Well, I don't think Ye really wants to be at those kind of things. Especially when they do them right in the middle of heavy marketing/promotion. Often he'll do a signing right after doing a talk show for instance - so he hasn't slept in a day. In general, he seems pretty detached from the business side of things, and really just wants to make music, and play it.

Not that I'm excusing him. I mean, he shouldn't be doing signings if he really has no interest in them. But when I happened to meet him, he was pretty cool. He talked, and at least did a good job pretending he was interested lmao.

But I wouldn't be surprised if others had bad experiences with meeting him. I guess I just got lucky.

That was also when his mom was still around, gotta say that she probably reigned him in a bit in the early days. Who knows how his career would have gone if she was still around to shake her head at him and tell him shit he probably didn't want to hear, but needed to hear.

We might not be getting his little Kardashian brood this year.

It's gonna be the last album where Kanye is raw. Every album after this is gonna be about his family life and his baby's first words.

I'm not feeling either song TBH, something's off with him doing songs with an angry persona. Still like his soul-sampling songs much better.

he was always mad or elements of anger! Listen to fucking spaceship gahaha. And is it really a persona or how he's feeling while making his album?

And regarding his 'style', it just reminds me of what Hov once said,

Hov' on that new shit, niggas like "How come?"
Niggas want my old shit, buy my old albums

and it's true. TCD was 10 years ago, he's not the same dude anymore.

I'm sorry, this guy is not artist I fell in love with. This EmoKanye character thing has gone on for way too long. I miss the guy that made tracks like Goldigger, Champion, Touch the Sky, and New Workout Plan, where the music was witty, hilarious, and just flat out fun.

I know losing his mom and tasting the good life has changed him to some degree, but I think this will be the first Kanye album I skip. This stuff just wanna makes you jump off a bridge, not unlike the effect that movie "Precious" had on me. Dude needs to smell the roses, he's a millionaire connected to one of the most beautiful women in the world who's carrying his first child. As a father-to-be myself, I haven't been happier, and Yeezus isn't going to kill my vibe.

Come home Kanye, come home... :-/

For some reason, I have a feeling his last album will return to those roots. While I disagree with you, don't lose hope yet.

Gotta say I'm worried Black Skinhead's CDQ won't be as intense as his live performance. When he debuts music live, it often sounds better than the studio version, and with something so raw I can't help but feel this'll be the case again. I hope I'm wrong though.

Reminds me of his debut performance of Love Lockdown on the VMAs. That shit was epic with the live drums. The CDQ was good still but it couldn't compare imo.

Runaway was better in studio than the live performance IMO.

I kind of think the same goes for Power. Then again, Power came out first before he debuted it live.

Maybe OP can put this in the first post? It's a HQ version of the album art. Then again, I guess this could be a temporary album art. EDIT: well, it still kind of looks like crap. A fan found this hosted on Kanye's official site. I guess it's better than what we had.

It's a smashed up combination of the Watch The Throne and Cruel Summer album arts, which fits the angry theme we've heard so far.

Well, this is supposedly the album art.

Unless you are asking WHAT the art is. It's actually a face, and half the face is being ripped apart. Some believe it's a statue of David. Just focus on the right side, and imagine that there are eyes under the red tape. Above is the eyebrows and hair, and below the red tape is the mouth screaming.

The stuff to the left of the face is the other side of his head being ripped away.

EDIT: Or lol, just imagine this:

Yeezus and Daft Punk making music together makes me all excited.

This year is amazing for music. New Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, Kanye, Azealia Banks, Janelle Monae, Katy B, M.I.A, Lady Gaga, Mariah, and ofcourse Beyoncé....

Can't go wrong.

It's a melted Jesus piece

Now that I see the face I can't see a melted Jesus piece lol.

Been listening to Black Skinheads on repeat for like almost an hour now. So raw

alright I only watched the performances just now. New Slaves is still just alright, I don't think the song is as heavy as ye tries to make it seem but it definitely has some power. Black Skinhead's awesome though.

New Slaves has much more power in the studio version, without all the self-censoring
