I just remember him talking and talking and talking and talking.

It worked though, boy did I make sure I saved everytime. No one wanted to go through that 20 minute speech again.

You can change your DS clock and the game updates on that. Another instance is that if you missed out on a shop item or a sale the day before or whatever and you changed the clock/date to get it, that's time travel.

Changing the internal clock date/hour in order to find stuff and money faster but if I'm not mistaken, on the DS it locked you out of some timed events for 24 hours every time you did it because the game managed to know somehow that you tinkered with the system time.
 
Wait, what happens when the clocks go back and I need to put the time an hour back, since when the clocks went forward last I had to change it manually?
 
The Dream Suite sounds pretty awesome. Relax and check out random towns and such? Not a bad thing to do when I'm layin' in bed with not much else to do. Can see me using that quite a bit.

The roll back or flash forward isn't that huge of a deal imho so I don't bother with updating the 3DS for that. The game rolls real time, so a hour is pretty much negligible at this point.

Yeah, good thing to do after daily activities or just when you're bored, it sounds like. Would be nice to just explore town and see their public works/patterns.

Didn't he freak out even more if you insulted him or cussed when that came up? I know I did that a few times and his reaction was different than if I typed something wrong. Can't remember for sure though.

"The Reset Surveillence Center is an optional community project, if you don’t have it installed you wont be pestered by Resetti when you forget to save. "

Well here's an idea, DON'T play AND SAVE during that hour. Once that hour passes, feel free to change it and then put in the game to play the game/save whatever. Thankfully most of these silly daylight savings happen at real late at night anyway.

Weird.

I just checked a FAQ that says you can't even build the Resetti Center without having seen him at least once.

Would Nintendo really just let people reset as much as they want in this game without any consequences?

Well I guess I'll worry about it when it actually comes to the time, I think it's around 2AM or something so I should be okay hopefully.

No biggie, I actually thought the 3DS follows the daylight savings time. I guess not. I don't think I ever paid attention to that on my old DS.

Maybe there's an option somewhere but I haven't seen it.
But I kind of want to see the time traveler dude yell at me, it sounds quite funny the way it's described here.

Agreed, he's definitely worth meeting. He's a character to behold. <3 He's not a time traveler really, he just KNOWS. He's an all knowing GOD in AC games.

Amazing how much misinformation is going round. Either they're wrong or Bell Tree are wrong. The various wikis are no good either, always out of date or just inaccurate on many things. Sigh.

I just remembered the first time the DS game shocked me hard and made me realise it was full of puns and stuff aimed at adults that kids wouldn't notice barely at all.

It was still my first week playing and the red fox appeared with his tent at my town. That's a character that sells you "rare" stuff and museum art that has a really high chance of being counterfeit (therefor scamming your money) and until you become a member to his store, you have to hunt down the password to access from other neighbours, but at that point I still didn't knew.

So, I go to the tent and asks me to complete the following sentence (in Spanish): "Rubia de bote..." which means "Fake blonde..." or "Dyed Blonde...". Ok, so, this is a very gross pun in my language that is answered with "chocho morenote" ("black haired cunt"). It obviously wasn't the correct answer (I tried...) but I stayed there, looking at my DS in complete shock and awe for like 5 minutes not know what to think. A while after I learned that the password for that week was "cejas negras" ("black haired eyebrows") which didn't rhyme but in the end made more sense for a PEGI 3+ game.

Hmm, they don't talk about resetti in the Animal Crossing Direct, so it really was in the Iwata Ask.
I'm even more hyped now >.<
Can't wait to try all the island's mini-games.
