why is laurel's dumb ass still in the glades? oh god this Roy stuff is insufferably lame.

sn: maybe it's just me, but the show never made a good case for why The Glades should be saved, other than the fact that you just shouldnt kill a lot of people.

oh shit merlyn won?

edit: how'd you guys see this early?

It's on in Canada at 6pm EST.

And yea, laurel + thea were total idiots this episodes.

well only half the glades is down and laurel the dumbass trying to save files.. bleh
Doesn't she know? The files are IN the computer.

I was honestly refreshed that it went down the way it did. I was pretty sure he was "safe" considering what we thought was going to happen next season.

Tommy :(

The whole time I thought it would be Diggle, which would have also sucked.

Great episode though. Cannot wait for the next season.

I imagine Ollie will be sending more time in the Glades next season. Crime is bound to skyrocket there now.

can't get rid of the only black guy in the main cast. well they could, but i didn't expect them to.

I say Team Arrow is safe for at least two more seasons. Outside of them, Laural, and Roy, no one is safe.

God damn Ollie crying over tommy was hard to watch, was sure laurel would bite it.

And since slurry survived, maybe she'll become Artemis?

Thea's middle is Dearden which is a reference to the second Speedy, Mia Dearden. So maybe her and Roy will both become Speedy?

Maybe. Roy will definitely become a sidekick but who knows what they're going to do with Thea. Her nickname and impeccable aim would point to her becoming "Speedy" but would they really want three vigilantes (four whenever Laurel suits up)?

overall good episode. lol at throwing every movie cliche in this one and some bad acting, but overall I liked it. something tells me this is not the last time we are seeing of Tommy.

True, I guess Green Arrow, Speedy, Artemis and maybe Black Canary (Laurel) would be overkill

Huh, this I didn't know, maybe Roy will be Red Arrow then? Don't think Arsenal would really fit him

i'd much rather they contrive it so Malcolm somehow lived than Tommy. Malcolm is my favorite character.

im surprised they made it through the season w/o Thea finding out about Ollie/Arrow.

Would be proud. (you can swap Terry for Catwoman pre new52)

I hope he will be like YJ Red Arrow, that actually got me into the character.

Thinking about it, they could stretch it out over a couple seasons to keep let us get accumulated. For example,

Next season, Roy finally finds the Hood and discovers his identity. Ollie agrees to train him because he sees something in him/Roy threatens to tell Thea/whatever.

Season 3 starts with Roy as Red Arrow. Shit doesn't work out after while. Roy has a falling out with both Queens. Ends with him running off (maybe with Cheshire). Thea finds out about the Hood(s0.

Season 4, Thea strikes out on her own as Speedy, working alongside Huntress and Laurel (Birds of Prey, son). Ollie finds out and tries to stop them. Fails. Roy eventually returns as Arsenal with Cheshire and baby Lian in tow.

Something like this would pace everything out nicely. The only thing that may make it overkill is how many other heroes guest star in the show. Also, at some point, every starts using their proper hero names. :p

Would be proud.
The Bat Family is so awesome.

Fantastic episode but it was hilarious how some people arrived at the right time and place. I was a little annoyed at Laurel when she was running around trying to save those "very important" files but she took it at a whole new level when she stayed at the office after Mr. Chesthair told her not to. In fact, everything that happened in that office was hilariously awful.

yeah it's her fault that tommy died. i expect her to feel guilty about it next season. because she should.

the best scene was when ollie shot that twat on the island in the neck with an arrow. and then the theme song plays. it was like the birth of green arrow right there.

and mama and papa badass look approvingly at their son.

edit: loved malcolm merlyn in this one. he had a total willem dafoe green goblin moment when he was yelling at his son.

This episode was really good. John Barrowman really brought it with that yelling scene. He so clearly outclasses the other actors. Still though, some surprising stuff. Ollie's crying over Tommy was even surprisingly better than I would have expected. Really interesting place to leave things for Season 2.

The wait is going to suck.

yeah man i expected amell to flop so hard in that crying scene but he did good.

laurel's so stupid. christ. even thea has much more common sense these days.

Thea did come across kinda selfish when she yelled at Roy for wanting to save people, but I guess I can't hold it against her too much.

Laurel tho? Come on man. Her homegirl got out just fine too. smh

I was thinking Laurel's throat or something would end up being crushed to set her up for her Black Canary powers.

I doubt Tommy's dead though.

Pretty excellent season ender. Did not see that outcome with Tommy, not even a little. I thought for sure they'd go the Harry Osborne route.

And did Ollie stick Malcolm with the arrow thru himself, or did he reach around himself and get Malcolm in his side? I initailly thought he stabbed through his own chest to stab Malcolm, but it didn't seem like he had any injury for the remainder of the show.

All in all, it was a pretty good first season and I'll definitely be awaiting Season 2.

So can the first scene of season two be a stray rock smacking Laurel in the head and her dying? Just let her hot black lawyer friend be the new love interest.

I'm more convinced than ever that the writers actually hate her (and possibly her actress) and want us to hate her as well. That whole office part was so bad.

But besides that, pretty good finale. The heroes lost. Roy actually did a cool flip to make up for his last one. Tommy dying was surprising. If he didn't die, that's a lame as shit cliffhanger. And that don't text and drive part was hilarious.

edit: Spoilers if you're sensitive to that stuff.

Yes, Ollie stabbed through his own chest. Or at least, that is what it appeared to be to me. You can visibly see a red circle of blood on the front of his costume where the arrow pierced (looks to be near his heart tbh). He was also acting visibly weakened after that. I am not sure how he got on a motorcycle and got over to Tommy, but you know, whatever.

Maybe I'm wrong but that is what it looked like to me.

Plot-induced Fast Travel.
I didn't even know there was fucking motorcycle there.

Yeah, he's definitely dead. CW brings people back on SN and TVD but they're definitely not afraid to outright axe/get rid of characters. Even popular/main ones. They'll usually telegraph if they're coming back too (off screen death, mysterious circumstances etc).

Still don't get the Laurel hate but I never got it for huntress either.
