It's inevitable---for a number of reasons, though there are still a couple of options if you're looking for something no so pandering. Kreia who've I already seen mentioned (and is in the post above this one) is definitely one. Miang Hawwa is another (who is a personal favorite of mine).

Daniella from Haunting Ground was pretty bizarre/scary.
Haven't gotten around to picking it up/playing it yet... these past few months have been really stressful for me as I hunt for a new job (I didn't get hired by Kongsberg whom I mentioned to you about going on the interview, but did find something else!). MGR is definitely something that would appeal to me so it's only a matter of time...

Ehhhhhh........ not really. IIRC she is willing to do anything not for a "cause" but for a guy who doesn't even recognize her... That's not 'strong', it's just being called being stubbornly stupid and sad.
Also, I would say Jenova but... technically 'she' is not even a 'female' or a 'human', yeah? Hmmm.

Mistral was ice cold towards Wolf at the end of the DLC.
Everything that comes out of her mouth is just cringe worthy though. Couldn't Platinum get someone who actually spoke french to write her lines?

Agreed. I hate that Capcom thought that was a good idea to change her in the US so they wouldn't bring up the concept of men beating on women. To this day, most people don't know this backstory and knowing that Capcom basically lied to bring her to the US market still solidify her as a femalepff, dont give me that. Poison is a she!
