That's better. Half Life 3 being an exclusive on the new Xbox would never happen but it would make the Final Fantasy XIII announcement pale in comparison.

It really is the perfect time to launch any console. Not far enough away from the holidays that it can lose momentum, but enough time to iron out any creases and have a good sell through by the end of the year.

I posted about a Half-life 3 in jest. But I was just sitting here thinking about how awesome that would be. For me it would put the Next Xbox purchase in front of the PS4 for sure and would cause a NeoGAF meltdown of epic proportions.
Surely Valve has been working on it over the years. Why has there been such a gap in releases? I have not really read up on it.

There is no way it would be exclusive to just consoles, but it COULD be exclusive to PC and one of the two next gen consoles. But if this happened, it would almost certainly be the PS4 because of Steam. So MS basically screwed themselves out of that deal. But, lets hope that HL3 is actually in development first lol.

While I don't think HL3 will be exclusive I kind of understand why they delayed the game so that they could take advantage of next gen hardware rather than run it on dated hardware. They probably wanted a huge leap between each installment.
