And here we go...?
Just invested in some popcorn stocks.
If he calls an election Toronto better pay for it itself. I'd love to see him run on his fiscal conservative platform with a $7 million election just one year away from the real election.

We've all heard similar drivel from The Star before.
I don't think it exists, that's what I'm getting at. Everyone seems to take what The Star writes as truth. I will be shocked if we ever see the video, so for them to now apparently claim there are multiple copies of the video is asinine.
@SunNewsNetwork
Toronto Police closing in on alleged Mayor Rob Ford crack video? http://ow.ly/lrjm2 #TOpoli
I will vote ford again. He was the best choice at that time. seems like will be again.
I will vote ford again. He was the best choice at that time. seems like will be again.
If the video doesn't surface, the Star is subsequently wide open to a MASSIVE libel/defamation lawsuit. Not to mention serious damage to their own credibility and reputation. How is this an easy out?Because they have an easy exit if the video doesn't surface, as I said before.
Wtf how is Ford better than Stintz, Holyday or even Mammoliti (sp)? At least before I could understand since Smitherman is proven incompetent and lost the province over a billion dollars but this time around there is no excuse. Why would anyone vote Ford other than to watch the city burn?I will vote ford again. He was the best choice at that time. seems like will be again.

When is this circus going to end, this has done nothing but make Toronto look like a jokeRob Ford Video Copies Out There, Toronto Star's Robyn Doolittle Says: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/05/27/rob-ford-video-copies-robyn-doolittle_n_3343234.html

Wow, at least youre consistent.
Ladies and gentlemen, the average canadian.
Even the Sun News Network is getting in on this.
If I ever got hit by a car and lost enough mental capacity that voting for a Conservative made sense, I still wouldn't vote for Ford; I'd vote for this guy:
![]()
I always felt sorry for Tory. Everyone seems to like him but not enough to elect him for anything.
But panic Nintendo is best Nintendo.the still-loyal Fordistanis are reminding me of those "Panic Nintendo is best Nintendo!" guys lol.
Not that the Sun had any credibility to begin with, but hopefully people remember they heavily endorsed him for mayor.
Well it is bullshit that Catholic schools are publicly funded but not any other schools from any other religion. Its too bad the Supreme Court has upheld the public funding of Catholic schools.I like him, but I'll never trust him due to that boneheaded religious school funding promise.
Not very conservative of him...
I will vote ford again. He was the best choice at that time. seems like will be again.
So the first time you voted for him you knew he was a moron.
Now you know he smokes crack AND is a moron and you still want to vote for him?
Nothing to see here, people. Willectro hasn't seen it, so the video doesn't exist. Nothing to see here. Please disperse...Has yet to be publicly confirmed.

As much as it sounds like this is the real deal, we do need to be cautious and respect the fact that charges have not been laid
Charges? What charges do you think could possibly be laid?
Yeah this is starting to seem faker by the day. Maybe if this was the 90s I'd buy into it but it never takes this long for a video to be on the internet these days.
Yeah, I completely understand what he's getting at and I agree that nothing is official until the video is released or seen by the proper authorities. But we've got two Star reporters who have seen the video and agree that it is legitimate. We've also got a Gawker reporter who watched the video (separately from the Star reporters? I'm not sure about this point) and his description of the video corroborates that of the two Star reporters. We've also heard (from Doolitle I believe?) that there are multiple copies out there and that more and more people are coming forward claiming that they've seen the video. This is a pretty good indication that there IS a video out there. Will we ever see it? A couple of days ago, I was seriously doubting it. But now, with word of several copies existing and the Crackstarter having met its goal, I think that it might get to us plebs after all.As much as it sounds like this is the real deal, we do need to be cautious and respect the fact that charges have not been laid, nor has the video seen public release.
Ford is like an incredibly unfunny Chris Farley and I cannot believe he is the mayor of Toronto....but going after Willectro because he wants proof is a bit of a witch hunt.
When the video does come out (and at this point it sounds like it probably will) we can start a thread dedicated solely to animated Willectro GIFs (hard "g"), but until then I do think it would be wise to treat all developments in this story with a grain of salt.

Willectro was almost being obnoxious in his relentless and repetitive denial of the existence of the video, to the point where he's simply giving a flippant "the video doesn't exist" response to many posters here. He willfully ignored the fact that three journalists have seen and verified the video's content. And a growing number of people who have also seen the video are coming forward. There IS a video. He is also implying that the Star has an easy out if the video never surfaces. Well, the only out that they could have is an enormous PAYout to the Fords for libel and defamation. If what the two Star reporters saw in the video was not 100% legitimate, they would not have described what they saw in print for fear of legal reprisals. The glaring fact that Ford has not even mentioned the possibility of suing the Star should be another indication that this video exists.
Somebody else here in the thread mentioned that the Star has been right about everything with respect to Rob Ford's shenanigans in the past, but Willectro doubts the Star's credibility where Ford is concerned. This same poster asked Willectro to name one issue that the Star has reported on Ford that turned out not to be true. Willectro has not responded since..
I, for one, would like to see Willectro respond to this previous challenge. Name one contentious allegation that the Star made toward Rob Ford that turned out to be false. I'd like to state for the record that I honestly don't know if this has ever happened, but I think that he needs to answer this question, otherwise his failure to respond can only be inpterpreted in one way.
So, based on all of the preceding info, it seems that Willectro is simply plugging his ears and singing tra-la-la and willfully ignoring the evidence against Ford that keeps mounting on a daily basis. We may not have the smoking gun, but many people have seen the gun being fired and we can see and smell the smoke increasingly every day and it's starting to stink to high heaven.
I realize that you've had a bad personal experience with the Star, which sucks. So I can understand your distrust toward them. BTW, feel free to elaborate if you want as you've piqued the interest of many of us here. Although we'd all understand completely if it is something that you'd rather not discuss and have it remain private. I too would be wary of the allegations if it were solely from one source and it was a distrustful source. But as you've mentioned, other entities are involved and more are getting involved on a daily basis. Heck, I didn't even mention that the police have gotten involved and are specifically looking for the video.A great summation, thanks PeteZa. I haven't been following the thread closely so this helps frame things.
I put zero faith in any "journalism" coming out of the Star, but you're right that the poster in question is handling this poorly. The additional reports coming from non-Star entities is becoming damning.
