No more DVD cases.

Green bluray or something else smaller than DVD.
Yeah now that I think about it more just using those crappy eco cases is the best way to go. Removing game manuals was a great enough idea that works well for everyone and even promotes better game design, you could slim things down some more for the environment.

Wasn't there some hooplah about some sort of blu-ray cases not being as stackable because of the top or am I tripping?

Also, didn't people stop listening to Proelite a long time ago? I thought he was deemed uncredible or something.

Touchpad is useful for iOS type games, content creation, and UI browsing.

I hope the 720 pad has one.

While I agree (also with your later posts on this), a properly realised Kinect could do the same thing surely?
I say this as someone who didn't buy a Kinect and played like two Kinect games, I think an upgraded version of the technology still has the chance to be amazing. Mostly if it's integrated into controller games instead of Kinect only games, but also for getting about the menu.

I think Kinect has amazing value once we migrate to actual VR and the precision is amazing. Until then, I don't see it as having much use.

When are you gonna change your avatar and add the only on Xbox logo? Or are you a Sony fan?

I didn't "kazify" my avatar, probably won't "only on xbox" my avatar either. too lazy.

I wouldn't trust any Xbox news from the person that made this gem of a thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=535416&highlight= I don't care how connected they are, there's an obvious bias.

So close to 21st. Until then, all hearsay and "sources" stuff is all just BS until it can be proven or disproven.

First gen versions of everything almost always suck, especially things that have radically different technology. The biggest problem with Kinect (like the Wii) was that it was little too new for the more interesting (3rd party) developers to create for, and it just wasn't there in terms of accuracy.

The latter can be (hopefully) fixed as time goes on, but can the former? No real answer, only time will tell.

I think we look at things a little to big picture sometimes. I've been playing a lot of WRPG's recently; a few months ago I played through the second half (and finished) Fallout: New Vegas. This week I fired up Skyrim for the first time in over a year. One of the things that I immediately noticed was better was the UI and how it navigated. Using the stick completely felt a lot more intuitive than just A/B and stick to move. Placing the items squarely on the right of the screen, takeing up like 30% of the UI is another fantastic touch as well.

Things like UI navigation is what I want in new games. I don't need to swing a lead-pipe around in Fallout 4 in real-time by mimicking the motions; allow me to quickly navigate the UI with my hands (through general movements and gestures) and voice as soon as I press the pause/start button. Allow me to flip, spin and examine items as closely as I want with my hand motions as well. All optional of course, but that could help a ton with your gaming rhythem, and get you back even quicker into the action, which the menu in Skyrim does a lot better than Fallout 3/NV.

It is a bit strange that some of our only insiders haven't said a peep...

I'm looking at you, Proelite, Karak, etc. Does anyone know ANYTHING on here?

Yes, the new Xbox will have a CPU, GPU and some RAM. I can't tell you anymore. It may or may not be more powerful than rival systems, and it may or may not have hardware a generation ahead of what's already on the market. It'll play video games too, I'll give you a freebie.

There will be a new Halo game.

Most insiders went quiet a while ago, partially because the rumours slowed down and they generally commented on existing rumours rather than providing new stuff.

Well, here on GAF, a birdie PM'd me pretty much the entire details of PS4's presser in advance - Knack, Cerny, InFamous, Killzone, and Destiny.

Pretty much everything but 8 GB of GDDR5. Dude was legit.

I was hoping there would be an MS equivalent.

One out of those 2 is being coy. One of out those 2 is following StevieP's tag...:/

Whatever the reveal is... It's worth the wait for sitting on info. Real surprises in the age of Internet spoilers are more incredible.

I really don't think so. I don't use Siri at all on my iPhone and think voice control is one of the largest gimmicks out there.

It might be a gimmick but it seems so futuristic that it's a nice bullet point to have on your box that your competition might not have even though on second thought I think I read somewhere that the PS4Eye would have voice/facial recognition.

I KNOW Infinity isn't going to be the most powerful system, but I sorta hope it is just because of how much of a mess that's going to stir up on here.

EDIT: I didn't mean I literally know.

I can not speak on this. They're monitoring this thread

Do you actually know, or are you just guessing? I hope it's as powerful as possible, while being priced competitively. I want a beefy box. I want the same feeling I got from the Sony conference. I yearn for power, and I'm also starting to get pulled in by Kinect, especially after I watched that Skyrim video someone above me posted.

Nope.

Sorry, I'm new to posting on a forum where there's actually a chance in hell someone would have insider info.

Do you have Chrome on your computer? If so, go to google.com and click on the microphone. Then be amazed at how great voice controls/commands/searches/dictation is. If Siri is all you've used, you're most definitely not going to think voice is all that great. Siri is garbage in comparison.
