And yeah, Fleury indeeeeeeeeed. Woo! The series is totally going to come down to goaltending...I still don't buy Emery as a playoff goalie.

...don't you mean shootout goalie? :)

I'm thinking (hoping?) that Fleury will crack under the pressure. He's good, but I highly doubt we're going to see the second coming of Patrick Roy - or even Cam Ward. Ottawa does have their lousy playoff history against them, but I'm thinking (praying?) that the core group has matured enough to shake that monkey off their back. Sens in 7...care to make a friendly bet?

Nothing really to say about the game. We lost, we didn't deserve to win. We cant blame anyone but ourselves. We were in 3rd place like what, 2 months ago? Sheesh.

Anyways, all I really want to say is that Neale and Cole HAVE to go. Good lord they were downright painful last night.

To best completely honest, the Senators scare me and it feels like it's their time...at least to make it into the final four. Realistically, I'm thinking Sens in 6 due to the sheer firepower of Heatley, Spezza, Alfredsson, etc. As a Pens fan, I'm thinking Pens in 6 or 7. They've proven that they can skate with Ottawa in the regular season and it's really going to come down to whether the kids get stage fright or go out there and play like they can.

Fleury is more Grant Fuhr than he is Patrick Roy or Cam Ward. He's a very stylish goalie...whereas Emery is just above a Raycroft. ;)

So the refs give the game to the Leafs and we only manage to get 6 shots on net after Raycroft gets pulled. Oh and nice dive Wellwood. What a little bitch play to get a 5-on-3.

:lol The Wellwood dive was immediately obvious and pretty ****ing sad, but the other penalties were totally legit. Your Habs basically pulled a Leafs with those boneheaded penalties at the worst possible time, and they've got no one to blame but themselves.

Last night more than any other showed just how deeply buried Cole and Neale are up the ass of the Leafs. I was cringing at some of the shit they were saying, and was frankly embarassed, shuddering to think of what those outside the "LEAFS NATION!!!" were thinking to themselves. On behalf on the few saner Toronto residents and Leaf fans that are left, I apologize.

Thankfully they turned the commentary off for the third period and turned up the music at the strip bar I was watching the game at...er, I was there for the delicious club sandwiches.

I'm happy to say I missed the Cherry stuff. There are a few times I agree with him, where he can sound pretty reasonable and even well-mannered. But more often than not he comes off looking like a twat.

As for today's game, if New Jersey feel like borrowing Vince Carter from the Nets locker room and throwing him in goal for today's game then that's their ****ing right, and NO ONE in Toronto can say shit about it. They had their chance to take the Isles out, and they squandered that opportunity in spectacular fashion (well, wasn't quite as spectacular as the Rangers game, but anyway). The Devils only need to look after themselves...they're one of the best teams in the league, and getting that many points means you've earned the right to rest top players when there's nothing left to play for.

Besides, what makes anyone think the Devils care to do the Leafs any favours? They didn't even care about the coach who led them to this position. :lol

I do hope Jersey wins though...a Leafs/Sabres series would be a lot of fun to watch, since they're each other's closest neighbours. What was fun about last night's game was seeing all the Hab jerseys in front of the ACC (I went down there a couple hours before the game), and the Hab and Leaf jerseys in bars up and down Yonge Street. Seeing more opponent fans in the stands than normal makes the atmosphere even more electric, and nowhere is that more true than the Leaf games in Buffalo.

Don't worry though...TO would still get creamed. :lol

40 years from now we'll still be talking about Frasier's DUH, I DIDN'T SEE GRETZKY'S HIGH STICK TEN FEET IN FRONT OF ME!! blunder. Only because it'll be at least another 40 years before we win the cup. :lol

And :lol @ Oilers...what's the point of collapsing like that if you're not gonna finish the job? ****ing morons.
