In that case, I will wait to put in my town name. I probably won't have the game until the 12th 'cuz of Amazon so I wouldn't get it when everyone else is playing.
 
I just thought about something : it would be cool if any TV set you can get in the game could display the in-game weather forecast for the next two or three days (like in Harvest Moon) ! Nintendo, get on it !

Actually... If New Leaf is the same as Wild World for the TVs... There is a weather channel that can come up on the TV forecasting the next day's weather.

So my sister is asking for me to post her FC (2707-2891-3680) for animal crossing buddies! She is in the process of getting her GAF account but hasn't been approved yet.

I myself had added quite a few people on the list that have added me as well, but I still have about 50 pending slots. If anyone would like to add my sister, myself (0559-6765-2149), or both of us let me know! We are both on PDT (GMT -7) and don't time travel.

Yeah, this happens all the time for me. Only it's my brother and two friends who practically live here. I haven't really looked at my streetpass junk since PAX East though.
 
Does anyone know if the fishing/bug-catching tournaments are on set days of the year? Like, if there is one for me, will that mean that there is one for everyone else too? It might be really cool to take the competition global and have a GAF league of sorts. Hall of fame all that jazz.

Yep! The first one is on the Saturday after we get the game! So... on the day of the Australian release!

Actually, you can!
It airs at 6:15~6:30, 7:45~7:59, 11:45~11:59, 18:45~18:59, and 22:45~22:59.
 
Gonna try to make it to the Wii U E3 event at the local best buy (sucks there's only one location in the whole state, but what can you do..). Assuming it'll be a clusterfuck, but hopefully that means I'll get a lot of streetpasses at the very least.
 
Hey guys, do we know if there is region locking on the local multiplayer? I live in Europe, but I imported a 3DSXL from America. I know Luigi's Mansion doesn't let my friend (with an EU 3DS) and me play local multiplayer.

Also, worst case scenario, we should be able to play 'locally' via online, right?

There's no locking.

Actually, its suggested that when the OT goes up, EVERYONE, I mean ANYONE who doesn't have the GAME YET (EU, US, BUNDLE, 3DS) should sign up immediately in the spreadsheet.

I'll add your FC as necessary in there. Other than that, your info is all that's needed.

Good news, I can add you on the master list. But in the submit spreadsheet's comment section you CAN add anyone's FC, including your sister's on there. :) Its a safe option to allow non gaffers at least.

I have 60 friends right now, so I'm starting to run out of space. There's still members here I'd like to add who are waiting for their new 3DS.

I'm also quickly losing space in my letterbox app. It'll be full within 10 days if it keeps up like this!
