Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | May 2013 | Lovecraftian Wasteland

After all regions are taken into account and you get a price drop on the game I don't see why not. Especially if you factor in digital sales, too which we have no info on at the moment.

Not bad. I just hope it was enough to cover costs. I know a sequel is already planned (YAY) so it must have met expectations.

For an unproven IP it really isn't that bad on any platform much less the Vita. I have seen PS3 games sell 500,000 copies or less LTD and deemed successful.

Being that it is a Vita title I also doubt the Dev costs were very high.

Vita referral reminder:

"PS Vita Refer-A-Friend reward emails were sent to qualifying participants on April 15, 2013. If you qualify and have not received your reward email, please contact Playstation Support at Pscustomer_Service@PlayStation.Sony.com with the subject line: Refer-A-Friend. To ensure prompt service, please include your name, PSN ID, and the email address that you used to sign up for the Refer-A-Friend program. "

I sent them an e-mail because I haven't received anything and most of my referrals were marked as "success-pending" and then I received an answer with a bunch of PSN vouchers, yay!! So if you haven't tried yet, give it a shot, it may work out for you too!

Well it's bound to outsell original MH, so I think it's doing quite good :)
I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm actually enjoying SS more than I liked MonHun (Although if MH3GP came to Vita in English I would be all over that). I think I like not being tied down to one particular play style (close range, AOE, evasive etc) for each mission. So if they make it a franchise, they've got me interested in a type of game I had thought I was tired of. I guess they just need more people to love it as much as I do so far.

Oh, I did not get the trophy. I didn't even get into a co-op game; the online seems ridiculously borked.

But I'm willing to see if we have a better connection or something before I delete the game. I'll resend a FR soon.
Yeah well I don't mind giving it a shot. Catch you later.

Did you see my PM about how I can't send you a new FR?

Hey what's going on? Haven't played PSO2 in a long time now. Monster Hunter 3U is just too fantastic.

i did make it to 50/50 before I switched to a Hunter

lucky >_< im still on 49/48. Need to start extreme quests already. There is A LOT of content coming so plz come back :3

Just popping in to greet the Vitamuffins and asking about Velocity US. Released? Releases today? No date known?

??? what?

House:"our crappy MonHun strategy failed completely, SS was a huge flop, what should we do?"
Shu Yoshida :" lets make more MonHun clones no one want"
Allan Becker: "Ok sound like a shitty plan,I Love it..I'll put our best team on it and waste their talents completely "
Kaz: "Excellent"

Straight up, what is your problem?

Didn't you sell your Vita?

You remind me of the kid at school that hits the girl he fancies.

I'm really happy to hear that Panopticon game is a Vita game.

Yeah, FFA for Vita is up today.

Germinator too.

Germinator has been out for months. Unless you just mean it's going free for Plus today. I bought it the first day it came out. It's pretty good for the type of game it is, but nothing amazing. I couldn't play it because of my color deficiency, though (blue and purple one the game looked exactly the same to me).

My bad, I thought it was new. :)

The SCEA submission process is a LOT different to the SCEE one. Shame its not globally done like the app store.

Whatever it is, it's obnoxious.
It's why we're still waiting on Flying Hamster HD and why it took over 6 months to get Frobisher Says!

Tied the current (but soon to be displaced) challenge time with the challenge leader last night. 0:51 seconds with two sorcerers. Not too shabby.

I managed a 0:52 on my own earlier. Still not sub-0:50 though. ;)

The weird thing to me is that Sony has been making a big deal about getting indie games on the store so much easier, letting indies choose when their games go up on the store, etc.

So far it does not seem like much has changed from that aspect because I doubt it was the choice of the Devs to delay Hotline miami, or futurelabs choice to not know when their game will release on the store.

I guess most of what they are talking about is for PS4, but they really need to get this shit worked out, and stand behind their words if they make public announcements of these things, because when these releases end up getting screwed it just makes SCEA look thay much more incompetent.

Is FFA getting a retail release?

Oh yaay, just noticed I'm not a Junior anymore. Was wondering about that since I thought it had been about three months.

While the Xbox people are getting their faces melted...

For someone who missed the QUANTUM CONUNDRUM puzzle platformer when it was on PS+...

In what way?
I hear ya. The platforming at the Thule Tree made me want to delete the game. Luckily people here gave me tips that got me past one really tricky part and it's been great the rest of the way.

Which part is giving you a hard time?

I suck at the platforming. The stuff where you have to switch between dimensions and have to time the jumps. I am horrible at it and I just wanted to destroy my Vita last night. :P

Welp, that One conference should sure make it easy to go PS4 next-gen. Dat remote play.

Any opinions on Men's Room yet? Stinks I have to add $5 to buy it.

R&C has a variable framerate, ranging from around 5-10fps to 45-60fps . Also seems to be sub-native res. I haven't tried multiplayer. It could be different.

Edit: It has an update which I did NOT use. That could change things.
