I hope we get a few surprises in the ND. I have a feeling they'll only talk about previously announced games (W101, NSLU, Pikmin 3, 3D Mario, Wind Waker HD, Smash Bros). That'd be a shame tbh.

Not even going to read through this thread, it's probably people whining about 1 hour long or the silhouettes.

An hour is more than enough to show everything. The silhouettes mean practically nothing.

Chill.

No MEGATONZ = disaster?
They have 10 Wii U games to show coming in the next months. We should be hyped to see more about what's coming, not about internet excitation about things not available until 2015.

The console needs way much more games to even be slightly appealing
everything we know aside X is stuff that everyone already knew that was coming, nintendo needs fresh stuff to appeal more people

Wow, some of the assumptions in this thread are incredible.
Pre-E3 negative jitters. Happens every year. "Man, if this is shown, that means the other thing won't happen. Goddamn Nintendo for destroying my faith based on nothing but speculation. Why won't you love me!!??"

I'm fragile after E3 2012. Reggie needs to rock me in his big strong arms while whispering Rosalina's bedtime story.

OMG that's the shadow of Captain Falcon dressed as a Pikmin, isn't?!!!!

I am starting to get the feeling nothing new will get announced, except for maybe the new mario game. If it is not a dissappointing Mario Galaxy HD collection or something.

Fall games will be that and wind waker HD.

What has nintendo been doing for the past year???

This will be the third time pikmin 3 is at E3

Nintendo already said a few months ago that E3 would be more about showing announced games..

..as with Nintendo Directs they can make other new announcements throughout the year.

That's not to say there won't be a few announcements (Retro's game, maybe some Zapper stuff, Wii Sports U).....but I'm sure this will be mainly about known quantities that have yet to be seen.

My "realistic expectations" entail footage of everything they announced back in January (except possibly SMTxFE), as well as Bayonetta 2, and finally the revelation of Retro's game. Nothing else will be "new".

I do also think there'll be at least one hardware or service related announcement, however.

If you download the calendar at the top of the page on your phone, it shows: Nintendo @ E3 Direct from 10am to 11am on June 11th.

The one hour concerns the Direct.

Wait, your basing that hour thing entirely on a calender file Nintendo provided? I think you're putting to much trust into that one...

Notice how it says Nintendo Direct and not Wii U Direct, like how they usually do for Wii U specific Directs (and 3DS Direct for Nintendo 3DS specific directs).

View a new installment of Nintendo Direct, which will provide updates
about future Wii U games.

I don't see any 3DS here.

Last time I checked you can set minutes on a calendar schedule.

I would be completely fine with this. Seriously.

And actually thing you might be right.

That can be said for any developer that makes sequels

Yes. and nintendo has historically relied on using the same IPs but in new games, not direct sequels. In the past 6 years they have released tons of direct sequels, which to me is disappointing.

And yes I am breaking down. And yes it is a defense mechanism. :P

And no, I don't own a WiiU or 3DS so I probably shouldn't be complaining, but I would like to have a good reason to purchase them someday.

But it clearly says:

I always just wonder if they're going to have demos at participating Best Buys, why not just put the demos online and let everyone on the Wii U try them out?
