they might improve or change a little, but I see little reason to believe MS is aiming for more then PS4 visual parity.

You decide to snub a system over something like a FIFA, in Europe no less, and suddenly you open the doors yourself to insane possibilities like PES rising once again, for bringing even more ire into the house of EA's reputation. Its just not worth it. Something like Respawn's new IP? Fine. FIFA? Fuck no.

FIFA is going to be there for that "first look" association I guess MS want, and EA is happy to oblige. Nothing more.

You do realize that FIFA has competition in form of PES? They will lose the complete Playstation market to PES. It may be only $50 million now, but what about later in this generation? It's not going to happen. And then there is the $300 million sponsoring deal between Sony and the FIFA...

70% of the champs work with keyboard. It wouldn't be 100% the same game, but it would work.

I believe the one month delay was due to a hardware change. Not as large as some here dream, but an improvement none the less. Gave the a month to analyze impact on yeilds, power needs, compute gain, physical layout and marketing.

Of course, exclusive DLC and whatnot is very possible, but that's not the same as full exclusivity.

You think thats worth whatever one time payout Microsoft could afford, poisoning their own well so completely on one of their absolute bread and butter outputs? Not a fucking chance. This, timed exclusive Fifa seems like wishful thinking to me. MS has already shown they don't need to cough up for exclusives to get a game associated with their console (see: CoD).

looks like the hype for this event is still rather high, even though many here had feared that the early ps4 confrence would eat into the anticipation. I hope they give us a good image of what the console looks like.

i dont even remember the timelines, but subjectively it seemed like the sony event was announced later. like it came much sooner after it was announced so we didn't have time to go hype crazy.

i think by making us wait so long and announcing longer before the event, ms was able to really crank the hype.

or maybe thats just my perception because ms delayed the event once. like i say i dont exactly remember the timelines.
