If the Xbox One is the only place I can get my Halo, Crackdown, Forza and Gears fix then Microsoft has my money but they do need to fix the DRM issue which I think they will. There is a lot of unique things that the XO can do and I can't wait to see what they have in store at E3. Consider me hyped.

New IP's
Lionhead New IP, RPG with MMO elements
Ryse
Titan (also available for 360)
Black Tusk Shooter
Kinect Fitness
Family Kinect Game IP by Rare
Quantum Break

Returning IP's
Killer Instinct 3
Crackdown 3
Mirror's Edge 2
Forza 5

Should be a solid showing. I expect Black Tusk IP to be very early and just be a teaser. I think the above list is what will happen and is a good showing.

For comparison sake, this is what I reckon PS4 E3 showing will have

New IP's
Santa Monica IP
Ready at Dawn action adventure IP
The Last Guardian
Zindagi's new Move IP
Drive Club
Knack

Returning IP's
Final Fantasy XV (also available for PS4)
inFamous Second Son
Killzone Shadowfall

Microsoft showing will be stronger with more games, however I think Sony will spread out more announcements over Gamescom, TGS and VGA's, with games like Uncharted 4, MediaMolecule's new IP and Guerilla Games fantasy IP. Where as Microsoft will blow their load at E3.

You named like 5 games from like 5 of MS's 20 studios how exactly will they be "blowing there load"?

I've been fairly negative towards MS post reveal but recent comments do make me a bit more excited about their gaming front. If they did put in $1B towards game studios and expansions might get to see some cool shit. Don't mind if they got some neat Kinect games assuming it makes some nice use of the device instead of some gimmick, it certainly has the potential.

I'm always hoping for a new Fable that is more like the first game, one day. That fucking charm and colour pallet are so nice it's a tragedy the game went in the direction the third game did. Though I enjoyed Fable 2 for the most part.

And how is having a massive showing at E3 being turned into a negative?

E3? The biggest gaming show in existence with the most media coverage? Might want to blow the doors off of that convention.

I have no clue, you'd think Sony would want to impress at the biggest stage available. both MS and Sony will bring their best games for the biggest media event available.

HELL YEAH!!!

Because it's too early for MS to announce games from studios who have released games not too long ago. Such as 343 releasing Halo 4 not long ago. Where as Sony have a ton of developers due for a game. Finally it's normal for Sony to announce more games than MS at other events, just compare the last 3, VGA and Gamescom events between Sony and MS.

Don't forget Microsoft set up several new studios too (like London, Osaka etc)

Also the output from the end of a generation is nothing compared to the start. Especially now they have invested an unprecedented $1 billion into Microsoft Studios games alone.

Maybe because they want more attention for the games they announced at the event, and too ma y games will take attention from each other. Also perhaps Naughty Dog don't want to announced Uncharted 4 while Last of Us is just getting released, and Guerilla Games don't want to announce their new IP while they are still showing Killzone. Just look at the past VGA and Gamescom, they have announced Resistance 3, Ratchet All 4 One, Uncharted 3 and etc at these events.

How new are these studios, if they just opened them not too long ago would any of these new studios be ready to unveil their games. Also how big are these studios, are they big ones like 343 or small like Twisted Pixel.

I have deep inside no more expectations, almost leaning onto bad predictions after the bitter taste from the reveal.

What multi format games do we think they'll show? Personally I'm thinking:

BF 4
Something from Eidios. Thief?
Fallout 4 as well.

Not many most likely, they've already showed EA games and CoD and they consider this to be part 2 of the reveal. Considering they have 15 exclusives in the work I hope we will see nothing but exclusives.

Most of the studios have been working on stuff internally since like early 2011

and to answer you above ...

you can say the same for sony

SSM(I know their size) just released gow, MM is working on tearaway(small studio). ND has two teams but both teams actually work together doubt UC4 is much further then planning stage at this point.

In the next 18 months most of MS studios should be releasing games.. except probably osaka

I can only speak about Osaka, but it's been up and running for some time. They are fairly sizeable given they are working on a rumored two projects at present.

