I thought the site had become less fun to post on recently. Those guys who were banned really contributed to making this place awesome.
Anyway, any theories as what MS show at thier conference? I'm thinking they'll go nuts and show off games that are anywhere from launch to 2 years away.

At least this time their calling their conference "Xbox: A new generation of games and entertainment" so I expect games... and entertainment.
Last year was "Entertainment evolved" and well, we got what we got.
I'm very optimistic for this year.

Do you have a link to the meltdown? That guy made so many nonsensical posts in the hype-thread. Literally hundreds. I absolutely don't want to gloat or anything but it's nice to not have to read any more of those posts.
June 10th is going to be a fantastic day with all of the big conferences.

As mentioned, people are generally posting in other threads. I expect there's also a feeling that any positive discussion towards the One or MS in general might result in people being labelled as fanboys, warriors or apologists.
Not diminished just lurking hoping for good news one of these days. And since there's no MS hype thread for e3 haven't found many threads worth posting in.
1 hour for games is a lot. But I think the whole conference will be about games.

I think it will be for gamers, but not just games. They will go over the new achievement system and other gaming aspects of the new OS.

Well they've said specifically E3 will be about "Games", so a majority of it will be, if not the whole thing.
The question is what games specifically. So they have 15 first party published exclusives coming within the first year, 8 of which are new IPs. Many of those will appear but as per above some won't (MS Osaka RPG for TGS, we may see Lost Odyssey 2 though...)
There's also bound to be a few third party exclusives, like Dead Rising 3, Titan, Hawken, Insomaniac's game, Mirror's Edge 2 etc.
I'd imagine there won't be much time to get into the nitty gritty of the OS, so they may leave that for after the keynote.
All aboard the MS E3 hype train! She's a little battered and war-torn but she'll get us there.

I am still hyped; we never got all the Official info about the Xbox One, now is the time.
E3 is going to be, either absolutely amazing! for MS fans and gamers or The Great Dissapointment Part II that will split Human History into Before Microsoft E3 and 2013 After Microsoft E3.

Thats the exact thing you don't want to do at E3. Games like Deep down and Forza have been under estimated because its real time but nor representative of gameplay. Come on this is next gen, gameplay should be able to wow.
Black Tusks new game is bound to be a graphical showpiece for the system so you never know.

Seriously though, I think we'll be wow'd plenty by both Microsoft and Sony, let's give them a chance to produce the goods for real.
No problems with it, too early on build gameplays usually are boring and hard to tell what it's really to be expected of. Sure, there are good ones, think of MGSV, but the game is already cinematic, a lap on racing game is not that thrilling.
That been said, I have low expectations over the game choices, I really appreciate when they make B games because arcade is the path they tend to go, not artsy projects.

Yeah, I expect something like that. Gamescom could show us more european centric stuff (Lionhead's new game, Rare's 2nd rumored game, something from Press Play or Lift London maybe)

I think there are still a lot of people very excited about the conference. I just don't think we put that excitement into posts. We used a lot of energy with the Reveal thread- give us some time to recover, damn it. We're not machines!

Count me onboard. Really looking forward to this one, MS have everything to prove and i think we'll see some really awesome looking titles.
They'll probably have to touch on DRM now. It seems like they hadn't planned to include that kind of thing, but now if they just show games there'll be complaints they didn't cover these issues instead.
Of course if they show stuff other than 'just games' there'll be people who complain about that as well. It's a nice Catch 22 that's been set up so people can be bitterly disappointed either way lol

I'm told by no less than two industry insiders, that happen to be my friends, that it's a thing. Though they both are differing on who's developing, when it's coming and when we'll hear about it, as far as I'm concerned I'm just happy it might happen.
There's been a lot of rumors on the net lately too and it's just about the only game that Aaron Greenberg and others won't comment on when asked straight out.
