Please don't...

Are there really new demons or just a color change from previous existing ones btw ?

Well, I hope not, but... it's their most famous franchise right now. Not expecting Atlus planning for some sort of DLCs for it is a bit naive, I think....

Dunno about those but duckroll did say the demons from the day one DLC were just color changes (with differents stats and spells though).

SUN SLINK EXCLUSIVE TO GAMESTOP

JUSTICE SLINK EXCLUSIVE TO AMAZON

HAMA SPELL EXCLUSIVE TO BESTBUY

10$ TO UNLOCK MINATO SKIN

I know your joking, but they aren't that stupid. I doubt Atlus would pull an EA like that. No dlc will affect gameplay like that, they aren't that big of a company.

The last one seems likely though.

Hmmm. I wonder if we could see Persona DLC of the form of new Social Links, or if those would be too ingrained into the game to realistically be able to be plugged in or removed.

I think social link DLC would work great. It wouldn't really affect the main game at all, it would fit in perfectly. All you have to do is add a new student at school or something.

I like how the descriptions for the all new DLC basically read: "For people who find the game difficult. For people who don't have a lot of time. For people who want to unlock all the apps so they can proceed through the game without a care in the world!" etc etc.

In other words, for suckers.

That Minotaur design looks pretty badass btw.

I don't even care about pay2win stuff because I play SMT games in part because they aren't just romps to the end all the time but damn do they have to put demons in this DLC too? This shit is unacceptable to the highest degree. If I wasn't completely confident that the game itself will be worth it I'd cancel my preorder over this shit. Not happy at all that stupid armor and dumb shit like this is the DLC we're getting after being told that DLC would be meaningful.

Really hope they get the pay2win DLC out of the way and actually put out something worthwhile.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking.

the first new demon is apparently a palette swap for Minotaur.

Since the day one dlc demon was also a palette swap, its safe to assume the blue one duckroll listed last is also a palette swap.

Dat easy $$$

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE A LIFE AND 3 KIDS coming up, autowin game

I'm thinking it might have an effect on balance. I've only played Persona 3 Fes (of the Social Link titles), but isn't it only just possible to max out everything if you know what you're doing? That can't continue to be the case if you add in a new social link, you end up with more to do in less time - or you balance the game around as if the social link was there, and then people without the link suddenly have a couple of weeks extra to max everything out.

...but then Fes added in Aigis, didn't it? How did the timings work pre-Aigis's link?

On top of that, it's not really a feature I could see it being possible to add in halfway through a game, which I suspect is one of the allures of DLC - adding content to a game you're already enjoying, rather than adding it in only for new players. It still strikes me as tricky to insert.

I can see how much you love Index, duckroll.

I like how the descriptions for the all new DLC basically read: "For people who find the game difficult. For people who don't have a lot of time. For people who want to unlock all the apps so they can proceed through the game without a care in the world!" etc etc.

So they're basically selling the Very Easy difficulty level. People buying this stuff had no business buying the game in the first place.

Can anyone with the game confirm if Asterius is a palette swap of the actual Minotaur demon in SMT4? Also, is Plasma a palette swap of anything? Or is it original?

I don't mind this kind of DLC so long as it's not "pay-to-win".
Index is an imporverished charity case of a publisher and needs our monehs to ensure they don't revert to making smartphone games like every other JRPG publisher.
