Catching up on this thread has been, uh, terrifying.
Is there going to be a "brony" sub-culture equivalent for this game? Because goddammit
I ain't mad at Sats and Robin64, just worried for their wellbeing
Seems I'm getting a physical copy instead since I've never owned an AC game before. Question for many of you who have siblings/parents/others that might play, would my 55+ year old mother be into this stuff?
She really enjoys watching me sometimes play the Sims for example, and enjoys other casual games like Bejeweled. She REALLY wants to join my brother and I in Wii Bowling, but I'm worried about a "learning curve" if any in AC.

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVAlso what? I'm in the same boat as Sats now?
Worry not, you aren't in the same boat! Sats is on the Dinghy with Kapp'n way out in the middle of the sea, presumably chloroforming him because the witnesses will be minimal (except for those damn Coelacanths), and you are at the edge of the shore peering through your telescope at the silhouette of the madness, debating on wether or not you should inform Booker.Who wants to be my Animal Crossing GIRLFRIEND :3
:3
So your favourite villager is Coco then?
Am I in?.
I was thinking of doing something like this, it just takes a fair amount of diligence.
So uh. What's your time zone?
EST.
I work all morning/day, so I may either be setting the ordinance to have shops open later, or always keep my clock set a few hours earlier so I can get stuff done in the evenings. But I'll have to see how it goes when I start.

Thanks a ton for doing this!I'll also include GAF history of posts (a number at least) so you'll know which is a lurker and who's dedicated to respond on GAF in case of problems or no response of the adds. This could help curb a possible notorious grieving that could happen later on.
Thanks a ton for doing this!
Thanks for the responses everyone, I've been attempting to get my mother off the couch and going for walks, and she found out the 3DS has a pedometer which would make her even more happy.
Hell, maybe my father would even like this game too due to his love of gardening.
It's kind of hard to watch someone else play a portable game, isn't it? You guys might enjoy City Folk on Wii more for these purposes. I think your mom might be more into that if she's already familiar with the Wii.
Semi-related, do you have a 360? Viva Pinata is a great gardening game. Actually, there's a DS version, too. But the 360/PC one is pretty.

Speaking as someone who at one time carried a pedometer—my favorite was made by Nintendo, even! the Personal Trainer: Walking pedometer is the best one I've ever used—the 3DS makes for one hell of a bulky pedometer. It's clearly designed for something other than fitness. But if you've got the pocket space, hey. Thanks for the responses everyone, I've been attempting to get my mother off the couch and going for walks, and she found out the 3DS has a pedometer which would make her even more happy.
It just occurred to me that it would be pretty incredible if I could actually build garden fences and gates. I can't, can IDon't worry, I'm a gardener myself so I understand your concern very much! :3
That one does look pretty nice, though of course it probably doesn't earn Play Coins, rendering it only useful for *yawn* fitness.I am looking forward to Wii Fit U because of the pedometer it comes with. :x
Is there a song that you always request from K.K. the first night you meet him?
Cue the AC commercial!Technopop K.K.!
In spinning off-topic, if a workout can earn a certain amount of coins or whatever, they can unlock outfits or new workouts, and whatnot.
Back to Animal Crossing though, the music in past AC games is just great. Makes for driving to work a pleasant experience.
Go K.K. Rider of course. Is there a song that you always request from K.K. the first night you meet him?
Forest Life, baby.Is there a song that you always request from K.K. the first night you meet him?
Inside the Treehouse with Animal Crossing: New Leaf -- Being the Mayor (Ep 5)
I still wonder how freely Ill be able to place public works items.
Forest Life, baby.
I love this one. Brings me back to a simpler timeForest Life, baby.
A time when everyone had a Pokémon Mini, and everyone left it at their friend's house… that theme really is sorely missed.I love this one. Brings me back to a simpler time
So where has the spreadsheet gone now? I'm confused.

Brand new theme for New Leaf. Many of the hourly songs incorporate the theme, so that's pretty cool.A time when everyone had a Pokémon Mini, and everyone left it at their friend's house that theme really is sorely missed.
Does New Leaf have a new theme? Or is it the same from Wild World on?
I just drew a good Bob if I don't say so myself on SwapNote.
He better come back to my town. I miss him. Daisy too.
Also... this song for life.
