiler-free walkthrough would be good.
I just don't wanna miss getting those Free Understanding/Courage/Knowledge points

No idea, but to speculate: imagine the sequel as a built ground up game for the Vita. Could help Sony reel in the JPN fans.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/vita/641695-persona-4-golden/faqs/64387That is the one I used. The only spoilers are that he lists the dungeons. To avoid this, only scroll as far down as the months, then do a "CTRL+F" to jump to where you are. Enjoy!

I killed the game application, relaunched it and it worked. But heh, maybe that was luck too.

Anyways, I'm looking for the last orb (except for the final boss one) and damn that platforming with disappearing platforms is HARD AS HELL.

Most of the Npcs in the game that have a picture are Persona-related and have a SL attached to them, this includes Chie, Yukiko, Rise, Yosuke, the guys from the athletic club and, yes, Nanako.

Nanako, for example, symbolizes the Justice Personas and Yukiko the Priestess Persona. You can see that there are various Persona types when you go to the Velvet Room and check the fusion possibilities. Examples are... Justice, Tower, Juggernaut, Death, Devil, etc... not every npc and SL is avaiable at once and some of them will appear later in the game.

You can talk to every NPC even if your SL is low with them. The stronger your SL is, the Stronger personas you will be able to develop in the Velvet Room and your friends will also get stronger - they will develop special attacks, be able to take more damage and, in some cases, even open up quests AND story related stuff that will guide you to new Social Links and Npcs!

You also have the chance to upgrade your Social Links when you talk to NPCs that have the "!" mark above their heads. Sometimes your SL will upgrade (it will say "you are going to get closer to...") or its not ready yet (it will say "your relationship isnt going to advance yet...). Every time you upgrade your SL link one of your Persona types get stronger. So, if you talk to Nanako a lot, you will probably get a high level Justice-Persona rank. So, next time you Fuse personas and you try to create a Justice persona, it will have bonus XP = your Justice rank (same thing as your SL rank with Nanako). This way you will be able to develop Justice personas faster and will get stronger Justice personas when developing them, without the need to grind. You will get stronger abilities since they will level up before you even use them the first time.

I am thinking GAF that FFX vita will be the benchmark if we will ever see FF-Type 0 in the west. I will be doing me share.

How well did FF type 0 sold in japan?

EDIT: Somewhere around 800K! Wow

This, I just love this feature on 3DS and Wii.

For most games I’ve played (including Persona) I’ve been able to see playtime by hitting the ‘i’ on the right hand side of your saved game while in the loading screen and then I think you have to scroll down a little.

It’s not exact, of course, as it only counts the time played on that save file rather than a Steam style time in game count, but it’s better than nothing!

Isn't it just saying you can map the controls when playing it on Vita over PSP?

Yep, pretty sure this is just talking about the remappable controls while playing PSP games on Vita and not a Vita port of Type 0.

I think it might be time we let Type 0 go, guys. :(

thanks for the info!
(and QP3 thanks for the link!)

I hate it how when my MC dies, it's gameover

this game feels like it's so easy to miss out an entire thingum altogether if you choose the wrong convo choice

Doh! It does doesn't it.

Guess some part in me wanted to believe desperately.

With the way nintendo spoiled SE by publishing BD we can forget FF-Type 0 unless Sony ponies up!

Has anyone tried out Urban Trial Freestyle? Is it worth picking up ? Also can anyone suggest a dungeon crawler similar to Dungeon Hunter Alliance? Love those kind of games on the Vita?

Have you played the Untold Legends games?

They are PSP games but you should be able to download them from PSN. The closest thing to Diablo-esque games imo. The second one was great.

Finally got my 32gb vita card!

I got couple of friend requests from vitabros, but i was kind of inactive these months, so anyone up for Soul Sacrifice or Unit 13 or anything else?

I don't think that's the issue. It's that SE thinks Type-0 could make tons of cash in the west, but not as a PSP game. So they had to (a) decide which platform to port it to and (b) find the development resources to accomplish that in a timely manner. But then most of their available development resources fell into the FFXIV hole and they now seem to just barely be climbing out of it. What happens now... who knows?
