Is it weird that I'm more hyped to play Last of Us than I am to see PS4 in all its glory at E3?

I wonder what will be a megaton (in GAF at least):

MS having one exclusive from Capcom, Bethesda, and EA or Sony having 3 exclusives from Square Enix?

I think a exclusive Bethesda game would make GAF go Ape shit crazy.

Hopefully not Fallout 4.

I think it will be pretty equal, MS buying thirdparty exclusives and Sony spending their money on their big firstparty stable.

I think they'll be equal but with Sony having slightly a bit more due to supposed heavy Japanese support.

If you're more into a Western lineup that rose up during this generation (Dead Rising 3, Mirror's Edge 2, Fallout 4), then Microsoft's stuff might be for you.

If you're more into a mix of stuff with Japanese classics (Final Fantasy, potentially The Last Guardian, inFamous), then Sony's stuff might be for you.

I think in terms of 'scoop for MS' it would have that kind of reaction but not really on a more personal level, because Bethesda games on Sony platforms are notoriously trash in quality.

Nope. For me, E3 is like a great distraction to help me get through the last week of waiting for TLoU.

I'm also super hyped for E3 too.. but, still...

I dunno, whenever there's a Final Fantasy related game, the posts can reach over a thousand, 500 if it's a "minor" announcement.

If it's Fallout I'd be willing to bet it will be a timed next gen exclusive, hitting 360/PS3/PC/XBO one day then PS4 later. I'm expecting similar with MGSV, just that one will hit PS4 before XBO.

Someone in here thinking MS has a Ubi exclusive but they're very close with Sony, exclusive content for all their big games, so I don't see that happening

I'm more interested in Final Fantasy than most series of games, I even enjoyed both 13 games on their own. People's opinions didn't deter me from having fun.

Having said that, if Fallout 4 IS exclusive to XBone, I'll just wait a year and get the GoTY PS4 version.

I think you guys are worrying too much. PS3 survived the horrible early years stuffed with MS megatons and exclusive games to come out as the 2nd place console this gen. PS4 can't possibly do worse then that.

On Ubisoft they're more likely to do a PS4 exclusive content deal at this point.

EA is probably one of the big supporters of used game DRM so we can see why they've laid out their loyalties as such.

Also, show me a lot of indie stuff. The lack of indie-publishing is one of the reasons I'm likely going with the PS4 over the One. Show me more stuff like The Witness, Doki-Doki Universe, etc.

I also think it would be a big deal if they got some Kickstarter games on the platform. Games like Torment and Broken Age would be awesome games to see there, and they'd likely be console exclusives as well due to MS's poor decision to not allow self-publishing.

their game will not only need PSN account but then you need to log into your EA account to play as well.

More doesn't necessarily mean better. It seems like MS is going after a bunch of the same type of stuff.

Getting that impression as well just reading all of the leaks and rumors here, and by the fact they capped their reveal with 5-10 minutes of Call of Duty. I buy Playstation for the variety and it's good to hear from you that is the direction Sony is going for 3rd parties as well.

Honestly i'd be happy if Sony would turn their attention back toward Japan as far as securing exclusives. If they're really trying to remind gamers of the PSone and to some extent the PS2, then that's what they'd do.

Yeah, I appreciate they're (Sony) not just going after violent games, shooters, sports games, etc. Yes they have a deal on Destiny content/co-marketing but at least it's a new IP rather than Call of Duty #47.

You're going to see big Japanese support out the gate, for example.

The weird one to me is Activision, they seem to be sleeping in both beds giving Microsoft exclusive COD content, and exclusive Destiny content to Sony. It really makes you wonder what their view of the DRM stuff is, even more so when they never bothered with the Online Pass system.

I do hope Disney Infinity is announced for PS4, my daughter will love that game.

I'm almost positive that Respawn's game will be a full exclusive from EA at this point and that it'll be Microsoft's big game of the show.

I'm guessing most of exclusive Microsoft's lineup consists of Western oriented games (Dead Rising 3, Fallout 4, Mirror's Edge 2) and Kinect stuff whereas Sony's is very diversified (shooters, artsy games, racers, action adventure platformers, JRPGs).

If anything it's probably timed with at least a PC version at launch as well. It's also an online only shooter so I can't see it being *that* great coming from an unproven, new studio. Could be wrong though. I personally don't care about their game though.
