Seems like we'll find out soon. I downloaded it and sent to grizz so if he can get it to work someone making a fresh dummy account should work as well.
This game has a wonderful feeling of weight to it. The shooting feels spot on, exactly how I'd imagine any regular person that has had fire arm training like Joel would be performing under these circumstances. Everything feels right, and the controls are spot on and have weight and delay without ever feeling like they're in your way.

I think this means even if this works that everyone who gets it needs to actually finish the larger download within, so it'll be a lot slower than normal sharing where you can just begin the download and pass it on.

Sorry if this is a little off topic but anyone else that rented from redbox downloading some other demos that came with Ascension? Downloaded starhawk, sly, journey, and gow orgins demos....Never tried any of them

Yeah, doing the actual demo download from the launcher now. It'll take some time, but as soon as it's done I'll deactivate the account on my PS3 and PM the account info to someone else.
I recommend getting several dummy accounts into rotation if we want this to not take forever, my download is only at 5%. Only if people are willing of course.

By the way, I read that someone said this section from the demo has some of the least impressive graphics from the game. Apparently during the day it looks “breathtaking”.

Demo will not work if you deactivate an account, I just tried it, so you can't really pass it off beyond 2 people unless someone deactivates and is completely done playing it.
BTW, I just made a dummy account. First to quote gets it.

One of them walks into a room by himself which lets you choke him out, and another has his back just facing you so those 2 are easy. I haven't tried more than that but I'm going to go through again now.

I went after the one in the room first. He turned around fast as hell and by the time he yelled 4 others ran over
i enjoyed the demo, the gameplay feels good and that to me is great, graphically on the other hand this game has something weird going on, it seems to have a very soft grainy filter that makes the image quality a little blurry to me, specially in areas with low light the game can look very soft, almost like if the game was sub HD, i fucking hate those grain filters, anyway, looking forward to buying it day 1!

Are you playing on hard? I think maybe it's harder on hard... cause they turn on me every time too.

What a fantastic demo! Thanks to everyone who joined the stream. Hard really stepped it up a notch after doing easy.
I'm on media blackout as well, but there are really no spoilers in the demo. Just skip the trailer that comes after (you can pause and skip it like a regular cutscene).
Definitely worth playing to get a feeling of the game.

Once it's downloaded & installed, do you have to put the disc back in the drive to start it up, or is it the standard demo after?
