E3 2009 had 358/2 Days, FFXIV, FFXIII, and Dissidia. That was fine IMO.
I don't buy Eidios not being the focus this time. They've been working on games for sometime now and I think they'll be out by next Christmas. Deus Ex, Thief, Eidios Montreals Hitman game, plus Crystals Dynamics new IP. Id rather these games shown as they're likely to be released.
Edit. Not to mention they would have more of an impact then another CG trailer from Square.

That was a good E3 though... the reaction to FFXIV when the words "Online" hit by people (myself included) was fantastic.

As long as they're working on something without Lightning in it I'll be happy. Happier anyway. I can barely remember the last thing SE put out that I was genuinely hyped for.
IMO they need to be showing gameplay for thier Japanese software. I just think CG trailers for Vs XIII or FF 15 won't do them any favours after FF XIII.
Based on what's being said, it's both everything we've been asking for but real surprises.

Even a CG trailer for next gen FF would generate way more buzz than another round of current gen Eidos stuff.

I think it's pretty obvious FFX|X-2 HD will be there and most likely playable if it's coming out this year.

I don't know why I had this perception it was Vita exclusive. That's where I'll be playing it, though, maybe that's why.

For those trying to guess what's likely to be playable at the booth, just think about it for a second - it's pretty obvioust:
KH HD has already been playable to members of the public/community at the London office for a community day
FF14 is approaching open beta
Lightning Returns will be releasing within months of E3
FFX HD seems like it'll be out at some point this year, and media is being released, so is definitely in a presentable state
Deus Ex: HR Wii U has been playable at PAX and a small UK show
Plus Square always, always, always have a mobile area of their booth, and that's grown in size every year really - I imagine it'll get even more so this year.
This is just extrapolating off what we already know. The question is if they'll have anything out-and-out new, I suppose.

Ah, no, I'm thinking of KH HD, that's September. I don't know anything, no. That is this year though, right? Either way, point stands... they're releasing media and such, which means it is in a presentable state.

Any big new SE game announcements will be held at Sony/MS conference and not at their booth (and they don't have a conference of their own), so the lineup there doesn't really suggest anything.

My personal expectation is for all the titles we already know about to be there in a playable form with a few exceptions (can't see Thief being playable unless it's closed-doors, for instance) and then one or two announcements that'll appear but only in trailer form. I mean, we already know Square is going to reveal a PS4 FF at E3, so that stuff's a given. I'd be very surprised - even if it was Versus - if they announced such a game and then had it playable right away, though. I'd go as far as to say that'll never happen.
