PlayStation Mobile Thread of Indie Games, and Apps on Android/Vita

Tileogo is now "preparing for release" so hopefully will be out in the next couple of weeks. I'm afraid it won't be able to beat VitaBounce's musical accomplishments, but hopefully people will enjoy playing it!

Rymdkapsel looks very nice, I might pick that up. It seems like quite a good update this week.

VitaBounce! is actually made by one of my friends; it's an enhanced port of Bounce! on XBLIG (and Bounce! GOTY on Windows). Good to see it being 'praised' :P

Anyway, the death sound gets me every time. It's a masterpiece. BUUUHHH!

I have a "special thanks" credit in Nunnageddon which is pretty cool. And the "C.J" 2nd on the leaderboard is me too. Wahey!

It's a pretty cool feeling, haha.

Does the PSM store update on Tuesday for the US? Tileogo is "Preparing For Release" so there's a chance it will be out tomorrow in some regions in that case (although it's only been around a week since it was accepted, so I'd expect it to be next week instead?)

So what's out there for good development on this platform? I'm still waiting on Unity...

At the moment the only option is the PSM SDK from https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/index.html#top although there is Monogame support in development (I don't know anything about that though).

It's two weeks usually. But the official word by mods is 5-10 business days so it could be early.

thanks, I'll just wait on Unity for the time being :P

Posting here to declare my love for Life of Pixel. Bought it not expecting much out of it and before I knew it I was hooked and humming most songs from the soundtrack. I wholeheartedly recommend it if you like Super Meat Boy style platformers and have €2 to spare. :)

Tileogo's first few days worth of sales aren't exactly setting any records, but at least some people are buying it every day so far! Hopefully sales won't just drop to zero after the first week. The ability to give out download codes would be really handy to get some attention, they are apparently looking to "see the overall demand and act accordingly" on the idea of obtaining codes. There is a suggestion here that developers on the forum can vote on.

Nice to see Tileogo out, Bills :) will check it out.
Thanks, let me know what you think of it!

Nostatic Soft's map app, MapCache just got approved on PlayStation Mobile.

There seems to be a lot more non-game apps appearing all of a sudden, finally Beats Trellis isn't all alone in the app section.

------------------------------
EDIT: Sorry if this is public knowledge already, but I was browsing the dev forums and found this thread, which states that the star ratings on apps are specific to each country, so trying to judge sales even loosely on the number of ratings will give unreliable results for games with high sales in one region, or if the person estimating is in a country with low sale numbers.

Wow, Super Brain Eat 3 is terrific and a steal at 40p (around 30 cents?). I enjoyed this guy's (Thomas Hopper) Out of Mind and didn't think SBE3 could top it, now I'm debating which one is better. He also released 2 free updates for the game that triples the value of the game with modes that focus more on puzzles and teleportation. I urge everyone to give Super Brain Eat 3 a try. Super Skull Smash Go is not bad either, the gameplay is good but you can tell it's not as good as the other games he made when it comes to experience and production values. King Bean looks like fun, I'm becoming fan of this guy. It would be awesome if he keeps making PSM games.

Quite Please! was a very interesting experience. Really cool what they did with it, even if it's a short game. Fuel Tiracas also surpised the hell out of me. It's pretty good, especially for 40p. Does the game support online leaderboards? I could have sworn Carl's name was there :D Oh and Nanageddon is also mindless fun. Cosmic Clean-up seems weird and interesting but the controls need getting used to. I still need to play that more to get a better idea of how good it is. Yes, I went on a crazy PSM buying frenzy today (6 games bought).

Still no info on the Yu-Nama "Badman" game....I hope it's something different then the PSP games, already have those.

It is the first PSP game, that is it.

Nice to see passing time out finally! Any impressions?

How is Yu-Man the game the same as the first Badman game? This one looks like a puzzle game while the original series was an Eco system game...? Also any impressions of this release? Big fan of the series

They streamlined the first game for casuals.

I feel kinda goofy. I went through The first stage in Yu Nama, after beating Tutorial 1 and 2, and felt like I was doing good, but having a hard time positioning spawned pieces, after breaking blocks with a tap...

Then I go through the 3rd Tutorial, nad find out... YOU CAN SLIDE PICES INTO EMPTY SPACES! Yay, it's similiar to Tetris Attack and Poker Smash in this way, except Touch Controls are actually much nicer for this, in all reality, than even a D-Pad.

With that little Discovery, I blazed through the first 2 stages, and got to the 3rd, where new music and minion art await me, as well as new heroes.

What a refined, polished little game. And charming! I always dislike how many small games totally forget any characterization / personality with the objects in their games, so this really feels like a nice treat.

If feels less janky, and more nuanced than something like "Loot the Land" did, and that games difficulty shift was pretty meh to me by game's end; It started out fun, but the reliance on purchasing items and tools for stage use over-cluttered the game, and the later boards to battle on seemed too jumbled.

I hope not to have any issues with this game in that way; it's core gameplay seems much more sound, so I'm lookin' forward to seeing those later stages...

Yea I didn't know about sliding until later today too. It makes the game far deeper than I thought. You can really plan out better and get huge combos.

Truly! The fall patterns before felt kinda Random, but with sliding, it becomes strategic.

Up to Stage 7 now, and went through all 6 tutorials. These fights have seriously become hard; So many hero-spawn junk blocks on screen! However, if you can get and maintain a chain really well, you can nearly insta-kill heroes upon their spawn. Nutrient-Blocks are a great idea, and planning what's around them before popping one, can lead to crazy devastation.

Enjoying this game even more than expected.

(In eu and japan at least)There's a dungeon crawler too, i don't remember the name.

It was on there before, at least in the UK store, but I did notice that it's the latest release which is odd. The same happened with Out of Mind before.
