So the GTAV hub page on Xbox.com is the only one having a dark header representing the same colors as used on www.xboxevent.com/reveal and the www.xbox.com/en-US/hub/reveal colors. The header was simply transparent the last time I checked.

It looks like the afternoon is dedicated to the "behind the scenes" technical details Thurroth (or was it Greenberg ?) was mentioning, with visits of the labs, technical demos, architecture discussion etc. I expect interesting articles coming later about those. :)

Pretty much first time ever as far as I know...360 was leaked like crazy before being revealed, people were looking at trailers in GAF the day before they were revealed and it didn't do much to help games like Shadowrun that people were flipping out about (in a negative way). Kinect stuff was leaked in various stages. Even for Xbox 1 I think things were leaked...

What will piss me off is if somehow press releases get sent out spoiling the whole thing 5 or 10 mins before the live stream starts...of course threads on GAF would get created and basically the surprise factor will be gone...the likelihood of this happening seems like it is pretty high :P
 
oh Gestalt, that Kameo GIF. I would love to see a sequel, but I think they'll left that one for dead.

Did you make one for Banjo?

I remember the PS3 shape being leaked.

I remember the 360 shape being leaked and nobody believed it would look like a 'tampon'.

I remember the Wii -almost- being leaked, but plenty of info coming out.

Whatever the fuck they've got planned, they didn't want us to know yet.

I don't know. Didn't Microsoft criticise Sony for having a next-gen reveal but not showing the box? Do you really think MS will leave themselves open for being criticised for showing a box but only current (last) gen I.Ps? People are clamouring for something new and exciting, I think MS will surprise some of you.

It'd be fucking awesome if after the press conference journalists could get hands on a few demos of the new Kinect, the UI and maybe even a couple of games. It would fit the the more Apple/Surface type of reveal too. Besides with E3 that close they probably already have a lot of that stuff ready for to show.
 
Will this be the generation that we finally get a proper console MMORPG (yeah, I'm still bitter about the cancelation of TFLO :- )? I really hope that with the power these new consoles will bring to the table, and the current stage of broadband connectivity it may be possible.
 
Since there hasn't been any real leaks yet and we are only a few hours away I think it is safe to assume there is probably <30 people on the planet that know the real details about the console, haha. All Microsoft has to do with this event is transport the console hardware, marketing materials, and personnel from the nearby buildings which are just a few hundred feet away. Microsoft might have gone crazy in secrecy but it seems to have paid off.

I've downloaded the Gametrailers app (it says it will be streamed there).....and I'll try xbox.com if all else fails.

Major Nelson merely pointed out that Sony did not show the console.

New IP isn't unlikely, but this close to E3 you think they would save ammo. I think it's far more likely they'll show a few popular franchises enhanced with Live, Kinect, Illumiroom, etc. features Only on Xbox to demonstrate their vision.
