Animal Crossing: New Leaf comes out in a month.

Fuck whoever deleted all the friendcodes, but I'm pretty sure on Google Docs you can revert back to any previous edit that has ever occurred to the spreadsheet (the owner can, that is).
 
Whoever was the creator of the sheet should have a version that contains all the FCs untouched. The link should definitely be made private (and only visible to GAF members through quote). A new sheet may need to be created however since the lurker who messed up the FCs may have saved the link...

I made the spreadsheet based on sergioalb's recompilation of codes. But now I don't really feel like doing anything since my friend list is almost full anyway. It still sucks but oh well.

I didn't know you could do that!
I reverted it back to how it was before someone literally took the whole FC column and deleted it.

Hmmm, perhaps FearMyWrench should make one by copy pasting the current one and have him take care of it since he's making the OT and all.
 
Looks like it was restored so the AC friend code hype can return once again! Thanks Goli.
Also, as I've mentioned before I've added everyone currently on the spreadsheet so if you're name is on their and you haven't already added me back I'd appreciate it if you did.

Just a fyi, you may want to uh... oh never mind. Its gone now. I was about to say to save the file yourself and add anyone's codes manually on the file on your own pc.

EDIT: And its restored lol.

Anyway, I have my copy saved on my pc so if anyone wants to get theirs, go to "File, Download As, Microsoft Excel".

Just added you, but it doesn't look like you added me yet. My FC is 5241-3109-8362.

I'm (hopefully) getting my reviewcopy this week, so I'm mainly looking for fellow journalists at the moment to play the game with. Everybody else is free to add me too, of course, but please let me know (through PM or quote) so I can add you back.

Just want to say thank you so much for doing this though, it really encouraged a lot of decent people to have lots of friends on their 3DS. :) Please don't be discouraged, we'll think of another way or get around it. :)

Fixing it is really easy, it just seems like such a silly thing to do. Like the things a child would do.

Okay, I asked around a bit more and I think I know the answer. It's a combination of both.

The first time you reset, Resetti will pop up. (He'll actually pop up on the loading screen the first time, not in front of your house like usual.) He explains about why you shouldn't reset and mentions the Resetti Surveillance Center. After that, the Surveillance Center will be added to your Public Works list. If you choose not to build it, Resetti will never scold you again. (Though Isabelle might give you a gentle reminder not to reset.) If you do build the Surveillance Center, Resetti will appear like he did in previous games, yelling at you when you reset. (You can also visit him and Don at the Surveillance Center at special times for non-rage filled interactions.)

I believe the above is the actual process going by what others have told me. If any Japanese players are here that wish to add any corrections, please do.

Probably yeah, it reminds me of those insane textures that people would decorate their entire towns with to have a complex design. I definitely don't have that much talent or motivation to do that, but it was amazing to visit towns that were fully designed like that. The only major downsides were that you couldn't run or you'd wreck their town and plants/trees couldn't grow on top of textures I don't think.

Hmm... if I were to invest in pattern or textures, I'd rip from Dragon Quest lol. But yeah, I rather have my flowers though.
 
Tossed on my FC and stuff, will add people once I can get around to it. Though I'm not sure how things are going to work if I'm planning to transfer my 3ds data to the AC 3ds, what with the game bundled with the 3ds being digital and all.

Having your own copy of the spreadsheet has its own benefits... you can organize by alphabetical order of names or by fruits or by region. /OCD XD

If I'm way off, I'm 2063-0136-7507, don't TT, and, well, God knows when I'll be on, but hey. Please PM if you add me for AC:NL purposes. unless of course we pick each other up from the sheet.

I intend to be a gardener. Hybridizing flowers consumed me in Wild World. I had rooms full of 'em… blue roses were so lovely, even on that old crappy DS screen. :)

So... spreadsheet's gone private for now?
To prevent people from erasing it in the future, you could hide the link in email tags, or have the spreadsheet be read-only and have people fill in the information in a form.

If someone here decides to ruin it we'll either have to quit using Google Docs/Spreadsheets at all OR make it private, but if it's made private then I'll (or whoever decides to make another one, if that happens) need everyone's emails which makes everything super cumbersome.

I love flower reeding! I'm really excited that there's violets and lilies in New Leaf - more flowers to breed! And blue roses rock!

North America. The black ones were fun, I remember having to carry around the old standard watering can so that I didn't accidentally gold-ize them when they wilted. I had a few golds, of course, but the blacks were far more valuable to me.

I also remember having a big flower giveaway where I planted nearly the entire square near the gate full of hybrids and invited people over to come and take some to boost their own efforts.

If people mess up this new one I think this would be the best course of action. It's pretty easy to set up too, you just make a spreadsheet and then hit Tools > Create a form and just set up the few questions for username, FC, other info (maybe make it editable by the original submitter if that's possible, I forget if it is). Then you could have a read-only spreadsheet with the info automatically entered in and I think you could copy paste the info we already have so people wouldn't have to reenter if they've already done it. Just an idea, thanks for the hard work regardless!!
 
Added all the new people on the sheet. Shame there's someone going out of their way to delete entries though, can't believe people don't have better things to do with their time :/

I just turned on AC: Town Folk on Wii followed by Wild Word on DS. Felling nostalgic. Found some ex girlfriend letters in there (WW) lol. Also a tile I made with my face on it! I remember it took me ages doing it pixel by pixel. I look forward to making some sweet designs on 3DS!

Yup, I'm doing the OT! Feel free to mention any suggestions. I was planning to make one of those fancy form-to-spreadsheet things but we'll just use Goli's spreadsheet now.
 
Yeah, it should be good to go as soon as it's allowed to be posted. Actually, a lot of it is already finished. I've been working on it off and on for a little bit now. I'm a bit blown away by how busy this thread has been, the OT is going to be crazy I think.
