In Japan, you run faster if you don't use your arms. I think it has to do with the high humidity level and drag?
I think that was a joke.What?
I think that was a joke.
Uh, wow. The Sonic Xtreme meets Mario Galaxy comparisons are spot on.
I can't tell if I'm just seeing wrong or not, but is that the figure 8 running animation I see halfway through the trailer?

I really wonder what crazy level design ideas could be implemented. Exciting stuff!
To be fair, this is the first time he's seen sonic, but he watched me play galaxy 2 recently.have you told him to wait 2 more weeks?
My three year old watched the trailer and asked where Mario was
Sonic was always fast, but it was never fast for the sake of being fast. A lot of the times (especially in later levels) it would be a steady but cautious progression because running at breakneck speeds would often end with a spike, enemy or some other hazard that would stop you. Speedy gameplay came from an understanding of the level, its paths, and the enemy layouts so you could attempt to blaze through something in a matter of seconds/minutes. They have definitely taken steps to have a good compromise of both with recent games.
Aaand the 3d sonic are full of neck breaking speedy parts where you barely touch the controller at all.
The speed is fine.
Is this the first time a Sonic trailer is using licensed music?
Gameplay looks interesting, but I find the game's graphics quite disappointing. I think both Sonic Generations and Sonic Unleashed look waaaaay better, even being aware of the artistic differences between those games and this one.

Dat perspective o_o
I thought Colors was a crappy game though, and I've never played generations other than the demo. I'll check it out though.
Watching the trailer again, it's obvious the game looks way worse visually than Sonic Generations and even Sonic Unleashed. WTF?
Looks like it was done by the Sonic Colors team.
Because you wouldn't see where you were going.
I'm getting Sonic Xtreme vibes...
It really is, the only good thing about that mess is its soundtrack, yeah I don't get SonicGaf obsession over it either.

Super Peel-Out ???
That's what I thought too.
Sonic XTreme meets Mario Galaxy. The trailer actually makes it look like a game and not something conjured up by creepy Sonic fanfiction Deviant Art users, which is good. But then again, that's how the Sonic cycle always starts.
The bad guys look a little out of place though.
