That's a pretty fair assessment, although I admit I don't know enough about music to be too critical of it.

I really do miss the Xenoblade sound team, but I assume Sawano will be the main composer since he was even given a shout out in the trailer.

I think that could just be because he's very well known for his anime work and X will be his first game score contribution.

Thanks, Beetleking!

This is such a joyous time. Everyone's in high spirits and the hype train is going full steam ahead.

Sometimes it's really fun to be a Nintendo fan. :)

There are actually people out there who think the VA is bad. Smh.

But we don't speak of such specimens...

What? What I saw there was just really solid voice acting, period. On par with some Ghibli films, even. I'm dead serious...I wish the voice acting studios for AAA titles like Heavy Rain took even half of that much pride in their craft.

Holy shit this is going to crash!! I cannot fix anything anymore.. sadly..

Oh wow lol!

I think this is way more than last year.

True. If only the writing had been as good. It's not terrible but some lines and especially Shulk yelling "FIORA!!" all the time really got on my nerves.

Anyone watching multiple Directs? I wonder how much they gonna differ since theyre all based on E3...

I always watch all three at the same time. Japan muted ('cause I don't understand Japanese anyway), switching audio between NA and EU depending on the content.

NA and JP. I'm good at multitasking. Of course if they turn out to be identical, then I'll only watch one.

I'm really not feeling his style at all most of the time. This all sounds very one-note to me, and also a lot like the song in the X trailer. That big "chorus" thing that gets loud with strings and optional choir with a key shift seems to be his modus operandi. I hope he only handles a tiny section and they're assembling a team of composers again for this one like with Xenoblade.

Agree on all counts, good man. The guy has a lot of name recognition and fans atm, so it will probably help the game in Japan, but I can only hope his involvement is for a few tracks of the OST. Loud and messy is his game, and he has a limited bag if tricks as you mentioned. His style will work for specific types of scenes, but he does not have the range and composing chops for an entire video game score, at least not one that would match Xenoblade. Especially when it comes to anything that is not big and loud.

I would like to be in the HYPE scene please.

Also, can you please cover up Iwata's crotch area with maybe Nintendo's seal of quality. It is the only part I can't seem to deal with in the scene. -_-

If only we could somehow make this fit with that picture...

I read the wiki on this game last night. The story, the gameplay, the art direction simply from the box art....yes this game needs a reboot. I picture a hybrid between Mario, xenoblade, uncharted, and Zelda. With an orchestrated soundtrack no less

You just made me want the game even more, now I really want Retro's game (or any company) to be Star Tropics U.