I'd say full unveils would be unlikely, but CG trailers and the like may be possible. MS are almost certainly saving Osaka's big hitter for TGS, but there were at least 3 or 4 other New studios built from the ground up.

Keep in mind also, Rare are rumored to be working on 2 or 3 games and Lionhead possibly 2 as well.

BF 4

There'll be something from Square Enix, no doubt Thief. Final Fantasy XIV port or Versus could possibly happen, but it's hard to say.

BF4 is a cert. CoD will make an appearance too.

Going to be tight, time wise, that's why it seems obvious to me that there will be some announcements saved for Gamescom and TGS.

I think these are the 1st party studios we can expect to develop big core titles. The smaller ones like Press Play probably focus on casual games/Kinect/TV/Family stuff:

Rare - ?
343i - Halo
BigPark - ?
Black Tusk - New IP (shooter)
MS Victoria - ?
MSLA - ?
Turn 10 - Forza 5
Lionhead - ?

I never heard of a studio announcing 2 games at the same time, so we'll probably only see one game each even if some of these studios have multiple teams.

I can't wait myself, especially since I'll be in attendance again this year. Less than two weeks away! I have faith that Microsoft will have a really good showing this year. Better than they've had in a long time.

Didn't ruffian confirm they're not making a new crackdown? So maybe one of the new studios will take a stab at that franchise. I could also see Rare with 2 IPs the confirmed classic IP and a brand new one, they've been quite for quite some time. We have mattrick on record saying he's pushing to show black tusks game so hopefully we see that. I expect something with halo in the name shown as well ( but it'd be a cold day in hell if they show halo 5)

It is unfortunate that they are going to waste time on the Xbox 360. Hopefully it is like a 5 minute price drop and dashboard update and that's it.

I forgot all about that!

Hopefully they start with 30 minutes of X1 stuff (gotta start off with a bang). Give 10-15 minutes to the 360, then back to X1 stuff.

If my suspicions of them launching in October (and maybe September) are right, they'll have a lot of playable stuff there. Not just videos.

Going by Paul Thurott, we'll see the Xbox 360 Mini and obviously an overall price drop. I honestly don't expect much more, the heat is on for Microsoft to impress with the Xbox One, so I see them wrapping that up in five to ten minutes tops. After that, it's moving swiftly on to the absolutely stupid amounts of games they have coming.

Compare to Sony who will need to give at least equal time to the VITA and have a not inconsiderable amount of entertainment, services, functionality and design they still have to talk about.

Still 90 minutes just won't be enough, so there should be many announcements (read: megatons) saved for Gamescon and TGS IMO.

The question is, how many of those exclusive games are Kinect games.

Just give me 4 maybe 5 exclusives games that I would really be interested in playing and devoting time to. They clearly already have two covered with Forza and Quantum Break. Any more than that and it's gravy. Hit me with 2 to 3 more exclusives that I'd be excited to play. If they hit me with even more than that, then I'll be one happy camper. And this is my version of scaled back expectations. Not like exclusives are the most important thing to me (they aren't), but Microsoft talked a really big game about their exclusive lineup. I'd like to see them deliver.

There is always the after show PR disaster to look out for!

More importantly, what game do you guys think they will kick off the show with this year?

My long term memory loss means I can only remember Halo 4 last year and that BLOPS gameplay that started with the controller disconnecting the year before. Maybe Battlefield 4 with a "24 hour online check required" message popping up, for consistency?

Microsoft copying Sony again wtf.

There is always the after show PR disaster to look out for!

Phil Harrison found bound and gagged in makeshift prison under Los Angeles Convention Centre.

I hope Microsoft opens with a massive Xbone megaton game reveal

Final Fantasy Versus 13 Exclusive only on Xbone lol

Believe.

Going by Thurott we would've seen Illumiroom at the reveal. Guy knows jack shit, just bites on every rumour and pretends he has super secret insider info. He doesn't even reach 50 % truth to his predictions, pure randomness.
