Besides, EU is the largest market iirc for FIFA and PS is the system to go to for it in such a region.

I said it before, differences will be framerate/resolution or some effects, but it is not like Wii-PS360, it will be more like PS2-GC or even GC-Xbox*.

PS4 is not "2x" stronger, and, for a notable difference they need a "3x"*.

Strange that this event is being held in a tent.

I wonder how the stage set up will look.. can't imagine there's much room for anything extravagant in there.

It's a phenomenon. I ran into an elderly women at Target this morning who was wearing an Only On Xbox t-shirt. I asked her why she was wearing it and she counted the number of items in my cart and insisted I go into the line that wasn't 10 items or less. I hate old people.
 
Only 200 people in the entire world get to go to the Xbox Reveal. Bet they feel lucky.

There must be some surprises. Otherwise MS wouldn't be hosting the event on their own turf to prevent leaks.

We saw a video of it. It's one of the biggest tents in North America. There's no room for Kinect Reveal BS, but there's enough to fit an event like Sony just did easily.
 
1 week left. Dam we came far, it was a very long time back in April and when we didn't know a date. This week will be easier to bare with podcast and thought from various websites.

Hardware is only one piece of the puzzle

The entire platform comes together with software

Look at xbox 360, look at the specs diagram and then try to explain the features with the leaks we had before hand... Impossible

Even when they were explaining it on stage (velocity girl) they couldn't get across the leap it would be

I didn't know this was true? If it is my bad but do you happen to have any data?

Even if the 360 has a slight edge in the UK, EU is where its at and PS has greater association to the brand than Xbox there by far.

Those were the dog days. Having no date was awful because you really had nothing to be hyped for. Like I said with a controller, you know there's going to be one, and it's probably not going to be that different, but when you see a new console's controller...it just kind of puts a face to it and gets you excited.

Sorry right. I wasn't saying that. I was saying a spec versus spec discussion which would include rumours. Most of the other forums are doing just that. I agree about specs and rumors but it would remove the discussion and give those who WANT to debate those rumors a place to do it and leave those who want to discuss their single system, games, and services their own threads.
For some reason it just seems MUCH cleaner that way as history has proven the same thing happens in all these threads. Start>bump in posts>buzzkill>gifs>back and forth bitching until its done.

That's a bit dismissive, isn't it?

Whilst all gamers should pay passing interest to the Xbox division's financial wellbeing a future where that's delivered via paid for exclusives/content isn't particularly appealing, (at least IMO).

Durango/Infinity/Kinect exclusive features are great but Durango/Infinity/Kinect exclusives not so much. Maybe I'm unrealistic but I want first party exclusives (and some folk are rightly tooting the horn of MS' efforts here), that differentiate a console from its competitors via a different channel than the regular churn of sports franchises or CoD (something "we" often bemoan).

When I said surprises, I would talking purely about software, which is where I expect surprises. I honestly don't care about specs, I'm far more interested in the games and the OS/UI that will be running on this thing

FIFA 13 on Xbox 360 has been above PS3 on the UK PAL Charts since launch. Just check out the PAL Charts threads.
