Yes! Connection is region free and it's the only way to get regional exclusive event items/dlc.
According to this there are 20 acres plus what is probably the top row for the shopping district. I'm mostly curious how I'm going to have to plan my tree-planting. If tree counts are even a thing yet. :lol

For people who have played already, when you start is there a way to get a new set of maps to chose from, or are you stuck with the 4 or 5 given unless you restart?

Well, all white to start anyway.
As it turns out, it is best to apply the purple AFTER applying the white. The way I see it is, if I like the all-white, I can stick with that. If I want to change, I can go for the purple.
Having a purple 3DS XL would be pretty cool though, huh? One of a kind right there.

I liked it a lot. You just need to go into it with the right expectations. There are a lot of GAF impressions in the Damrey OT.
Blarg, not a very good commercial IMO. Makes the game look really ugly.
Go for it. It's pretty easy to get into and has plenty for everyone, in addition to giving you reasons to keep coming back to play (if you don't abuse the 3DS clock anyway).
Make sure to post a picture of the 3DS XL. I'd love to see it after you're done!
I'm liking to the idea of a purple lid. It'd be a really unique 3DS.

That aspect of the game play is one of the most appealing things, to me. I can't imagine why anyone would want to ruin the experience by doing that.
The idea of waking up in the middle of the night from, say, a restless sleep, flipping open my XL, and finding that the time in the town corresponds with my time...that's just so nuanced and cool.
I'd imagine that the things there are to do varies over the course of the day/night?
