When talking about Somnus the Theatrhythm producer said last year that Versus was still part of FNC. There's no reason to drop the FNC aspect, and right now it's going to be the base for the story. It all depends on how it's executed.

Unless you're just talking about the XIII in the title.

They dropped the XIII name for Agito

People assume that XIII will be dropped for Versus too, and with such a high budget game it would seem logical to give it a number.

I wonder how much time they will give to the existing first party games announced. If they spend too long it will seem like they don't have many games, plus Im sure they will be on the show floor for everyone to play so it would be best to have everything new for the conference.

The first gameplay demo they show needs to be hard hitting. ND still has TLOU release so it wont be them and the only studio that has as much pedigree is SMM. It's time for Stig's new game to shine, really psyched to see what it is. He must have been working on it since 2010 which surely makes it well into development and maybe even ready for release with the system.

M0dus doesn't work for Sony. His tag is related to a awesome ND collaboration he did.

That said the consensus I'm getting from people is Sonys E3 will be one to remember.

Hopefully they are right

Is this proof enough for you? I am inclined to believe that he knows something.

Now I quite literally work for Sony (no, seriously. I'm a fully contracted developer, though we are mostly themes and marketing).

I'd bet good money that Infamous and Killzone are going to be the only two major games announced at the unveiling that will make their way to Sony's E3 conference. Knack and Drive Club will be shown in a montage and Sony will release a lot of gameplay to those two titles BEFORE E3.

Sony rules out always-online for PS4

Sony president of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, said that a constant Internet connection would not be required from users, given the differences in web services available across the globe.

“Did we consider it? No, we didn't consider it," said Yoshida. "The main reason being that many countries don't have robust Internet connections. It makes sense for people to have Internet connections to play online games, but for offline games there are many countries that we saw [that] do not really have robust Internet.”

Also, considering that this ad was running on tonight's Champions League final:

I'd say that 2013. EU launch is almost 100% confirmed.
I consider it confirmed at this point. You don't state 2013 at the fucking Champions League Final and not deliver on that.

No, no, no. I need more montages like the PlayStation Ethos one. It was that amazing.

I can feel Kaz smiling behind me. It feels like early winter. You know right when it gets just cold enough for you to start gather fire wood but it's not too late and there's no rush. You take your time and take in the changing of the seasons. All of your senses start to rush you like you have just fallen in love for the first time. You can smell the hint of smoke in the air. You can hear the wind and taste the air. Deep breathes have never felt so relaxing, so calming. It's beautiful.

I see them opening with their usual Game montages. Followed by Vita then PS3 then PS4.

After a montage they usually kick off the show with a big demo. Uncharted 2, 3 and KZ3 were all part of their opening demos. inFamous would fit since we've already seen KZ:SF in action. And i'm not sure that they'll roll out a previously unannounced game to be demoed. But you never know.

Last year Beyond was the opening demo wasn't it, that was unannounced at the time.

That's definitely true, but it was only an announcement and not a demo. The first demo was PS All-Stars. But you're right I guess they could just announce something and roll into a demo.

Would they put TLG at the start of a show? It's already been announced, although not for the platform that it's in development for now (PS4). And that would get the show off to a running start. I know people don't like to talk about that game, but we're at the point where if it isn't shown this year then it's mostly likely dead. It's been in development for two years on the PS4, and in that amount of time we've seen games fully completed. Although I think to the hardcore gamer, and that's who will be watching livestreams or on their TV, a TLG demo is big enough to close the show. It's not going to sell as much as GT6 or whatever Naughty Dog is working on, but I don't think that there's any game that Sony fans want to see more than that game.

Just when my hype started to deflate, you decide to post this and get me in a state of agitation?!
I want to believe, but then again, Sony've never stacked their conferences with announcements. They usually have 2-3 big IPs and a bunch of small productions to fill in between major reveals. If I were them, I'd go berserk, even if it were only a matter of brilliantly crafted trailers (and their trailers-montages are easily the best in the business). Sony have a lot of pressure knowing that they go last, and that Microsoft that have had a horrifyingly bad reveal will give it their best to convince the gaming community of changing their minds.

