SPOILER FREE Xbox Event 2013 (or some variation) may do it. Making sure "spoiler free" is in all caps so it's easy to glance at or search for without looking at specific thread titles.

You may be spoiled though by going gaming side if there is any significant announcements as well as name etc
I don't think that means all the rumors were valid in some way (I really don't want to give those blogging sites that used less than reliable sources a pass), but that makes sense. Many people in this thread actually had this theory, especially due to Microsoft's amount of resources.

My school lets out 2 hours after the event. I'm thinking of just skipping since its almost the end of the year but... ugh. I might just watch the event on my phone since we won't be doing anything all day.

That might not work since there will be numerous threads about individual stories from the conference. Maybe someone could make PM list of people who want to direct link for the video. That way they wont have a look at the forum.

I was thinking more in the vein of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
Someone compared the 3rd person idea to gears. That is silly, implying all 3rd person games are like gears.
This Halo game would be a SQUAD BASED shooter. Issuing commands to your squadmates (Ideally Master Chief's original Blue team), calling in air strikes, reinforcements (ODSTs or other Spartans). The icing on the cake would be getting to actually see the Spartans running and jumping and fighting etc. One of the coolest features of reach was the 3rd person segments with Assassinations. You got to see the Spartans in ways that you never could in an FPS do the to the first person point of view. Also a hand to hand combat system (Similar to say Batman: AC only a closer camera angle) would be an AMAZING touch.
Story wise you could go back and explore earlier covenant war stories or maybe the Insurrection? The expanded universe has LOTS of potential.

Yeah I have been hoping Obsidian will announce a deal with ether MS or Sony. Both could use a RPG and Obsidian could use something big like that.
Anyway what was the last thing we heard about Ryse? It wasnt Kinect Only last I heard but I dont know what kind of game it is now.
Yeah, to me it doesn't necessarily imply it always has to be connected to the internet, but that when you are, you're 'always connected' regardless of whether you're on your xbox or not.
I think someone came out and said this is perhaps where the confusion came in about the whole Always Online thing.

I like how it says "Always Connected" during the Xbox 360 boot up thing.
In any case I sincerely hope the Durango reveal is nothing like the 360's was. That's hard to watch.
