Weak dude, the Leafs only reason they won't get in is there own fault for not beating the Islanders head to head last game. If you want to start going back over the season you could say the Flyers ended the Habs season by beating them way back early in the year. :lol
I don't really know what to say, the Huet decision turned out to be the wrong one, just like I thought.
Oh well. Credit goes out to the Leafs for coming back, they played hard, and although I'm not so sure they deserved to win, they still won, and thats all that matters.
Manics, you win the bet fair and square, Montreal chocked the season away and I ate my words, bottom line.

Afraid of Montreal? They can't play 5 on 5. Just look at the +/- again tonight. Habs only hope is when their goalie stands on his head and they get PP goals. Tonight Huet wasn't there, neither was Raycroft and it was a shootout.

Well the Montreal powerplay has been very good, and special teams has been Buffalo's achilles heel most of the year, plus Huet's a very good goalie when he's on his game. Also, Buffalo always seemed to get psyched out playing in the Bell Center, moreso than in the ACC this year.
It's not like Toronto could not beat Buffalo- anything can happen in the playoffs- but I think it would be very unlikely. Their goaltending is a mess right now. Would Aubin start in the playoffs? Toronto would try to come hard at Buffalo on the forecheck but in so doing could put themselves out of position resulting in a lot of odd man rushes...
Of course this is all probably moot. Tomorrow's game now means everything to the Islanders and nothing to the Devils. New York has been playing better than TO or MTL lately so they'll probably win.
What a miserable 3rd period that was for the Habs.
Sad to see them out of the playoffs, but hopefully fans will realize that we don't have a team as good as they think. For 2 years we barely got in the playoffs. That doesn't make us a playoffs team; I'm hoping this will convince the team to make important changes and fast.

LOL at Don Cherry saying it's not fair to give Brodeur a rest? That old fart is more psychotic that I realized. NJ should rest Brodeur. The guy played pretty much the entire season. Sure he can play one more game and add to his single season record, but giving him the rest is a wise move from a team perspective.
I want to see the Isles in the playoffs. Without their star goalie, they really rallied behind their core guys of Blake, Smyth. I'm cheering for the Isles to end the Leafs.

It was Wolf and Manics who had that bet right? Maybe Manics can waive the bet off? I would think the Habs missing the playoffs thanks to the Leafs is punishment enough, not to mention Wolf is the least deserving of the Habs fans to get banned (in terms of being a hockey fan rather than just a habs fan)