Well to be honest X1 isn't always online too, just once a day lol
Sony needs to be perfectly clear with their statements on e3, regarding any type of used game fees and any requirement of connection at all of kind

Doesn't it get much clearer thanthis when it comes to an internet connection?

OPM You talked a lot about service, tech and ideas; how are you going to present PS4 to a more casual market?

Michael Denny So I think two of the other pillars we talked about in-terms of design were simplicity and immediacy. Even taking back a step from here, PlayStation 4 can still be enjoyed old school without an Internet connection at all. So it depends what level you want to use these feature sets at. So with ’simple’ and ’immediacy’ we want it so that everything is one button click away, for example. And ’immediacy’ takes down these barriers that can be frustrating to gamers between the player getting access to the content.

Hey guys, I need someone to help me with a few banners for the Sony Conference OT. I'll provide a few specifications. PM me if you're interested and it would be better if you could provide a sample of your work. :)

I missed something. What gets you even more hyped?

AVALANCHE!

They spent way too long on the non gaming features. But, to their credit, they stated outright that they were saving the big reveals and such for E3 (and they damn well need to be, because i promise you Sony has an avalanche planned).

Now I quite literally work for Sony (no, seriously. I'm a fully contracted developer, though we are mostly themes and marketing).

GopherD and Kagari have been hinting at that as well. Sony's been holding back on a lot of games.

I think Japanese fans will be happy. :)

Just to reiterate just in case anyone misses this.

You know I looked up some of Gopher's old posts and in one of them he said

" MS has a discernable tactic of capturing enough must-have titles to attract everyone to their box, regardless of the negatives. This is their current motive. It may be always-online, but its the only place to play fallout 4 (for example). How this affects console sales? Who knows..."

The mention of Fallout might have been just an example in this case..but I do wonder.

Anywho I am glad that sony is going for the EU market from the get go. This gen both MS and Nintendo were ahead of them and they had to come back from later in the gen to take over (have they outsold the wii there yet? :S). If they can get the price right I truly believe they will make one heck of an impact in that region

Well, the "avalanche" could also be only gameplay-demos/trailers for the already announced games... ;)

Sorry, but I don't want to get disappointed. :lol

I think FO4 will be timed exclusive. We've heard Patrick from GiantBomb mention it showing up at the MS conference and now you have GopherD's comments If MS is doing this anti-used game policy and Sony isn't, then MS is going to have be aggressive in getting some sort of exclusivity over certain games to lure people to the Xbox One.

Yeah I mean I can't see a game like Fallout being more than a console exclusive really. But who knows :S If MS wants people to forget some of the policies they have some megaton announcements are the way to go

Please dont let mgs or any kojima games be exclusive to xbone. I'm really worried about it since Kojima showed up on ms video

Huh. Fallout 4 being xbox exclusive would be something.

It isnt exactly something I could see swaying many PlayStation faithful to jump ship considering bethesda's history of fucking things up with the ps3 and there history of xbox timed exclusive stuff already. Would get the xbox crowd excited though. "Rally the base" as it where.

I guess its like Final Fantasy XIV if thats exclusive. I can see why some xbox centric people wouldn't give a fuck but on the other hand people who have been gaming on PlayStation long enough to remember when Final Fantasy was at its best could get really excited.

There isnt a lot of them but I can see there being about 4/5 big "AAA" 3rd patty games that go one exclusive to one console or another this E3.

If I was you I might get used to the possibility....

I know nothing but Kojima making something exclusive for the new xbox has been one of my bets for a while.

Fallout 4 Xbox One (timed) exclusive will hurt the PC demographics I think. Aren't most Fallot players on PC?

So more than just one JRPG to show? Hmm that's awesome if true but I had assumed TGS would be the chosen stage for those titles.

Please be excited.
