Tyrion is the best character there. Sansa was a big fucking asshole when she said she might never want Tyrion to share her bed.

I did not know that Frosty the snow man is in the show :P

Cersei is good but Joffery is a massive cunt.

Yeah, she's an asshole for not wanting a Lannister, one who fought in battle against the Northmen, to have sex with her. Not to mention he's probably double her age and is known for bedding numerous whores.

Doesn't matter if they're married now, her family didn't arrange this marriage, why do you think she'll eventually come around? She doesn't see Tyrion like we see her.

And yet they'll find some dumb reason to keep her in Essos. It's getting ridiculous. I don't know if by the end she even cares about Westeros anymore. It was about proving herself worthy, then it was to get money/gold for a ship, then it was to get an army, now she has perhaps enough firepower to take the Iron Throne and she's going on some emancipation of the slaves mission. I looked at the Essos map, there is another slave city just above Yunkai, who wants to bet she'll go there next as well?

I don't know, I just don't like her being so far from the action in Westeros. Completely missing out on battles like Blackwater, soon to be the battle at Casterly Rock etc.

I'd prefer if she landed down South, so we can see this Highgarden and southern part of Westeros. Ultimately see Robb and Dany squeeze the Lannisters from both sides.
I think of Dany's international safari as preparation for the demanding business of ruling the Seven Kingdoms. You can't step into such a complex role without some experience under your belt. Besides, the more time she gives her dragons to grow, the better. Strategically speaking.

Take the fucking knife! Damnit! I hate Sam so much!

PS: That whore was amazingly hot. Hot damn! Should have just killed Dany and made her queen.
I know, right? You'd think you might want to hold on to the weird stone dagger that instantly killed the almost unkillable ice zombie.

Doesn't he have more dragonglass? I remember them finding heaps of it.

Brilliant episode, so much tension at the wedding. Holy shit.

Stannis and Davos are back!

the Dothraki have horses and arrows. That's an autowin right there

Unsullied are better. There's an example of why in the backstory, but it didn't make it to the viewers guide.

Stannis and Davos are back!

Yeah, he found a cache of the stuff. Now does he still have it is a different question.

Stannis and Davos are back!

Problem is, he's probably the only one who knows it kills them instantly. Most people don't even believe they exist South of the wall.

And the fact the first men buried them and they were hidden so long, means they must be hard to make. 1 extra dagger in the hands of Jon Snow or someone capable means difference between life or death. It seems like he found around 7-9 pieces of dragonglass and a horn like the one Theon's captor uses.

I was Captain Picard-level facepalming when Samwell left the fucking knife and ran like a stupid bitch.

Shit made zero sense.

Great episode apart from the initial Dany scene and Sam leaving the weapon at the end.

That Dany scene was so jarring. Me and my boyfriend were stunned at the utter shitness of the scene.

"Let me see me your cunt"

I get what they were trying to do, make them seem like misogynistic arseholes, but it wasn't subtle in the slightest. It didn't feel like a GoT scene to me.

I really don't know how that scene got approved in its current state. Seriously. Surprised there hasn't been more mention of it.

Think that was the point.

Stannis really needs to get his target priority in order

Joffrey - makes sense
Robb - well, I guess you can make a case for it
Greyjoy - ??? King of the Iron Islands

pick Tywin, you fool! He's the one who pulls the strings in King's Landing. This is like Arya and Jaqen all over again

Tywin isn't a king.

Stannis said he saw a great battle in the snow, I'm guessing that's not going to happen for a few seasons? And fuck waiting two weeks for an episode, might rewatch seasons 1 and 2 to make the wait bearable.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the vision Dany saw at the end of S2, a destroyed Red Keep covered in snow if I remember right.

What was wrong with it? It was loud and in your face. That was the point of the scene. Not everyone is going to treat Daenarys Targaeryan, first of her name as a Queen. I loved it because it showed two things, she's not a hot head like Joffrey, and that Jorah was ready to fight on her behalf and it amused her. If you watch carefully, she has a subtle waving of the hand to stand down.

