Exclusives are the only thing that could sway me away from the PS4 at this point, and I'm sure that's true for a lot of people. I wouldn't be surprised if MS has some amazing stuff waiting in the wings.

I wonder if League of Legends would blow up on the next Xbox like Minecraft did for the 360?
That would be fucking huge.

Don't think so because I don't see any MOBA games striking a cord with most modern console gamers. Again, all PERSONAL OPINION.

The LOTR RTS wasn't the same exact same type of game but it has its parallels and it was a great early entrant in the 360's lineup. Still didn't see it light the charts on fire though and that has an established IP behind it.

Just finished 3 hour session with PGR4.This game is so amazing and in right conditions (90% of the time) it still looks gorgeous. Some slow motorbikes on Ring with overcast = amazing.
If there is no PGR5 I will burn the tent :[

It absolutely has the potential to. I think it would depend mostly on how well they transfer the control scheme. And of course, make it free to play.

Though, I also hope there's a next-gen Minecraft. If they made that a launch game, that would be awesome and I could see that helping them out.

Guardians of Middle Earth isn't the best metric to judge by. It's art style was meh, gameplay balance was questionable, but most damning was the netcode was just garbage. You are able to actually play to completion probably 30-40% of the games you start if you're lucky (it's P2P with no host migration, you constantly get the "Waiting for input from XYZ..."). I still think a well made MOBA could really blow up on a console.

You're probably right, but I would have likely said the same thing about Minecraft.

Exactly. Overcome the controls barrier, and it will be wildly popular. I have zero doubt. Especially if Durango has built-in streaming.

the way League would blow up if you are able to stream straight from the console.
Exactly!

I feel different about Minecraft because it was so popular beforehand with all gamers it seemed. Once those first vids broke of people's amazing creations, all I remember reading were people hoping for a console version. I don't see the same with a MOBA but hey, if it works I will gladly jump onboard ever since I tried the LOTR MOBA on the PS3.

WTF...I am on the West Coast and just checked the listing on Spike TV on my Cable and they are not showing the Presentation until 1pm PST, which would be the Eastern Time, but the show is scheduled for 10AM PST! WTF Spike TV????

Here is a video I made today. A retrospective of the 360 from 2006-2013. It's missing a lot of games due to the length but a short amount of time to devote to it. Thought it may be nice to look back on the platform before the new one is announced on Tuesday. Hype train and all that jazz...

*Apologies as it isn't in HD even though the file has been encoded as such. I'll try to upload in full HD later this weekend.

That was pretty awesome. Good job!

I was talking about the RTS Battle for Middle Earth released during the first years of the 360 but the LOTR MOBA is a more on point example. I don't see something like LoL lighting the charts on fire and pushing consoles, but I'm sure I could easily be proven wrong if it's done right.

If you can't tell the mods are just joking about some of the stupid posts, then you're too invested in a console "winning" anything.

And people shouldn't get banned just because they have bad or differing opinions. Geez.

Yet sometimes they do. Depending on what dev or console maker their unpopular opinion is aimed at.

picked it up again this week having never played it properly first time and also enjoying it... yea can not imagine the glory of a PGR5

Isn't it obvious? It's for having fun and celebrating this moment that happens so few times!

Plus, anyone can be a part of it.

The problem with the "Only on Xbox" avatars is they feel a lot more like an advertisement than something as obscure as kazified avatars. They also aren't near as clever, IMO.

They arnt, and they don't need to be. It's not a competition.

I feel like we've been saying that for every E3 since 2006...

I'll believe it when I see it.

MS had plenty of amazing E3's between 05 and 10.

09 had L4D2, Halo Reach, Forza 3, Halo 3 ODST, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell and Mass Effect 2 which were all exclusive at the time.

Yeah, us West coasters always get the shaft when it comes to this live stuff...most of the E3 pressers have been delayed the last few years through them and G4 (RIP)...I guess Internet it is! And hopefully the streams keep up...

I am going to use Xbox Live to watch it then. It really sucks because on Gametrailers they advertise it as live on Spike at 10am PST/1pm EST, but both the cable listing and on Spikes own website it lists the show at 1pm PST.

I just hope the Xbox Live stream is good...I am concerned that there will be a shit-ton of people on Live watching this thing.

There's always a few people who get so oddly annoyed over avatar trends. I always think they're cool, even when they're for games / events I don't care about. Let the hype flowwww

I think both are weird as are the gifs, but the PS4 fans were more original. Durango fans seem to just be copying the PS4 fans hypetrain with very little deviation.

It's hard to be perceived as original so soon after. Whatever fans did with their avatars would be seen as unoriginal.

The Xbox event is live to BOTH COASTS in the US, 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT. If your cable guide says it's at 1 PM it's likely in error, so I'd also record the 10 AM hour.

Let me know which cable company you are on if it lists 1 PM west coast time.

Geoff you need an Only on Xbox avatar!!!

I don't know about you but I am trying to find a new way to clap. Because apparently people have clapped before me. Don't want to do it the same way:)

Yeah I was about to post talking about '09. '07 had nothing, '08 had FFXIII, '10-'12 was Kinect driven.

I don't want to wait every 3-4 years to get continuous, consistent core game exclusive and surprise announcements that are worth discussing.
