Hehe, I'm happy just hearing the new soundtrack. My eyes can do without Lightning at 15FPS.
Was all covered a while back, he tweeted straight after and told people to calm the fuck down as he was just excited about the tech that's all.
Even if it did get PS4 support, I really don't expect it to sell to the mass market that buys these consoles.

yea good point, Wii U is dead right now anyway.
He was only referencing funny moment from CES Vergecast show where they were singing about Oculus Rift. He even confirmed that after few minutes when internet crashed down on him with PS4+Oculus confirmation requests.

13 days until the 10th! My 29th then E3 not bad....oh and I'm off work for 2 weeks 
Two things.
First off we have evidence - nothing concrete - but good indications, that Versus is now a next gen title.
Secondly, how does it kill all hype exactly? PS3 is a pretty awesome console and I for one won't be selling it off just because there's a newer box on the market. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was still a PS3 game. Anyone interested will still pick it up and enjoy it. I'll just be happy to finally play the thing!

At worst it's crossgen. Zero chance of that game not being on PS4.but it's probably for the PS3 though

No press event/conference. That is typical (For SE).
It does not mean they will not be exhibiting on the floor at E3. I notice many people get the two confused.

We...really don't. It depends on how much you trust "insiders" with no previous credibility behind them. There have been so many Versus rumors out there.
Other than that, I agree with you, except Versus would still be a big deal even on PS3. It'll likely be the best looking PS3 games besides TLoU and going by how they're bringing in traditional elements from FF (Chocobos, Airship, etc.) combined with a big world and a cool concept and setting, as well as an action RPG battle system, I don't know why anyone would lose interest if it wasn't a next gen title. Even if they show a new FF at the same time, I'll likely still prefer Versus just because Versus has seemed much more interesting to me than any FF before it, even if it's not as shiny.

Yeah that's what I said in my post. Just because it's last gen it wouldn't kill the hype for anyone truly looking forward to the game. The game will be massive no matter what system it releases for.
Lead architect not being always online is a shame. How amish of him.

If a next-gen version of any of these showed up, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. It's awesome that no matter how old I get (37 this year >.<), videogames can still elicit this sort of excitement out of me. Makes me feel young again.

This. I have a feeling they'll have a highly impressive showing and I like the Uncharted 2 inspired action / adventure direction. It could be a great new IP to replace Uncharted if ND want to try something new (outside of The Last of Us) or perhaps finally return to Jak & Daxter.
You know, I think I understand the PSone thing...
I think this all ties back to Sony going back to their PS1 mentality of courting developers, getting their input on games and the hardware - something that several people have mentioned to me before and after the PS Meeting.
Maybe I'm reading too far into it but... it makes sense. Maybe.
