I've read the first book and I'm early into the second one. CAN I STILL HANG OUT WITH YOU GUYS?

I think so.

For what I worth I've read the first book and the first couple of pages of the second one (I decided to put it down when S2 started). As far as I can tell we are long, long past that point in the show. Even the personality of most characters have gone through massive changes. We couldn't spoil shit even if we wanted. Just try not to make comparisons out of respect and you'll be fine.

Lol, so much people bummed down by book readers spreading ""theories"", i think it's funny that someone would go to that length to spoil something, like some kind of kinky fetish.

Anyway, i'm kind of disappointed by how hard they try not to show dicks in the show.
Is this something too taboo or are they just being silly? I mean they did show full frontal several times when it comes to female characters, but for males, not as much (i can think of Hodor's and a couple of other scenes maybe).
I find it weird, how they treat nudity in the show.

For example in the Melisandre's scene, they cut away multiple times, as for not to show the bastard's junk, which was distracting for me, because it's not like they usually shy away from such details.

Season one was the male full frontal season (Hodor, Pycelle, dude who tried to kill Dany). This is the ass season for sure.

It's different and there is definitely a double standard. But you'll never see full male frontal, just as we never actually see full female frontal. Sure we see the front, but not necessarily the "bits" of the area, if you get what I mean.

So you won't ever see the appearance of full male or female genitalia.

It might also be the actor refusing to show their junk on screen. The guy who plays Gendry and the guy who plays Stannis especially are somewhat established actors, so if they don't want to go nude they probably have it in their contracts. I do think the producers are not as likely to actively seek male actors willing to bare it all than with women, though.

Because the Greyhoys are little turds and are rebelling in order to reclaim their old crappy kingdom. Stannis is the right king of Westeros (all of it) and he ain't getting any of that pirate shit.

I love how this thread has so many Stannis supporters lol

Normally you'd think most would side with Robb.

What's the worth of the Iron Islands anyway? As far as I can tell they are only inhabited by miserable fishermen and a decaying house that can't probably provide much of value to the realm.

They don't till the land, they don't mine, they don't seem particularly involved in trade... Their only apparent value is to be a perpetual pain in the ass for everyone who has to deal with them.

Not so much nowadays, the Tully's were given control afterwards, which is why I said I think the Iron Islands are part of the Riverlands.

Well not nowadays, but the Greyjoys were one of the kings of the original seven kingdoms.

Bow down before Stannis the Mannis, the rightful king of Westeros!

But as Forkball pointed out, we've already seen male genitalia in the show.
Just not the "good one" i'd argue.

Maybe male actors are more reluctant to sign a full nudity deal, or aren't pressed as much for it.

Just don't allow speculation talk. Simple. It is hard to tell, but some people are pretty good at guessing while others are not. If you really want to avoid everything, don't allow talk save for what has been shown on TV.

Damn you guys are right... I forgot. It does come down to actors then. Considering how quickly GIF's and other memes are created, I'm pretty sure a lot of them would be reluctant for full frontal.

We got a faceful of Theon's cock in S1.
No Drogo, no Robb.
Clearly the more beloved ones are missing.
We'll see if Daario gets naked or not.

Fuck that, i want to speculate. :\
I suggest don't allow book reading.

Plenty of man-ass, tho.

I think one of the reasons they don't show much male nudity (full frontal anyway) is that penises are a heck of a lot more visually intrusive. Most examples of female nudity involve merkins or finely groomed bushes. There's nothing that "pops out" about female genitalia and GoT certainly avoids certain compromising angles that could show some labia. Dicks, tho... they dangle. They get in your face. They are dicks. They are a completely different game.

You have a point, but i think they're also so distracting because they're never shown.
It was refreshing for example how in Eastern Promises they just show the full scene, instead of dancing around with absurd angles, to avoid showing Viggo's stuff.

*snicker*

It's kind of hard to stop people spoiling by pretending to be smart and figured out stuff because always going to have dicks who do it so it must be hard for mods.

That being said most us book readers only come in here to help viewers with either lore or world building or help explain stuff from episode if person is confused not all us are bad.

