Seems like the studio that made A4O and Q-Force is likely making a game to tie in to the film in 2015. Here's hoping it's a traditional one...

It would amuse me if the FUSE team is working on the MS game, and the team comprised of a decent chunk of R&C veterans is working on the Sony game.

To be honest even if the Nextbox is more powerful than the PS4, Sony's party games will still look better. Power isn't everything, Having a dev team that can take advantage of that power is what's important and we all know Sony's first party are some of the best in the industry.

What I'm most concerned about is Sony's online community, They really need to focus on building that. PSN just seems so lifeless when compared to Steam and Xbox Live. I really hope they get it right this time around.

I dunno, I think there is a spec bump especially if the console costs 499. I fully expect PS4 to be cheaper and I doubt Kinect 2 would be THAT expensive to make or MS being that desperate to make profit right from the start.

Not only that but LoL community is one of the most aggressive/unfriendly communities out there just try playing a game and make one mistake you'll never hear the end of it.

Geenral rule, don't play ranked, you'll hear ALOT less bitching if you don't. Or alternatively play DOTA2. Their low ranking community is just as lost as you and they really don't give too many fucks. Unless your intention is to learn and get better...then you'll probably be pissed.

It would be hilarious if Riot actually has a team working on League for console whilst we still have to put up with weekly server problems and the disastrously outdated PC client.

Isn't the PS4 GPU supposed/rumoured to be AMD anyway? I've no doubt that AMD would be more than happy to work with Sony to make something more powerful than whatever MS uses.

All rumors point to yes, I wouldn't go touting the horns just yet. I'm not going to say the stupid idea that MS went back and made their system more powerful after they saw Sony's press conference. As I stated in the Durango thread, only dolts who have absolutely no understanding of engineering and manufacturing and are basically wikipedia/beyond3D quote grabbing programmers suggest something like that. However I will say there is/was nothing stopping MS from going in a different direction with their hardware back towards the end of 2011 entering 2012 opposite from the leaks that presented themselves. I'd say keep expectation tempered, but who knows.

I lost a lot of faith in their Burbank studio when they took a genuinely interesting art style and turned it in to something bland and uninteresting. Extremely worrying if that's what Insomniac thinks they need to do to their games to sell to a wider audience.

Don't bother with MOBA at all if you can't take the aggressive/unfriendly community. Sadly I'm one of them for the past 3-4 years. It's the competitive nature in these games that brings out the worst of people.

I only like the original R&C. They made it too complex and shooter-y and took away a lot of the simplicity and charm.

Personally, I think that series is done. However, DR1 was a great next gen showpiece when there wasn't much out. DR3 could have that same effect.

I think you could make a competent moba for consoles from the ground up, but I don't think you could effectively port an existing one.

MS get exclusive insomniac and the ps4 gets a multiplat Bungie game. I still think Sony gets a better end of that betrayal fight.


But in a less trolling POV I think it is good for Insomniac to branch out. They have reached a creative dead end with Sony and clearly things didn't go to plan with EA.

I dont want another generic shooter from Insomniac, I want something that has the style and uniqueness of R&C but made exciting again. Overstrike was basically exactly that before it got EA'ed. I just want Insomniac to make something exciting again regardless of platform.


LOL might be cool but I would guess on it being a console edition and not something with cross platform play or anything crazy. MS getting a big brand name like they love to do.

And I dont expect any big deal or anything but I would bet on Kojima showing up on stage at one of the two xbox events. Maybe save him for EA since after the VGA's they might want to play the console reveal safe.

No, the rumours speak a very clear language that isn't dependent on fan interpretation: 1,2 TFLOPS vs. 1,8 TFLOPS GPU and DDR3 vs. GDDR5 memory. There don't seem to be any reasonable Xbox rumours that suggest otherwise.