It wasn't supposed to be subtle, it was brutally honest talk by some ruthless bastard from Braavos. Look at the way he treated the whore. I'm a guy and I felt a bit uncomfortable at what he was saying to Dany, but I think it was the point. To make us uncomfortable, irritated, appalled. Plus it's HBO, they don't give a crap. Look at the stuff that's been approved.

Ties into the Winter is Coming stuff discussed earlier no? The wildlings are marching South, the White Walkers were somewhere near the Fist of the First Men, it's inevitable that the Cold/snow will return. It's going to be interesting how they show a blizzard in Kings Landing. But someone said the seasons don't change as quick, so who knows, maybe it'll be a year or two from now. It was interesting though, that Dany told the Second Sons captains that a year ago, she had no dragons. It's only been a year since the first season finale?

I'm still not entirely sure I understand what your problem with the scene is. Why shouldn't it have gone down like it did?

I've always had the feeling that Joffrey would die in the season finale and that curse makes me think it might actually happen to him at least or maybe that's just me wanting it so badly that I believe it's true. I just think that would be a really good cliffhanger since it would leave a lot of uncertainty in our minds and it has to be something that happens eventually given how it'd advance the plot as well.

Maybe it won't happen until next season since the book they're on is split into this season and next, correct?

It's the one death that I'm licking my chops for so maybe I'm a little ahead of myself since there's only two episodes left this season. So I guess it's safer to say next season and start anticipating his death some more...

Joffrey's definitely dying. I was wrong about Sansa and Jaime but we've already seen this setup before. Melisandra does some magic and two episodes later a king dies. It sucks we have to wait 2 weeks just for the next episode.

Speaking of sucks and Sansa I can't believe her character at the time was supposed to be 14. (I do believe it but it's still disgusting what she's going through).

There were so many indiginities she had to go through yesterday and the worst had to be Joffrey's comments of coming, after Tyrion was asleep, with his guards to rape her himself was infuriating.

But those Dragons take time to grow.

And man it pisses me off when someone drops a weapon and doesn't pick it up. The Fat Kid drops that spearhead he found, which obviously has some shit going on with it that it killed a White Walker and didn't pick it up when they ran. Bloody shows.

You think Joffrey will die by the end of the season?

No Joffrey biting lip gif yet? Someone needs to get on that ASAP.

Well they are sellswords dont expect some manners and fancy talk from them i think it fit pretty well that they behave like assholes.

The Daenerys hype train is rolling along picking up steam. I just hope the inevitable betrayal by Jorah doesn't hurt too much.

I refuse to believe that we're gonna have such a huge game changer as the Stannis part of the episode suggested.

Sam, you fucking idiot. The dragonglass being able to kill White Walkers is a nice set up for the eventual end game though.

Tyrion is the man. I hope when Dany crosses over and smacks everyone down he gets spared.

Why would Jorah betray her though? He loves her, I have a feeling he might be upset she's bringing on this dreamboat Daario guy, but he wouldn't risk his relationship/friendzone/future lover with her over it, would he?

If she starts a relationship with anyone other than him, yes, I think he will betray her.

I saw it with Jon Snow but how do you figure with Jorah?

Dany has dragons.

The dialog was horribly written, just intended to shock you (i.e. "show me your cunt!"). It seemed like they thought: 'hmm, how can we convey that these sellswords are misogynists', there was no tact to the dialog. The entire scene felt amateurish (e.g. sniffing Missandei, slapping her behind).

I don't mean this in the sense of 'ooh I'm so offended by the use of the word 'cunt'', it's just this type of character keeps getting introduced: a tactless male who's a dick to Dany - they either get roasted by her dragons or killed by someone else - whilst she sits there smug and calm. I feel like the same stuff keeps getting recycled with her, it's starting to become redundant. I've enjoyed these scenes in the past (e.g. Kraznys in Astapor), but something was really 'off' about the whole scene. Perhaps it's the actor (he didn't seem intimidating in the slightest), perhaps its the dialogue. What ever it is, it sucks.

I'll admit I felt better about the scene after we found out that Daario (sp?) had killed them. At least they can't stain a scene like that again.

What makes you think he's going to betray her? If anything he seems in love with her.

Because she's gonna nail or at least appear to be getting close to the new guy. And Jorah as all members of the friendzone club do, will eventually get frustrated and transfer his negative feelings on her. So she'll end up as an ungrateful bitch in his eyes.