After this episode could be interesting to see which GoT cast members could be up for awards I suspect Peter Dinklage could be up for an award again

If you see someone posting what you think are spoilers send a PM to duckroll, turning this thread into a witch hunt has the opposite effect of what you're hoping.

Recently I've seen untagged spoilers in the other thread but nothing in this one.

Many ships and capable sailors, I guess.

They basically this worlds version of Vikings but worship Cthulhu they plunder rape and take what they want.

Yeah, I want to speculate (not book reader) - that was one of the main reasons I started to post on this forum. So for those that already know what's going to happen: please restrain yourself... we are so close to the season finale.

I honestly don't know what scene is going to have the major focus. On Season 1, was obviously Ned falling, and the impending assault to King's Landing on the second one.

And here? We have 3 possible battles: On Castle Black, Yunkai and Casterly Rock.
But now that Daario (still not on HBO guide) and the mercenaries apparently joined Daenerys, not sure how worthy will be to see that battle, as they already would have the major upper hand (but I want to see it!). And on Casterly Rock, the Hound mentioned that the wedding of Robb's cousin has not even occurred, so not sure if we are going to see it this season.

Then we have the other 2 pending weddings (Cersei's and specially Joffrey's, which would be a major milestone), the arrival of Brianne and Jaime (will he prevents her sister's marriage?), and Theon's fate -which HAS to occur already. Can't imagine being delayed any further.

Plus, guess the most relevant element: the "demo" curse.
I honestly thought that Melisandre would try to create another 'shadow assassin', but she instead went with lyches and blue-balling, heh. And if this curse turns out to be so powerful as to actually kill all the 3 Kings (please don't kill Joffrey yet!), then it would means that Gendry >> Stannis.

2 episodes sound awful too few to wrap all these events.

But it's not being enforced.

I've seen several posts in here where I can infer that the person has read the books and mysteriously, their """""theories""""" turn out to be 100% correct.

It's so pathetic.

Can you point to some?

Full disclosue, I *have* read the books and therefore mostly refrain from posting here, and *nothing* about stuff outside the show.

Edit: never mind, I just easily found an example myself. Yes, pathetic.

The only people I want to survive are The Hound and Bronn, so that they can later get a spinoff show where they travel the countryside getting in zany adventures.
Yes... like an evil version of Hercules and Iolaus. Dany and Missandei can do the Xena and Gabrielle thing. Tyrion would make occasional visits as a much less buffonish Joxter.

How did the bathtub from the first Sherlock Holmes movie end up in Dany's possession?
You know... there's some sad fucker whose job it is to carry that damn thing everywhere their stupid army goes. Freed slave, my ass.

And the giant ass couches. Don't forget about the couches.

Yes, making the joy of females everywhere... :'(

Eh? We've seen both full frontal in this show, and other shows. And it just happens that there's a fuckton more full frontal female nudity than male (and these females all happen to be gorgeous and perfectly groomed, whereas the males were all unattractive). Frankly, it's a bit annoying.

the Hound mentioned that the wedding of Robb's cousin uncle has not even occurred, so not sure if we are going to see it this season.
Just a quick nitpick. Edmure Tully is Catelyn's brother and Robb's uncle. :)

I'm honestly a bit miffed by the landing strips on some of the ladies.

Osha should have a seriously wild bush down there. Get her the craziest merkin if she's not willing to let it grow.

What actually ARE the 7 kingdoms specifically? I can't visit a wiki without going deep into spoiler territory, so could someone kindly list them for me?

The North (Stark)
The Vale (Arryn)
The Iron Islands (Greyjoy)
The Westerlands (Lannister)
The Reach (Tyrell)
The Stormlands (Baratheon)
Dorne (Martell)

It's a good point. I could see some of the refined/exotic ladies of King's Landing or especially Essos being carefully groomed, but Wildlings should be wild.

There was male frontal a couple of weeks ago. Littlefinger's spy showed his willy during the scene with he and Loras. Luckily I don't remember seeing Hodor or Pycell. Maybe I just blocked it out.
