I noticed something. Sony's reveal conference was at 6PM EST, which is a convenient time for (east) USA but a fucked up time for Europe since it's the middle of the night.
Microsofts reveal conference is convenient for EU but much less convenient for US.

I guess that Sony think they have EU market covered and focus on US and MS has US market covered and focus on EU. This will be a very interesting gen.

Well they need to do something in the EU.
Who knows what Sony might have planned for the Champions League finale which is right around the corner.

To me I always saw the 360 to be the AMERICA console. Sony knows how to take care of Europe and that show in the EU PS Plus, if you check some of what LIVE gets you in some places in Europe it's.... sad. I mean, in here I don't even had the Xbox Indie game section or anything.

I think Microsoft will want to show something that will blow the best (graphically) of what Sony had (which was Killzone). They probably don't have anything that will be the scale of Killzone so I guess they will show a game with a smaller scale but greater details.

Please god show Alan Wake 2.

Also, the comment I made regarding the twitter post is more about what Microsoft said after Sony's press conference (a great day for the industry) than anything else.

It dont really have to be on the same scale as killzone as everybody know your not running around them streets and stuff in there

The last GTA game exclusive to a Sony system was back in 2004...also when was Dark Souls a Sony exclusive? Sony fucked it up by not continuing the Demon's Souls series when From approached them, hell they didn't even care enough to publish the game in US and Europe...it'll be funny to see these decisions come back and bite them in the ass.

I want new IP's but new IP's plus Dark Souls 2 will be even better.

Various rumors and sources from gaming sites. Seems logical. Microsoft was probably content to stand pat and wait until E3 for a reveal, but their hand was somewhat forced by a surprising early PS4 reveal, and they felt a need to retaliate. Then they delayed their original April reveal to May when they figured out they couldn't rush the event out in time.

Eh?, its been 2 or 3 months or something and this reveal is right before E3 like it was with the 360, if anything it shows confidence that they didn't even change their plans after the PS4 reveal.

Sony's marketing has been on point lately and MS is going to have to pull something massive today and/or at E3 in order to capture the US again. I highly doubt that they will have the advantage that they had last year (mainly coming out a year earlier). I honestly plan on getting both systems (because I'm a nut, lol) but Sony has set the pace. MS waited too long to delay announcing their system to have any advantage but if MS does something more unique than Sony, only then we can say that they may have the upper hand. I feel that it's really going to boil down to the games available.