I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Yeah you're right I could see him getting jealous and doing something stupid

Pretty sure they're not woman haters (gotta love the constant misuse of the M word), just swaggering Condottieri, who need to put on a good front in front of her because they know that they're actually up against it if it comes to a fight.

Why didn't Sam pick up the fucking dagger?!?!?

His equipment load was too high after looting the white walker so he had to make room.

It was a great episode. I literally said "oh shit" out loud at Tyrion's threat to Joffrey. Speaking of that, Joffrey was full on douchebag mode this episode. I felt that he was too tame earlier in the season, but the show is definitely reminding people on why they should hate him (though I think most don't need reminders). The dragonglass/obsidian reveal at the end makes a lot of sense, since it is created by lava and fire is super effective against the walkers. Though I'm not sure why the first men didn't just leave a note with the daggers saying, "THIS LITERALLY ONE-SHOTS THOSE ZOMBIES START MAKING DRAGONGLASS SWORDS PRONTO." The fight against the white walkers would turn into a musou game if they give the Night's Watch some black-edged swords.

I didn't get the coin scene though. Jaqen mentioned to Arya last season that if she wanted to meet him again, give the Bravos coin to someone from there. So is Dario from there? And you gotta kill a dude if you get one of those coins? That didn't make sense to me.

1st time poster on this thread, whom had mixed feelings about this episode.

**On one hand, I loved the events on the weeding: both Cersei lashing out against the already-too-comfortable Margaery (could swear I hear the later making a "gulp" sound after it), and specially how Tyrion confronted the goddamn King -in front of everyone- to protect Sansa (you could see his hand trembling, while slowly spelling out his threat. Like a mix of anger, fear and desperation).

He really is the kind of person that grows up when facing dire situations. But! can't stop but feel that next time, he won't be so lucky to have his father there to help placate Joffrey.

Also, I confirmed my suspicious that the Hound does really have a soft spot (well, at least for girls in distress). Also, since Arya is making powerful allies everywhere, I'm starting to feel that she -along with Danny, Jon and Tyrion-, will end up being the true major heroes of Westeros.

On the other hand, I'm not feeling the new addition to Daenerys army (whom apparently has not being added to the HBO GoT Viewer's guide yet). The whole situation felt a bit too fast and convenient, as if I was missing a lot of pages from the book. Is that how it was presented there as well? Also, he looks a bit too "elfish" and "cartoony" for my taste: I have no problems with Dragons or ice welding creatures, but somehow, he felt too much like an RPG archetype.

Plus, even if his pledge was sincere and long-term committed (which I doubt, specially after his speech of "I do what I want, whenever I feel like it"), how can Danny be sure that his army is going to be ok to follow a low rank that just killed the 2 main leaders. They were never portrayed as unconditional followers, were they?

Finally, I thought the last scene was less exciting than it should. It started great, with the crows slowly arriving to that Sacred tree (which I thought, would somehow protect them) presaging the arrival of the enemy. Quite eery. Then, suddenly seeing the silhouette of a full White walker! Great moment, specially after noticing how easily dispatched the sword.

But alas, seeing him completely disregard Sam sort of feel like a cop out. I was expecting them to be completely merciless. But on the other hand, the fact that he was alone, and clearly looking for the baby (and remembering that Craster only gave them male kids), strongly implies that it's their main/only way to create more like them - ie. not just zombies.

Extra: You would think that legends would pass the knowledge that Obsidian weapons are their weakness. But somehow, it's not the case. -

'And so my watch begins' was a genius statement from Tyrion!

It has everything I'm expecting from this show.
You only get it if you payed attention to some vows that happened 2 seasons ago, fits the character perfectly and isn't too much in your face like some other gags or threats.

By misogynist, I meant they only place worth in women for their bodies. You know it can be used like that, right?

Am I the only person that absolutely hates all of the Khaleesi stuff?
Its like one minute you have all these interesting characters, locations and plots, next you're suddenly watching Scorpion King.

It's one of my favorite storylines. From scared child to BREAKER OF CHAINS. Plus it takes place in an exotic, brutal, and mysterious continent filled with dangers. It fills the action adventure quota that you don't see in other storylines.
