Hmm I guess a bunch of sources are saying Malcolm isn't dead.
What kind of sources?
But man, what an ending that was! The heroes... failed. Villain succeeded. He blew up half the Glades. So many potential directions for Season 2 to go in.
Thanks for that, the UK is a week behind America.Damn....ballsy finale. Making Malcom live while Tommy dies. Not going the cliche Osborn route? Actually destroying half of the glades?
So damn good.
I just wish it was Laurel who died instead of Tommy
Also...we need the soundtrack... Malcom's theme is so awesome.
Its a little much at times but I still like that we get it. its not something we would get much in a cartoon, comic or movie.Hey man, if we're keeping score here the heroes only half failed! I imagine if both of the devices went off the damage would have been insane, probably spilled out past the glades a bit. Oddly enough I figured there would be 2 devices in the end simply because based on how big that city is shown to be it seemed like it would make more sense to have one on each side.
Thought the season was pretty awesome overall, I'm not a comic book guy or anything so I am not approaching it from that angle, but I enjoyed what I saw. I think looking back at all the episodes I only have 2 complaints really. The first one being with Diggle, I think he's a cool character but he literally did jack shit the entire season, I am not sure if he is a character from the comic series or anything but I never felt like he had a purpose through the season, even in the "final fight" where they team up to take Malcolm on together all he really did was miss like 3 shots, throw about 3 punches, and then got stabbed. That pretty much sums up his relevance through the entire season imo.
Other thing is just how much bs romance crap is in the show. I am not openly against romantic subplots or anything (I will go as far as to say I am a softy for it when done correctly) but ohhhh myyyyy goddddd it's all so forced in this show. The only genuine relationship all season was Tommy and Laurel which I thought was really good but everything else just felt like it existed to cross off some checklist somewhere on trying to reach some tween female demographic or something, blech. I can't blame them for having it but it's annoying how much time gets wasted on it.
I was thinking this was what was going to happen. As soon as it was revealed there was a backup Earthquake machine I thought something would happen that would expose people in the Glades and give them superpowers somehow with Laurel finally becoming Black Canary. Pleasantly surprised they didn't go that direction though. I don't really think this show needs to go that route quite yet.
Not even budget-wise. More like...I'm more accustomed to CW being 90210, Gossip Girl, etc. I know Supernatural is CW too, but I always associate the channel with the terrible teen girl shows. Haha.
Laurel was so fucking useless this episode. I hope Tommy's death does us all a favor and puts a kibosh on that relationship cause now we have the shadows of Tommy and Sarah's deaths overlooking this relationship. It's ridiculous.
I'm glad Tommy went out the way he did, the only other route for him was Harry Osbourne,
.....
I don't buy the theories that Barrowman and Tommy will somehow live. Barrowman clearly died in front of Ollie before telling him about the second bomb,
Tommy still alive theories? Yeah that's stupid. But Malcom should still be alive. By the time Oliver told Tommy he didn't kill his dad, they were both suffering from the same injury. If he dies, it would be post-finale.I don't buy the theories that Barrowman and Tommy will somehow live. Barrowman clearly died in front of Ollie before telling him about the second bomb, and Ollie would never let him live. He has no remorse, he's going to kill the people on the list, and he's going to make sure a psychopath that blew up half the city and nearly killed him twice will never see the light of day again. He just straight up lied to Tommy to ease his suffering I guess. And Tommy is clearly dead, I don't see how anyone can think he's coming back, he got crushed and stabbed right through the fucking heart, he's gone.
Pretty sure it is. Only big change is an added scallop on the emblem and they covered the bottom part of the breasts.Nah, definitely not the same costume, that looks like a leather underpiece with a onesie corset over it.
Tommy asked him if he killed his dad and he said no
Thanks for that, the UK is a week behind America.
Calm yourself dude. It's never going that way at all.
This is Nolan Verse Green Arrow we are being given.
Barrowman is alive. Ollie stabbed himself to stab Barrowman and Ollie lived. The only thing that makes Barrowman living ambiguous is that the arrow only pierced Ollie's midsection while it was angled upward near Merlyn's heart.
Its a little much at times but I still like that we get it. its not something we would get much in a cartoon, comic or movie.
If it would hit him in the heart he would die instantly, instead of talking few sentences before collapsingTo all the people thinking Malcolm is alive and:
That was clearly just a lie so Tommy could die easier. Malcolm is clearly stabbed through the heart. I guess they did it in a way where they could bullshit bringing him back but to me it seems his death was intended based on just this episode. Not that I wouldn't mind him back as Barrowman is great, I just really think the dude is a goner.
Why are you in this topic the day it premieres then? Moreover, why single out that one post when pretty much every post is saying the same thing, many in more detail?
I hope you're right, this show doesn't need superpowers. Just with them seemingly setting up Laurel to be Black Canary it seems sort of inevitable. I am happy with them never introducing them though if they go that route.
I don't know how you can say this definitively. It piercing Ollie's midsection and Merlyn's heart is exactly how I interpreted it also. That isn't the same injury. An arrow in the heart = dead.
If it would hit him in the heart he would die instantly, instead of talking few sentences before collapsing
Still manu is a regular next season hopefully we get Deathstroke rolling in Sterling City not just confined to more Island flashbacks
Thanks for that, the UK is a week behind America.
I don't mind it, I am all for more romantic plots if they want to use them, I just want it to be believable. Literally every scene with Roy and Thea was terrible, and I actually don't have a problem with either of those characters outside of when they are together. Thea just seemed like a tool to get Roy involved with the main plot somehow but nothing about their relationship felt real.
And Oliver + every girl except Helena was pretty terrible too, though, not as bad as Roy and Thea. It actually bothered me a little how they would seemingly throw a love interest at Oliver only to remove her a few episodes later with a new replacement.
I don't think this is what's going to happen. Ollie was on that island for 5 years. Do we have any idea of the passing of time so far? It can't have been more than a year.
Did someone say Moira prison fanfic? You can all bet it's coming.
Thea " don't text and drive brah. It can wait!" Hahaha still want to see her in a Speedy outfit.
He's been there for 2-3 inches of hair growth. When he finally gets rescued he has a full beard and long hair. Basically all we have to base island time on is beard time.
They are inconsistent with their beard time![]()
Maybe he can't grow hair on his head and face at the same time. So next season in the flashbacks his hair will stop growing while his beard catches up. Or maybe Slade shaves his face for him.
It was the first CW show to be renewed this year (together with Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries) so The CW has a lot of confidence in the show. And honestly they should, it is in their top 3 and their first hit debut since they launched The Vampire Diaries.Loved the finale, badass! This is getting a second season, right?
The second moment of glory belongs to hurricane Thea. She provides the one moment of hilarity in this episode. She watches her mother confess to being an accomplice to multiple murders, being part of a conspiracy to commit thousands more murders, and doing all this under the threat of family annihilation. She watches her mother get arrested. Her mother comes up to her and says, "I love you." And Thea says, "I love Roy!" Moira's confused delivery of "Roy?" is a delight. Thea then yells that Roy is in the Glades, and as Moira helplessly screams after her not to go to the Glades, she goes stomping off to the Glades. Into an evacuation zone. With no practical skills of any kind. For a boyfriend with a functional pair of legs and an ability to steal cars. To summarize my reaction to this, I have to turn to Tai from Clueless. What, exactly, are you going to do, Thea?

Oh God. Don't let Lannister find out.
I hate to break this to you but they are going to hammer us to death with "we can't be together" romantic plot. I would be happy if Felicity or Shadoo quickly put an end to that tripe.

Tommy: punch
