Kagari, any rumors on a next Xbox version of FFXIV? I know SE wanted to do a 360 version but Microsoft wouldn't allow them but maybe something can happen for a new console.

Haven't heard anything on that end. I guess it's all up to MS if they decide to change their policies or not. The main thing there being cross platform play, which is something they were against for PS3/360.

It definitely would, but I doubt it will happen. Only Sony and indies support that. All I'm hoping for with these titles is cross-save so I can justify buying both versions (which I will buy)

I'm also very curious as to what approach they take for the pricing of the Vita versions. They have to provide value to those not getting the PS3 one, but I don't see them charging less than $29 for each. Perhaps an included DD? No idea really.

Didn't Type-0 had two umd discs? How much expensive was the game as compared to a regular psp game. We can expect the same pricing for the vita version of FFX

That might be the case IF they release them in one package. I don't think that will be the case though.

Quoting myself from another thread because lazy:

Here is what I think: Since Vita games cost more to manufacture (due to the cost of the Vita cards), releasing both in one package would almost force them to a) Price it the same as the PS3 release and not earn as much per sale or b) Price it higher to earn the same per sale but at the same time getting a lot of negative reactions from the market for "overpricing" the Vita version and losing a lot of sales as a consequence.

On the other hand: c) selling them separately at about, let's say, $30 each, allows them earn on each sale and also gives a choice to consumers who only want to play either X or X-2, since buying only one would still cost less than getting the full PS3 version.

Scenario a: SE loses.
Scenario b: All Vita customers lose.
Scenario c: Only those who plan to buy BOTH games on Vita lose (my case).

It makes too much sense. Why would they scrap all the work they have done on it and create a new FF from scratch? Whether it is FF versus or now FFXV, it has to turn up at E3. Otherwise, it has definitely been cancelled (or ported to smartphones)

I doubt they're gonna list Versus even if it's part of the show, so most likely the titles that should be on that list are already announced titles.
Or is it common practice to tease these lineups ?

I think it's because the user who types this stuff up is trying to appeal to their core demographic if you know what I mean.

LoK saga ended beautifully.

it's a completed story that don't really need a sequel, prequel, remake or reboot by some random inferior studio and inferior writers, it's a masterpiece series that don't need SE modern IP ruining.

The series ended on a cliffhanger with Kain ready to face the old god. Is like missing the last book of A Song of Ice and Fire.

Not that I have confidence the actual Eidos can do a proper sequel...

Too much grinding. I beat DQ IX, played a couple more hours realized how much grinding was needed to do anything in the post-game. I dropped it shortly.

DQ VIII it was a great single player adventure and no grinding was needed save maybe a bit for the post game, but not close to a gargantuan amount like DQ IX.

I'll hope for Type 0 regardless of the fact I don't realistically expect to see it.

For handhelds I'd just expect mobile stuff.

It's just gonna be stuff we already know about and if anything they'll show off their "new game" with a CG trailer and I guess sucker whatever group of people. Painting a pretty picture isn't going to do much for me however.

Doubtful. Square usually announces their japanese projects at TGS and Square's western studios won't touch the 3DS or Vita. The only chance of a new portable title being announced would be if Sony unveiled one for the Vita at their conference.
